The Charles County Sheriff's Office will be temporarily closing its' District Two building on Indian head highway, effective immediately.
A report has confirmed elevated levels of mold and allegens that have to be corrected.
There will be no interruptions in police service. Officers assigned to the building will continue to work their assigned beats and use the sheriff's office mobile command center in the station's parking lot.
The front cubicle of the building will stay open to citizens who need to use the community phone for police related calls.
