DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/POSSIBLE ATTEMPT BURGLARY:
On Sept. 14 at 8:43 p.m., officers responded to the 11500 block of Scotch Hills Place in Waldorf for the report of a breaking and entering in progress. Officers met with the victim who stated she was inside her house when someone tried to kick in the front door; entry was not made. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and processed the scene for evidence. Officer B. Clark is investigating.
Between Aug. 12 – Sept. 12, unknown suspects broke into a house in the 3100 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy and stole long guns and other property. The owner of the house had been away during that time period. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and processed the scene for evidence. Cpl. J. Timko is investigating.
OFFICER RECOVERS STOLEN CAR:
On Sept. 13 at 10:30 p.m., Officer J. Garner was conducting a parking lot check at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he observed an unoccupied suspicious vehicle. A computer check of the registration plates revealed the car had been reported stolen from another county. The car was towed for safekeeping. Pfc. J. Garner investigated.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES:
On Sept. 13 between 5:40 a.m. – 4:15 p.m., unknown suspects broke into three cars at the Mattawoman Park and Ride in the 3200 block of Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf. Stereo equipment and other items were stolen. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. Officer J. Garner is investigating.
