DETECTIVES IDENTIFY ROBBERY SUSPECTS:
Charles County Sheriff’s detectives
assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Rachard Marshall,
18, and Kwaune Marshall, 20, both of Fredericksburg, Virginia, in connection with a
strong-armed robbery that occurred on Dec. 10. During the robbery, the suspects
confronted a 17-year-old male as he was walking in the 2000 block of Tanglewood
Drive in Waldorf. The suspects assaulted him and stole his Nike Air Jordan tennis shoes.
Investigators developed information which subsequently led to the suspects’ identity. Both
suspects were arrested on Jan. 23. During the course of the apprehension, detectives found a
key inside Kwaune’s pocket and learned the key belonged to a Camaro. Officers located the
car and a computer check revealed the car had been reported stolen from Washington, D.C.
Inside the car, investigators found a handgun. Both Rashard & Kwaune were charged with
robbery and second-degree assault. Det. A. Celia is investigating.
THEFT OF TRUCK:
On Jan. 23 at 10:49 a.m., officers responded to the 10000 block of Housely Place in White Plains for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the victim reported he had just entered his house when he was confronted by a male who pointed a gun at him and demanded the keys to his truck. The victim complied and the suspect fled. Officers and a police K-9 team responded and canvassed the area. The victim’s truck was located unoccupied on Red Horse Court. Officers continued canvassing and processed the scene for evidence. The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 6'0”, approx. 185 lbs, wearing a black stocking cap, black North Face jacket, black gloves and blue jeans. Det. B. On Jan. 23 between 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 1000 block of Stoddert Avenue in Waldorf and stole money, an XBOX, and two guns. PFC D. Arends is investigating.
On Jan. 23 between 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) forced open a back door to a house on Riverside Run Drive in Indian Head and stole a PS3, Kindle Fire, jewelry and a pair of boots. PFC M. VanHorn is investigating.
On Jan. 22 between 7 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., unknown suspect(s) kicked in a back door of a house in the 3200 block of High Timber Court in Waldorf and stole jewelry and cash. Officer J. Hatfield is investigating.
SUSPECTS CHARGED WITH STEALING RELATIVE’S CAR:
On Jan. 22 at 12:51 p.m., officers responded the report of a car crash in the 3000 block of St. Charles Parkway. When officers arrived, they observed the car overturned on the side of the road but no one was inside the vehicle. A witness observed two occupants climb through a window and run to a nearby apartment building. Officers went to the building and subsequently reviewed security footage which showed the suspects entering an apartment. Officers knocked on the apartment door and located the suspects, German Ramos-Rivas, 22, and Dimas Barahona, 19, both of Waldorf. Contact was made with the car owner who indicated one of the suspects was related to him and did not have permission to drive the car. Both suspects were charged with theft. PFC P.
