A seventeen year-old Caroline County girl was killed trying to cross Route 1 Thursday evening.
State police say Mia McManus of Ruther Glen was in the right travel lane of southbound Route 1near Deerfield Road in Caroline County when she was hit by a car around 6:30.
She was flown to VCU where she died.
