BURGLARY: On Jan. 2 between 8:45 a.m. – 4 p.m., unknown suspects broke into a house through an unlocked window in the 2200 block of Reverdy Farm Road in Indian Head and stole electronics, jewelry, tools and a generator. Officers are working on leads in this case. PFC B. Moore is investigating.
 
BURGLARY: On Jan. 2 between 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., unknown suspect(s) threw a rock through a back door window of a house in the 8900 block of Dove Drive in Bel Alton. Entry was gained; however, nothing was reported stolen. Cpl. C. Long is investigating.
 
ROBBERY: On Jan 1 at 4:37 p.m., three teenage males entered the Crown Royal Barbers in the 2900 block of Shasho Place in Waldorf, displayed a gun and announced a robbery. The victims – a customer and employee- complied and the suspects fled in a dark colored minivan. Detectives are working leads and are asking two witnesses - who were inside the business during the robbery but left prior to police arrival - to contact them. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. A. Celia of the Criminal Investigations Division at (301) 609-6518.
 
OFFICERS APPREHEND BURGLARY SUSPECTS: On Dec. 31 at 1:33 p.m., a witness called police after noticing a neighbor’s house being broken into on Keepsake Place in Waldorf.  Officer D. Proctor, who was the first to arrive on the scene, quickly spotted two suspects on the rear second-floor deck of the townhouse and saw another suspect coming out of the residence. Officer Proctor apprehended all three suspects without incident. Jorden Anthony Ruth, 18, of Waldorf; Traveon Lashay Hood, 19, of Waldorf; and a 17-year-old male were charged with theft. In addition, the juvenile was in possession of suspected marijuana and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Detectives J. Long and J. Feldman of the Criminal Investigations Division are continuing the investigation.
 
ROBBERY: On Dec. 31 at 6:50 p.m., three male suspects approached two teenage males who were walking in the 11100 block of Mall Circle Drive in Waldorf.  The suspects threatened the teens and then asked for their iPods and money. The victims complied and the suspects fled in a green BMW. One suspect was described as a black male, 18, dark complexion, wearing a red coat and retro Jordan jeans. Another suspect was described as a black male in his teens, light complexion, medium build wearing a jean jacket, cargo pants and Adidas tennis shoes. The third suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male in his teens, 6’1”, wearing a jean jacket, black hooded shirt, and Polo pants. Officer D. Gehrman is investigating.
 
DETECTIVES IDENTIFY AND ARREST ROBBERY SUSPECT: On Dec. 26 at 9:30 a.m.,  detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, along with officers from patrol, warrants, and a police K-9 team, arrested Brandon Leach, 26, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the Cricket Wireless store on Dec. 17. Leach was developed as a suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained. Evidence linking Leach to the robbery was recovered from his house in Waldorf. Det. A. Celia investigated.
 
BURGLARY: On Dec. 31 between 11:45 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., unknown suspects broke into a house in the 2300 block of Love Place in Waldorf and stole televisions and jewelry. Officer E. Baker is investigating.
 
BURGLARY: Between Dec. 25 – Dec. 29, unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 2500 block of Wakefield Circle in Waldorf and stole coins. Officers processed the scene for evidence. PFC D. Chandler is investigating. 
 
PATROL OFFICERS APPREHEND BURGLARY SUSPECTS: On Dec. 27 at 1:15 p.m., officers responded to the 11600 block of Kipling Drive in Waldorf for the report of a theft in progress. A witness told police a male was outside a vacant house and stealing an air conditioning unit. When officers arrived, the male was not outside the house. Officers entered the residence and found one suspect in the kitchen area; he was in the process of stealing wiring. Officers continued to search the house and located another suspect hiding in a back bedroom. Elmer William Pessagno, 21, of no fixed address, and Michael Jonathan Bennett, 25, of no fixed address, were arrested and charged with theft. PFC J. Kelly is investigating.
 
BURGLARY: Between Dec. 22 – Dec. 29, unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 3000 block of Huntington Circle in Waldorf and stole several items. The victim said he noticed a dark colored car parked near his house but as he went to check on it, the driver fled. PFC J. Foster is investigating.
 
BURGLARY: On Dec. 27, unknown suspect(s) stole numerous car parts from a garage in the 5900 block of Race Car Place in La Plata. PFC. J. Walter is investigating.
 
PATROL OFFICERS FIND DRUGS IN CAR: On Dec. 26 at 10:45 p.m., officers J. Morales and R. Kimble checked on a suspicious car parked in the parking lot of a motel in the 3500 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Upon approaching the car, officers detected the smell of marijuana. A quantity of drugs was located and the occupant, Brandon Malcolm Robbs, 20, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
