Virginia State Police were kept busy Tuesday morning with a series of crashes, two of them fatal, along I-95.
The first accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. along Southbound I-95 at mile marker 154 in Prince William County.
The driver of a van traveling south lost control, ran off the left side of the highway. The van then struck a guardrail and overturned at lest two times.
Two passengers were ejected from the van. Both were taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital, where one later died. The other person is being treated for life threatening injuries.
The driver was taken to Potomac Hospital.
The names of those involved have not been released.
At about 7:45 a.m. an accident involving a bread truck and a tanker truck near the Dale City Exit is currently being investigated. There is one confirmed fatality and state police are on the scene investigating. Traffic is reportedly getting by in the right two lanes.
