Officers determined the suspect broke into at least 12 cars and stole cell phones, money, clothing, jewelry and other miscellaneous items. All of the stolen goods were located and recovered. Travis Demetrius Smoot, 29, of no fixed address was charged with theft. Officer H. Burgess is investigating.
WOMAN APPREHENDED AND CHARGED IN FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On June 17 at 1:39 p.m., officers responded to the Master Suites Motel at 2228 Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing.
