WIMBLEDON, England (AP) - Good thing Wimbledon schedules its middle Sunday as a day off.
Gives everyone a chance to catch their breath after an eventful Week 1.
Really, what could Week 2 possibly have in store to equal what the first six days offered?
Rafael Nadal lost in the second round to an unknown guy ranked 100th. Roger Federer dropped the first two sets of his third-round match before coming back to win. Five-time champion Venus Williams departed on Day 1, and her sister, four-time winner Serena, needed all of her tournament-record 23 aces to pull out a 9-7 third-set victory in the third round. There even was the only perfect set - winning 24 of 24 points - in women's professional tennis history.
Action resumes Monday with all 16 fourth-round matches.
