SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: On March 6 at 12:45 p.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Cordova Court in Waldorf after a resident called to report a suspicious subject walking around the back yards of several neighbor’s homes. The subject was peering in windows and checking the locks on the doors. He also looked underneath a doormat at one house, possibly in an effort to locate a key. Officers responded and observed footprints in the snow between several homes but did not find any evidence of a break-in. Officers established a perimeter and at one point spotted the man in the distance. The subject fled and after a search was not located. The suspect is described as a black male, heavy build, mid 30’s, wearing a large black coat with fur trim on the hood, blue cargo-style pants and white tennis shoes. Pfc. R. Bagley is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Between March 1 – March 5, unknown suspect(s) broke into a car in the 10800 block of Winchester Street in Waldorf and then broke the ignition on the steering column. The scene was processed for evidence. POI V. Warker is investigating.
BURGLARY: On March 4 between 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., unknown suspect(s) kicked in the rear door of a house in the 6000 block of Sirenia Place in Waldorf and stole an electric coin bank. PFC J. Williams, III is investigating.
BURGLARY: On March 4 between 8:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 6100 block of Tapir Place in Waldorf and stole miscellaneous items including a shoe, a skirt and books. A neighbor located the items scattered outside her house. Officers processed the scene for evidence and canvassed the area for witnesses. Officer N. Garner is investigating.
