Child Suffers Serious Injuries in Crash

An accident on Fall Hill Avenue in Fredericksburg results in a child being flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries.
The accident happened just before 3 p.m. west of the Interstate 95 overpass when a car attempted a U-turn and struck another car forcing it into a disbaled vehicle on the side of the road.
Two people in the first car were taken to Mary Washington Hospital.
The child in the second car was in a safety seat, but police report that the saefty seat was not secured in the vehicle. the child is reported to be five or six years-old. The two adults and other child in that car were not injured. Charges are pending against the driver of that vehicle.
23-year-old Christina Joyice of Fredericksburg who was driving the first car is charged with reckless driving and failure to yield.
