A sign of summer has been in place since last Tuesday at Fairview Beach in King George, but could be removed after today.
This sign is a warning to stay out of the water, after hundred of boats flocked to the area over Memorial Day. The levels of dangerous enterococci bacteria, that shows the presence of fecal matter, was four times the normal limit. Even though testing will be done today, there could be even more problems if a couple days of forecast heavy rain churns up sediment from the bottom.

The first major event at the future Dominion Raceway in Thornburg is being called a huge success. Thousands came from as far away as New York and the Carolinas over the weekend to attend the Moparpalooza. Representatives from Dodge are on hand there to showcase the new Charger, Hell Cat and other vehicles that people will be finding in local, state and national dealerships. There was also a competition for trophies and bragging rates for the owners of some of the couple thousand late model Dodge vehicles brought to the raceway.
The event raises $25,000 for the Fisher House Foundation and Dodge matches the amount for the group. It provides housing for loved ones of military to stay, so they can be near them during recovery from wartime injuries.
