THEFTS OF BATTERIES FROM CAMPERS:
Between July 17-July 18, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) stole a battery from a camper and a power cord from another camper parked in the 10400 block of Mark Drive. The suspects also stole a battery from a camper parked in the 2100 block of Briarwood Drive in Waldorf. PFC J. Morales is investigating.
THEFT OF FISHING POLES:
On July 17 at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 6700 block of Colonel Beall Court in Hughesville for the report of a burglary. Investigation showed unknown suspects broke into a garage and stole several fishing poles. Officer A. Fenlon is investigating.
PATROL OFFICERS APREHEND THEFT SUSPECTS:
On July 13 at 12:43 p.m., officers responded to Wal-Mart in the 11900 block of Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, officers were alerted by store security that two suspects - previously suspected of stealing a cart full of merchandise including air conditioners, generators, a glass table, chairs, gas trimmers, cell phones, safes and various other items - were back in the store loading up a shopping cart full of merchandise. The suspects left the store without paying and were apprehended by officers who were waiting outside for them. A cart full of items was recovered. David Chance McDonald, 28, of Lothian and Linda Joanne Garner, 27, of Lothian, were charged with theft over $1,000. They were remanded to the Charles County Detention Center. PFC. D.
