Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports
MONDAY, APRIL 30, 2012
LARCENY:
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 4/28 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm. A visitor reported that prescription
medication and a number of other items of value were stolen from his unsecured vehicle in the
parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
700 block Princess Anne St, 4/28 – 4/29 3:00 am. A resident reported that her purse was stolen
while she was a guest at a party. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 4/29 3:00 pm. An employee reported that he heard a door
alarm sounding and saw a black male and a black female exiting through the rear doors with
merchandise in their arms. The two subjects threw the items in the back of a black full-size
pickup with New Jersey license plates and fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
1000 block Princess Anne St, 4/28 1:00 am. A Stafford resident reported that her iPhone was
stolen while she was a guest at a party. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
Dunning Mills Inn, 2305 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/27 – 4/28 5:00 am. A guest reported that his
vehicle was scratched and damaged in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Willie Arbogast, 30, of King George was arrested for DUI, refusal to submit to blood or breath
test, possession of schedule II narcotics, and possession of marijuana in the 100 block of Mary
Washington Blvd.
Gerry White, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1900 block of Jefferson Davis
Hwy.
ARRESTS:
Thomas Turnbull, 55, of no fixed address was arrested for aggressive solicitation.
Bertha Eura, 65, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging her
with writing bad checks.
Richard Robinson, 45, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
Leon Wynn, 51, of Spotsylvania was arrested for posting signs on public property.
Michael Fauntleroy, 44, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and
trespassing.
Dominic Eitt, 31, of King George was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Michael Monter, 44, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Ralph Burgess, 50, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Stafford charging him
with violation of a protective order.
Jason Dunbar, 31, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Bobbi Snellings, 28, of Stafford was arrested for possession of schedule I, II narcotics and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thomas Fitzgerald, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of schedule I, II narcotics
and possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant from Caroline charging him with
failure to appear in court.
Brittany Flippo, 22, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.

Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports
FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 2012
 
LARCENY:
1300 block Dandridge St, 4/26 1:00 am. A resident reported that an unknown person stole
loose change and some library books on tape from his unsecured vehicle. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
1500 block Augustine Ave, 4/25 – 4/26 11:00 am. A resident reported that loose change was
stolen from his two vehicles, both of which had been left unsecured. No suspects or witnesses
at this time.
 
VANDALISM:
500 block Maple Ct, 4/26 6:00 am – 5:00 pm. A resident reported that an unknown person put
sugar in the oil reservoir of her vehicle, causing the car to break down. The investigation is
ongoing.
ABC Store, 1271 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/26 5:40 pm. An employee reported that a male
subject asked to use the restroom and was denied because the store does not have a public
facility. The subject walked into one of the aisles and urinated on the shelves containing
bottles of gin, then left the store. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s
wearing white shorts with a red stripe and a blue jean jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
200 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 4/12 – 4/26 11:00 pm. A resident reported that an unknown
person shot a BB through a rear window of the house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
ARRESTS:
Jesse Webber, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Target.
John Mulcahy, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.
Tiburcio Bautista, 42, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.
Thomas Bailey, 19, of Stafford was arrested for drinking in public and underage possession of
alcohol.
Edward Jackson, 22, of Stafford was arrested on a warrant from Stafford charging him with
failure to appear in court.
Brandon Walea, 19, of Stafford was arrested for shoplifting from CVS.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office Incident Report
On April 25, 2012 at approximately 2:15 p.m. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 11000 block of New Market Court for a report of a burglary.  First Sergeant Carter was the first deputy on scene and met with the homeowner outside of the residence.  As he was gathering information they noticed a black male in his early twenties exit the rear of the victim’s residence wearing a red sweatshirt and khaki pants.  The victim verified the subject did not belong in the residence.  First Sergeant Carter gave commands for the suspect to stop for which he ignored and a foot pursuit ensued.  The suspect was initially lost in a heavily wooded area but deputies were able to quickly contain the area and call for a police canine to assist in locating the suspect.  Deputy Truslow of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with the search for the suspect.  The suspect was later found by Deputy Truslow’s canine partner and ignored multiple commands by Deputy Truslow and others on the scene.  The suspect was then apprehended by Deputy Truslow’s canine partner.  The suspect was treated for his injuries and charged with breaking and entering.  The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of coins which were recovered during the incident.
The suspect was identified as Roberto Vincent Toral 23, B/M from Stafford.

Charles County, Maryland, Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
CRIME SOLVERS TIP LEADS TO RECOVERY OF WEAPON ON SCHOOL GROUNDS: On April 25 at 9:45 a.m., an anonymous Crime Solvers tip was received at Thomas Stone High School, 3785 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf. The tipster said they observed a student in possession of what appeared to be a black handgun. Officers made contact with the suspect and a black “BB” gun was located in his coat pocket.  The suspect was also in possession of a box cutter razor knife.  The suspect, 17, was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon on school property. He was released to the custody of a parent.
 
MAN ARRESTED AFTER BREAKING INTO HOUSE:  On April 24 at 9:58 a.m., officers responded to the 10400 block of La Plata Road in La Plata for a burglary that just occurred.  The victim reported she exited an upstairs bathroom of her home and entered her bedroom where she observed an unknown male standing next to her bed.  She screamed and the accused fled the residence. Officers arrived, obtained a description and immediately established a perimeter. A police K-9 team conducted a track and located the suspect on Whales Drive in the nearby Kings Grant neighborhood. The suspect was apprehended without incident. Curtis Wayne Duff Jr., 18, of Waldorf, was charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary and remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with $25,000 bond. 
 
Further investigation revealed the suspect broke into the house and was carrying an empty back pack which he kept hidden underneath his jacket. It is not clear how he gained entry but he fled out of the rear sliding glass door.  Anyone with additional information relating to the suspect is asked to call the CCSO at (301) 932-2222. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.  
 
SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH: On April 25 at 10:03 a.m., officers responded to the area of Woodville Road at Watson Road in Hughesville for the report of a motor vehicle collision. A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Honda Element was traveling East on Woodville Road and slowing to make a left turn onto Watson Road when the driver of a Ford Ranger crossed the center lane striking the Honda head on. The Ford deflected off the Honda and left the roadway striking a tree and overturning. Both drivers were flown to Prince George’s Trauma Center where the driver of the Ford - a 49-year-old male - is being treated for life-threatening injuries and the driver of the Honda - a 65-year-old female - is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
 
During the course of the investigation, officers located a witness who indicated that just moments before the crash near Watson Road, the driver of the Ford was actually involved in another crash on Woodville Road near Kayak Drive; no one was injured in that crash but the driver fled the scene. Both collisions are being investigated by the Traffic Operations Unit. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.  
 
ASSAULT: On April 25 at 12:35 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Lake Drive in Waldorf for the repot of an assault between known parties. Investigation revealed the victim, 27, and suspect were engaged in an argument when the suspect, Gregory Derrell Lea, 42, of Waldorf, punched the victim, kicked her, choked her and then threw a couch on top of her. Afterwards, he fled from the apartment and took the victim’s car. Officers canvassed the area and located Lea at a nearby store. He was arrested and charged with assault and theft. Officer J. Morales made the arrest.
 
BURGLARY: On April 24 at 11:10 a.m., officers responded to the 15000 block of Prince Frederick Road in Hughesville for the report of a burglary. Investigation showed the victim was away for the evening and unknown suspect(s) broke into the house and stole copper piping from several components inside the residence. Officers processed the scene for evidence. Officer C. Garner is investigating.

Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports
THURSDAY, APRIL 26, 2012
 
SEX OFFENSE:
Relax Inn, 1904 Princess Anne St, 4/21 – 4/22 8:00 pm. On April 22, the King George
County Sheriff’s Office notified the Fredericksburg Police Department of a sex offense that
had occurred in the city involving a juvenile female. The subsequent investigation revealed
that a 13-year-old female had been picked up from her home in King George on April 21and
transported to the Relax Inn, where she spent the night with the 32-year-old suspect. The
victim told her parents she was spending the night with a friend, and the Sheriff’s Office was
called when the parents discovered the truth after the victim returned home. The victim met
the suspect approximately one month ago through a mutual acquaintance, and the suspect and
victim communicated by cell phone and text messages.
The suspect had already fled from the area when investigators responded to the Relax Inn on
the evening of April 22, but information was received that he might be located in Smyth
County, Virginia. On April 24, deputies from the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office arrested
Jaime Hernandez, 32, of Chilhowie on the following warrants obtained as a result of the
investigation: six felony charges of carnal knowledge of a child age 13-15, two felony charges
of indecent liberties with a child, one felony charge of producing/distributing child
pornography, and seven misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Hernandez is currently incarcerated at the Smyth County Jail pending transfer to the
Rappahannock Regional Jail.

LARCENY:
1000 block Wicklow Dr, 4/20 – 4/21 8:00 pm. A resident reported that her son’s bicycle was
stolen from the balcony. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
VANDALISM:
Relax Inn, 1904 Princess Anne St, 4/25 12:00 pm – 1:50 pm. A guest reported that the door to
his room was damaged. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St, 4/25 6:40 pm. An employee
reported that a patron became angry inside the building and slammed the door on his way out,
breaking the hinges from the door frame. The suspect has been identified and the investigation
is ongoing.
 
ARRESTS:
Mary Jo Carter, 35, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony shoplifting from Walmart.
Nancy VanMeter, 58, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Perry Deskins, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct,
and assault on law enforcement.
Kevin Hanson, 36, of Chicago, Illinois was arrested for providing false identification to law
enforcement to avoid arrest and possession of marijuana.
Brittany Flippo, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for trespassing.

LARCENY: 
Capital Ale House, 917 Caroline St, 4/25 12:30 am. An employee reported that 3 white males left without paying their bill. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
McDonald's, 1212 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/24 10:30 am. The victim reported that his bicycle had been stolen from the area. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1400-block Brent St, 4/24 11:30 am. The victim reported that his hubcaps and grease covers had been removed from his vehicle sometime over night. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
 
VANDALISM: 
The Seasons at Celebrate Virginia, 2301 Dogwood Dr, 4/24 7:30 am. A construction foreman reported that several pieces of construction equipment had been left in the field since Friday afternoon and when they returned, found that several windows on 5 different pieces of equipment were broken. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Damion Nelson, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested in the 2600-block of Princess Anne St. 
 
ARRESTS: 
Cody Ellwood, 21, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication, inhaling a noxious chemical substance and possession of synthetic cannabinoid.

Charles County, Maryland, Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
BARRICADE: On April 24 at 6:31 a.m., members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office’s Tactical Response Squad and Warrant/Fugitive Unit and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Joint Task Force responded to a residence in the 4200 block of Drake Court in Waldorf to serve arrest warrants on Marco Antoine Williams, 33. Williams was wanted by the ATF for felony possession of a firearm and furtherance of drug trafficking, and by the Maryland State Police for vehicle theft, fleeing police and various traffic offenses.
 
Shortly after officers arrived at the residence, Williams barricaded himself in an upstairs bedroom and refused to surrender to or to communicate with police. Ultimately, officers released tear gas and when they opened the bedroom door, they found Williams armed with a knife. An officer deployed his Taser, allowing officers to quickly take Williams into custody. Williams was transported to Civista Medical Center as a precaution but he was not injured. He was later transferred to the Charles County Detention Center, where he was being held pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. The barricade lasted about an hour.
 
ARMED ROBBERY: On April 23 at 8:30 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the Plaza Shell located at 3185 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the reported armed robbery. The investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, approached the cashier and demanded money from the register. When the cashier refused, the suspect revealed a handgun in his waistband. The cashier subsequently gave the suspect money and the suspect then demanded the cashier’s car keys. The cashier complied and the suspect fled in the cashier’s vehicle but abandoned it less than a mile from the store. The suspect was described as a white male with green eyes. He was between 40 and 50 years old and was wearing a blue jacket with white stripes on the sleeves. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at

HATE GRAFFITI: On April 21 about 10:30 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the baseball dugout at the Southern Maryland Christian Academy located at 9805 Faith Baptist Church Road in White Plains for the reported property destruction and offensive graffiti. The suspect(s) spray painted a swastika, KKK, profanity and 4/20, a common reference to marijuana, on the dugout. A witness observed two individuals outside a vehicle in the parking lot around 12:16 a.m. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at

STABBING:  On April 20 at 10:31 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Jaybee Lane in La Plata for the reported stabbing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 39-year-old man, intervened in an argument between Joseph Henry Forbes, 32, of no fixed address and another man. A physical fight between Forbes and the victim ensued, during which Forbes brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the torso. A witness called 911 and officers arrived and ultimately arrested Forbes. He was charged with first- and second-degree assault and carrying a deadly weapon. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. The victim was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he was treated for his injuries. Det. Y. Austin investigated.
 
FUGITIVE ARRESTED: On April 20 at 9:30 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers assigned to the Judicial Services Section arrested Travis Sinclair Green, 24, of La Plata, who was wanted for violating probation on a first-degree burglary offense and for a home detention parole violation. The officers found Green in the 60 block of Jameson Court in Indian Head and arrested him without incident. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.

VANDALISM:
Your Floors, 1327 Alum Spring Rd, 4/22 – 4/23 8:25 am. The owner reported that the
windows on a vehicle in his parking lot were all shattered. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
Sports Zone, 1270 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 4/23 12:00 pm. The manager reported that a
passenger on a FRED bus threw a rock from a window of the bus and shattered the front
display window of the business. Responding officers located the bus but all of the passengers
had already exited the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
1500 block Fall Hill Ave, 4/16 – 4/23 1:40 pm. A city employee reported that graffiti was
painted on a bridge over the canal. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
ASSAULT:
Eagle Village, 1200 block Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/23 11:00 pm. A Spotsylvania teenager
reported that he was assaulted in the parking lot as he was walking to his car after a concert. A
suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
 
DUI ARRESTS:
Heather Sullivan, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 1200 block of Carl D
Silver Pkwy.
 
ARRESTS:
Andrew McCullen, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Eric Lee, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony domestic assault and battery and
misdemeanor assault and battery.
Anthony Turner, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

VANDALISM:
Central Park Shopping Center, 4/20 – 4/21 11:30 pm – 8:00 am. An employee of Rappaport
Companies reported that graffiti was written in chalk and washable paint on multiple
businesses and on the sidewalks and parking lots. Associated flyers were also posted in the
area. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Market Square, 900 block Caroline St, 4/20 – 4/21 8:00 am. An employee of the
Fredericksburg Area Museum reported that graffiti was written in chalk and washable paint on
multiple businesses and on the sidewalks and parking lots. Associated flyers were also posted
in the area. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Trolley Tours, 706 Caroline St, 4/20 – 4/21 9:30 am. An employee reported that the wooden
statue advertising the business was defaced and damaged. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
400 block Princess Elizabeth St, 4/23 2:00 am -5:45 am. A resident reported that a tire on her
boyfriend’s truck was slashed. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
LARCENY:
Golds Gym, 2380 Plank Rd, 4/20 4:45 pm – 6:00 pm. A patron reported that his street clothes
were stolen from an unsecured locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 4/22 9:30 pm. A patron reported that her purse was
stolen from her unsecured vehicle in the parking lot.
DUI ARRESTS:
Terry Simms, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 900 block of Princess Anne
Street.
Kevin Miles, 46, of Alexandria was arrested for DUI in the 2300 block of Plank Road.
ARRESTS:
Curtis Mullins, 47, of Rhoadesville was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him
with failure to appear in court.
Lynn Mullins, 55, of Rhoadesville was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
Dale Shadish, 55, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Wegmans.
Charles Thomas, 47, of Spotsylvania was arrested for drinking in public.

THURSDAY, APRIL 19, 2012
 
BURGLARY:
Dunning Mills Inn, 2305 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/18 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. A guest reported that
an unknown person entered her room and stole her laptop computer. There was no sign of
forced entry to the room. The investigation is ongoing.
 
VANDALISM:
Campbell Vending, 2301 Airport Ave, 4/16 – 4/17 6:45 am. The owner reported that the
driver’s side window on his vehicle was shattered and his windshield was damaged. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
ARRESTS:
Robert Kerrigan, 23, of Rhoadesville was arrested for hit and run and reckless driving.
James Brown, 61, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging
him with failure to appear in court.

Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 2012
 
LARCENY:
Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 4/16 9:00 pm – 11:30 pm. A Locust Grove
resident reported that his vehicle was stolen while he was at the emergency room. The vehicle
is a 1999 green Chevrolet Prism with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.
 
DUI ARRESTS:
Dharmesh Patel, 42, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1200 block of Jefferson Davis
Hwy.
 
ARRESTS:
Vincent Pace, 20, of Partlow was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with
assault and battery.
Quinton Allen, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for grand larceny, destruction of property,
and preventing a person from calling 911.
Michael Acors, 32, of Woodford was arrested for possession of marijuana and urinating in
public.
Taylor Grant, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

MONDAY, APRIL 16, 2012
 
ILLEGAL HUNTING:
400 block Riverside Dr, 4/14, 7:45 pm. An officer patrolling in the area heard suspicious
noises and observed two male subjects on the riverbank shooting a high-powered pellet rifle at
the waterfowl flying over the water. Antonio Peterson, 19, and Nicholas Cerda, 19, both of
Stafford, were each arrested for hunting without a license and illegally hunting wildlife.
Peterson and Cerda were released on summons and the pellet rifle and ammunition were seized
for evidence.
 
BURGLARY:
2200 block Idlewild Blvd, 4/14 6:00 am – 6:50 pm. A resident reported that an unknown
person entered her home and stole jewelry, cash, and prescription medication. There was no
sign of forced entry to the residence. The investigation is ongoing.
 
LARCENY:
Ground Keepers, 1515 Olde William St, 4/12 – 4/13 8:00 am. The owner reported that the
door was pried off a storage shed and tools were stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
Quaker Steak, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 4/13 2:30 pm – 7:15 pm. A patron reported that the
temporary license plates were stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or

driver’s license and a check were stolen from her vehicle while it was at the shop for repairs.

Bottom Dollar, 515 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/11 8:30 pm. An employee reported that a male
subject picked up two cases of beer and left the store without paying for them. The male left
the area in a red Honda Civic. The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20’s with
facial hair and wearing a white jacket and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
A.C. Moore, 1833 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 4/11 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. An employee reported that
her purse was stolen from the break room. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
2300 block Cowan Blvd, 4/11 10:00 pm. A resident reported that some of his personal

On April 6, 2012 at approximately 0030 hours, Trooper A. Moore was on routine patrol in the area of southbound 301 at Route 228 when he observed a gold Mazda Protégé with an inoperative rear license plate illumination.  Trooper Moore stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Robert Daniel Lindsay, 23 years of Alexandria, Virginia when he smelled an odor of marijuana in the vehicle.  Lindsay was arrested and charged with “did wear, carry and knowingly transport a handgun in a vehicle upon the public roads, highways, waterways, airways and parking lots generally used by the public.”

TRAFFIC COLLISION LEADS TO DRUG ARREST: On April 10 at 3:52 a.m., officers responded to the area of Smallwood Drive and Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a man jumping up and down on the hood of his truck. When officers arrived, the man was gone but they found the truck partially in the median with the engine running, gear in drive and loud music playing. Glass, which shattered from the sunroof, was scattered around the area. Officers discovered two viles of suspected PCP and marijuana inside the vehicle as well as a digital scale. The driver, Antoine Joseph Johnson, 30, of Oxon Hill, returned to the truck and was arrested without incident. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute and possession of drugs. PFC P. Deboe made the arrest.
 
SECOND-DEGREE BURGLARY: On April 9 between 12 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into Lisa’s Pub in the 4300 block of Indian Head Highway in Indian Head and stole a small amount of money. The scene was processed and evidence was recovered. PFC VanHorn is investigating.
 
VEHICLES DAMAGED: Between April 6 – April 7, unknown suspect(s) broke out the windows of several cars in the Lancaster and Hampshire neighborhoods. Nothing was reported stolen. Officers processed the vehicles for evidence. PFC J. Feldman is investigating.
 
OFFICERS LOCATE SUSPECTS IN ASSAULT AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  On April 7 at 3:47 a.m., officers responded to the Waldorf Motel in the 2100 block of Crain Highway for the report of a burglary in progress. The suspects had been involved in an earlier altercation with the room’s occupants who were known to them. The occupants opened the door and a struggle ensued. The suspects fled prior to police arrival but responding officers located them a short distance away. The suspects, Joseph Eugene Penn, 31, of Waldorf, and Billy Frank Stone Jr., 26, of Waldorf, were arrested and charged with burglary and destruction of property. Officer Makle made the arrest.
 
OFFICERS ARREST THEFT SUSPECT:  On April 5, officers responded to a building supply business in the 4300 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of a theft. Investigation showed the suspect went to the business on April 3 and picked up over $900 worth of electrical equipment and tools for a company he said he worked for. He provided a purchase order number and received the items; management later learned the man did not work there. Then, on April 5, the man called in another work order worth $100 and said he was picking the tools up for a different company. Management contacted the company and learned the man did not work there. The employees contacted police and when the suspect came to pick up the items, he was identified as the suspect in the earlier theft. Officers placed the suspect under arrest and transported him to the Charles County Detention Center where he provided a false name and social security number. A computer check revealed his true identity: Ricky Dorrell Smith, 40, of White Plains. Smith was charged with two counts of theft, theft scheme, forgery and providing a false name. PFC K. CRIME SOLVERS TIP LEADS TO ARREST OF MAN SELLING DRUGS FROM ICE CREAM TRUCK:  On March 30, members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit received a tip through Crime Solvers about a man selling drugs from an ice cream truck. The tipster indicated the suspect had just sold packets of marijuana and was believed to still be in possession of drugs. Officers located the truck near Bayswater Court and Sheffield Circle in Waldorf and initiated a traffic stop. A drug detection dog gave a positive alert. Several small baggies of suspected marijuana were recovered from the driver, Alexander Charles Hoskins, 20, of Waldorf. Officers also found a large amount of currency inside the truck which had been kept separate from the currency he made on ice cream sales. Hoskins was charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs.

On April 4, 2012 at approximately 0102 hours, TFC S. Murphy was patrolling northbound on Maryland Route 5, south of Maryland Route 925 when he observed a Silver Dodge Caravan displaying Maryland Dealer Registration.  A routine check through MVA/NCIC revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen through the Howard County Police Department on March 30, 2012.  TFC Murphy conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Joyetta Yolanda Moore, 47 years, of Washington D.C.  Moore was arrested for “did unlawfully, knowingly, and willfully take out of CARMAX Auto Superstore lawful custody, control and use, a motor vehicle to wit:  a 2010 Silver Dodge Caravan without consent of said CARMAX in violation of CR 7-105 of the Annotated Code of Maryland” and “did willfully neglect to return a motor vehicle to wit:  Silver 2010 Dodge Caravan after leasing/renting said motor vehicle from CARMAX Auto Superstore under an agreement to return said motor vehicle at the end of the leasing/rental period”.

the liquor cabinet. The computer was later recovered in the park adjacent to Maury Stadium.

Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports
MONDAY, APRIL 9, 2012
 
HOMICIDE:
300 block Brock Square, 4/7 3:30 a.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Brock Square in
the Central Park Townhomes for a reported homicide. A friend of the victim, who lives in the
same neighborhood, called 911 when he discovered the 28-year-old man lying bleeding and
apparently deceased inside a townhouse. The victim had been shot in the head.
The victim was identified as a resident of the home, Nathaniel Dywayne Henderson. No other
occupants were found in the house when police arrived.
Just after 3 p.m. on the same day, the suspect in the murder of Nathaniel Henderson was taken
into custody without incident in the 1000 block of Wicklow Drive. Tyrone Tomek Johnson,
35, of Fredericksburg was charged with first degree homicide and use of a firearm in the
commission of a felony. Johnson is currently incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail
under no bond.
Johnson and the victim were acquaintances, and the shooting reportedly occurred during a gettogether
of friends at the victim’s home on Brock Square. A dispute broke out between
Johnson and Henderson just prior to the fatal shooting.
 
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY:
J&K Fashion, 523 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 4/9 2:00 am. An officer patrolling in the area found
the glass shattered in the front door. It appeared that entry was attempted but not gained to the
interior of the business. The investigation is ongoing.
 
LARCENY:
600 block Kenmore Ave, 4/5 – 4/6 10:00 am. A resident reported that a lawnmower and
outdoor furniture were stolen from her back yard. A suspect has been identified and the
investigation is ongoing.
1300 block Hearthstone Dr, 4/8 1:45 am – 2:35 am. A resident reported that two laptop
computers and his wife’s purse were stolen while his son had friends over for a party. Two
suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Hibachi Buffet, 1901 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 4/8 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm. A patron reported that her
cell phone was stolen after she accidentally left it in the bathroom. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
1500 block College Ave, 3/25 – 4/5 12:00 pm. A resident reported that several decorative
finials were removed from his perimeter fence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Kenmore Park, 1301 Kenmore Ave, 4/8 5:45 pm – 6:15 pm. A resident reported that her son’s
bicycle was stolen while he was playing at the park. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
VANDALISM:
1100 block Bakersfield Ln, 3/31 – 4/6 11:00 am. A resident reported that his vehicle was
scratched and damaged by a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1200 block Payne St, 4/6 – 4/7 2:00 pm. Three residents reported that each had a vehicle
vandalized with blue spray paint. The victims all live at separate addresses. The investigation

Charles County, Maryland, Sheriff's Office Incident Reports
ACCIDENTAL INJURY: On April 1 at 10 a.m., CCSO officers responded to the parking lot of a building in the 5900 block of Radio Station Road in La Plata for the report of an accident involving a fire department training SUV and a Maryland Fire Rescue Institute training instructor. A preliminary investigation showed the driver of the SUV, 22, was practicing maneuvers on a cone course when he lost control of the vehicle and struck the MFRI instructor. The victim, 59, was initially treated on the scene and then flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma where he was admitted with critical injuries. The Traffic Operations Unit is investigating.
 
POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: On March 29 at 9:45 p.m., officers were conducting an investigation into a report of drug sales in the parking lot of a gas station in the 4200 block of Crain Highway in White Plains. Officers conducted surveillance and observed three males make a transaction. Upon further investigation and the execution of a search warrant, officers found marijuana and other drug-related evidence. Aldante James Jordan, 21, of Upper Marlboro, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia; Daniel John Alexander, 26, of Pomfret, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance; and Michael Edward Messink, 27, of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. Officer P. Hood is investigating.
 
BURGLARY: Between March 27 – March 29, unknown suspect(s) broke into a carry-out business in the 3300 block of Livingston Road in Indian Head and stole a small amount of cash and several bottles of soda. Officer M. Mellott is investigating.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY:
200 block Hillcrest Dr, 4/1 6:00 pm. A resident reported that she returned home and found an unknown male subject standing in her living room. The man ran past the victim and down the steps, exiting the house through the basement door. It did not appear that anything was stolen from the residence. The only description the victim could provide was that the suspect was a white male in his late 20’s and approximately 6’ tall. The investigation is ongoing.
 
LARCENY:
Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 3/30 10:15 pm – 3/31 12:50 am. A patron reported that the window on his vehicle was broken and his girlfriend’s purse was stolen from the floorboards. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 3/30 9:30 am – 2:45 pm. A student reported that her iPhone was stolen from her backpack or locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
2200 block Dogwood Dr, 3/31 – 4/1 4:00 am. A resident reported that an unknown person rummaged through her glove box and stole her GPS from the center console of her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
100 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 3/31 9:00 pm – 4/1 8:50 am. A resident reported that her daughter’s bicycle was stolen from her back yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
VANDALISM:
Alum Springs Park, 699 Greenbrier Dr, 3/30 5:00 pm – 3/31 8:00 am. An employee reported that the door to the gate shed was broken open and a window was cracked. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
900 block Sunken Rd, 3/30 9:00 pm – 3/31 2:00 pm. A resident reported that the passenger
side mirror was broken off his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
3400 block Fall Hill Ave, 3/30 – 4/1 5:00 pm. A candidate reported that a campaign sign was
pulled out of the ground and broken. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
200 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 3/17 – 4/1 5:30 pm. A resident reported that his kitchen
windows were broken, apparently by BB shot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Jacob Hill, 26, of Stafford was arrested for DUID and possession of schedule III narcotics in
the 200 block of Duke Street.

with first degree rape.
