ARRESTS:
Sharon Adamavage, 29, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Shaunta Rivers, 36, of Stafford was arrested on warrants from Caroline charging her with
misdemeanor bad checks and on warrants from Stafford charging her with felony bad checks.
Chinonso Ibe, 31, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Jeremy Smith, 25, of Bowling Green was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Johnny Valencia, 39, of Locust Grove was arrested on direct indictment for grand larceny.

**ARRESTS**
 
Narcotics Investigation – On January 29th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving marijuana.  As a result of the investigation two search warrants were obtained and executed in the 10200 block of Ginny Wy in Manassas (20110) and 8400 block of Jones St in Manassas (20112).  As a result of the investigation marijuana, firearms and other evidence were recovered.  The following arrests were also made without incident.

Charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and distribution of marijuana

DETECTIVES SEEK ROBBERY SUSPECT’S IDENTITY/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the identity of a robbery suspect and Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest. On Jan. 30 at 12:46 p.m., the victim, an employee of a local business, was walking toward a bank in the 3200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when the suspect approached, assaulted him and grabbed a bank deposit bag the victim was carrying. The suspect fled and the victim called police. Detectives obtained a photo taken from a surveillance camera near the bank. The victim described the suspect as a black male with a light complexion and a well groomed thin moustache, 150 lbs., wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and teal or turquoise colored shoes. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Det. J. Austin at (301) 609-6504. ROBBERY: On Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Smallwood Park and Ride in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. The victim, an 18-year-old male, was walking in the woods near the park and ride when he was approached by a group of males who pulled a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled. Officers canvassed the area and detectives are working on leads. Det. A. Celia is investigating.
OFFICERS TRACK DOWN BURGLARY SUSPECT: On Jan. 29 at 7 a.m., officers responded to the 14500 block of Burnt Store Road in Hughesville for the report of a burglary that occurred overnight.  Investigation showed the suspect broke into a building by forcing open a window and stole $16 in cash. PFC D. Arends noticed footprints in the snow directly under the damaged window. He followed the footprints to a nearby house and made contact with the homeowner. After a brief conversation with the homeowner, PFC Arends learned the suspect was a 19-year-old resident of the house. The suspect admitted to the burglary and turned over the money he stole to the officer who then gave it back to the victim. The investigation is on-going and criminal charges are pending.
OFFICERS FIND CHILDREN IN COLD CAR/ WOMAN CHARGED WITH CHILD NEGLECT: On Jan. 28 at 8:05 p.m., officers responded to the 11200 block of Mall Circle after a citizen called to report the sounds of children crying coming from inside a Cadillac Escalade which was parked outside a department store. The windows of the car were heavily tinted and the witness was not able to see much more. Officers arrived and found two girls, a six-year-old and a three-year-old, inside the car.  Both girls were wearing heavy coats but told officers they were cold. Officers placed the girls in their police cars and noted the temperature was about 16 degrees. Officers obtained the name of the girls’ mother and went inside the mall to search for her. They contacted mall security who made an announcement. The mother came out of a department store and approached officers. She claimed she lost her wallet and was inside the mall looking for it. She said she had only been inside for 10 minutes. Officers noted inconsistencies in her story and checked into the matter further. They subsequently learned the woman had been inside the department store for more than 90 minutes, sitting at a makeup counter having her makeup done. They also located her missing wallet inside her purse. Regina Marie Coleman, 28, was arrested and charged with child neglect. The children were turned over to relatives. Officer J. Squriewell and Sgt. H. Smith investigated.

ROBBERY: On Jan. 27 at 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a residence near Lake Drive in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed a 17-year-old male was walking in the 2400 block of Lake Drive when three males assaulted him and stole his shoes and cell phones. Officers canvassed the area and are working on leads. Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating.

BURGLARY:
600 block Wolfe St, 1/29 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
kicked in the rear door of his apartment and stole various electronic items. The investigation is
ongoing.
LARCENY:
1400 block Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/24 5:00 p.m. – 1/28 11:15 a.m. A foreman reported that an
unknown person stole a generator from a construction trailer. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
VANDALISM:
Thurman Brisben Center, 471 Central Rd, 1/29 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. A visitor reported that an
unknown person damaged a window on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Daniel Huggins, 22, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony embezzlement.
Scott Elder, 36, of Mechanicsville was arrested for possession of schedule I,II narcotics.
Matthew Elder, 29, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Jasmine Fielder, 28, of Milford was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Shania Wong, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Jimmy Thornsberry, 30, of no fixed address was arrested for providing false identification to law
enforcement, possession of schedule III narcotics, and on a warrant from King George charging
him with failure to appear in court

**INCIDENTS**
 
Residential Burglary – On January 28th at 5:56PM, police responded to the 7400 block of Parrish Lane to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 4:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry.  It is believed that entry was made through an unsecure window.  A television, valued around $700, was reported as missing.
 
**ARRESTS**

Indecent Exposure – On January 27th at 10:28PM, police responded to the Denny’s Restaurant located at 13775 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for an indecent exposure. Employees of the establishment reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, exposed himself while seated at one of the tables.  Police encountered the accused, who initially departed from the establishment but returned while police were still on scene.  Police arrested him without incident.

THEFT: Sometime between Dec. 29 to Jan. 21, someone stole parts to an air conditioner at a church in the 8100 block of Annapolis Woods Road in Welcome. PFC. J. Riffle is investigating.
THEFT OF ATV: On Jan. 27, between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., someone broke into an open garage in the 7500 block of Chicamuxen Road in Indian Head and stole a 1993 black Kawasaki Bayou KLF 300 ATV. There were tracks from the ATV in the snow on the center of the driveway but is not known if the ATV was driven or pushed to the road where it may have been driven away or loaded into a vehicle. PFC D. Benthin is investigating.
THEFT: Sometime on January 27, someone stole parts to a heat pump from a vacant house in the 2300 block of Windsor Park Court in Waldorf. CPL. R. Heishman is investigating.
BURGLARY: On Jan. 26 at 10:37 p.m., someone broke into a house in the 3400 block of White Fir Court in Waldorf. The homeowner heard a noise and when she investigated, she observed a male in the stairway. The homeowner yelled and the suspect fled. Officers found the rear door had been forced open. PFC M. Mellott is investigating.

LARCENY:
Maid Brigade, 408 Westwood Office Park, 1/27 7:00 a.m. An employee reported that an
unknown person stole cash from her wallet. The investigation is ongoing.
2100 block Cowan Blvd, 1/26 – 1/27 3:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
opened a parcel that had been delivered to his door and stole the contents of the package. The
items were later discovered in a mail drop box by maintenance personnel. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Alexandra Rose, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 500 block of Sophia Street.

**ARRESTS**


Bank Robbery – On JANUARY 27th at 4:50PM, police responded to the BB&T Bank located at 13414 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery.  Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank, approached the counter, presented a bag and demanded money. The employee placed an undisclosed amount of US Currency in the bag which was taken by the man before fleeing from the bank in an unknown direction. Further investigation and video surveillance obtained from the bank led detectives to the identity of the man who located at his residence and arrested without incident. Investigation continues.

 Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Resisting Arrest |Public Intoxication – On January 26th at 7:56PM, police responded to Guapo’s Restaurant located at 14418 Gideon Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a report of an intoxicated person outside of the establishment.  Officers arrived and located the accused lying on the ground. The accused was under the influence of alcohol and became aggressive toward an officer as he attempted to arrest him. The accused actively resisted arrest which led to a struggle.  The accused was eventually detained without further incident.  No injuries were reported.

Strong Armed Robbery – On January 27th at 3:06PM, police responded to the 4900 block of Karen Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.  The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was approached by an unknown male, later identified as the accused, while playing basketball in the above area. During the encounter, the accused questioned the victim about the contents of his pants pocket.  When the victim refused to identify the contents, the accused advanced toward the victim and grabbed a cell phone contained in the victim’s pocket.  After grabbing the cell phone the accused fled from the area in a vehicle parked nearby.  When the accused departed from the area, the victim returned to his residence and contacted police.  During investigation police were able identify and locate the accused. Once located, the accused was arrested without incident and transported to the juvenile detention center. This incident does not appear to be random.  No injuries were reported.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Residential Burglary – On January 26th at 1:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5300 block of Yorktown Run Ct in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:10PM on January 11th and 8:00PM on January 25th. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence.  Entry is believed to have been made by a previous tenant utilizing a key to a secure door. A package of unknown value was reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On January 24th at 3:35AM, officers responded to the business, Academy Bus, located at 7920 Gainsford Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45AM on January 23rd and 3:35AM on January 24th. Entry appeared to have been made into a garage area of the business. Tool boxes containing miscellaneous tools, valued around $10,000, were reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On January 23rd at 4:00PM, officers responded to the business, Temp Power, located at 12259 Livingston Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.  The owner of the business reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:38PM and 12:45PM on January 18th.  The burglary was captured on a video surveillance system which revealed an unknown man enter the business through an unsecure garage door.  Cables, valued around $6,600, were reported missing.

                White male, between 25 & 40 years of age, 5’11”, 200lbs
                Last seen wearing blue shirt, blue jeans, white glove and a black ski mask
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 26th at 6:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Langstone Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 10:00PM on January 24th and 4:00AM on January 26th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a basement level door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 24th at 4:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Orland Stone Dr on Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 11:00AM and 2:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through the front door which was found damaged.  No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Indecent Liberties – On January 22nd at 3:01PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 7500 block of Gales Ct in Manassas (20109) between April and May of 2013. The investigation revealed that the victim, 4 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion during the time frame above. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 24th.

Theft
On 1/26/14, Deputy Papke arrested Jerome Simmons, 51 of Landover MD and Howard Kirk, 50 of Washington D.C. for two counts of felony Shoplifting and two counts of felony Conspiracy to Commit Shoplifting at the Giant in Harrison's Crossing. 
 
On 1/25/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Maurice Cumberlander, 52 of King George for felony Grand Larceny Shoplifting from the Giant at Harrison's Crossing.
 
On 1/25/14, Deputy Handy arrested George Crenshaw, 45 of Ruther Glen for felony Breaking &Entering and felony Possession of Burglary Tools after he broke into a business in the 5600 block of Southpoint Center Blvd.
 
On 1/25/14, Deputy Papke arrested Joshua Biggs, 21 of Spotsylvania for misdemeanor Shoplifting x3 and misdemeanor Obtaining Money by False Pretenses x3. The arrest stemmed from Mr. Biggs returning stolen merchandise on three separate occasions at the Kohl's in Cosner's Corner.
 
On 1/25/14, Sgt. Carey responded to Wal-Mart, in reference to a larceny in progress.  Michael Washington, 22 of Caroline County was released on a summons for Petit Larceny Shoplifting. Trevon Wilson, 21 of Caroline County was released on a summons for Possession of Marijuana.
 
On 1/21/14, Deputy Myrick arrested Crystal McDermott, 30 of Stafford for open warrants, Identity Fraud, Obstruction of Justice and Possession of Stolen Property. Deputy Myrick also arrested Denver Porter, 22 of Port Royal and Amy Ryder, 22 of Shenandoah for Obstruction of Justice at Motel 6.
 
On 01/21/14, Deputy Moore arrested Scott Steven Pierce, 32 of Spotsylvania for Felony Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 4000 Block of Plank Road. 
 
Assault
On 1/24/14, Deputy Trippett arrested Robert Hayes, 41 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery on Windbreak Dr.
 
On 1/24/14, Deputy Collins arrested Ryan Curtis, 26 Assault, two counts.  
 
On 1/23/14, Deputy Baugh arrested Martyell Plummer, 27 for Malicious Shooting an Occupied Vehicle, 2 Counts, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, 2 Counts and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, 2 counts, in the 11600 block of Brian Dr.
 
On 1/21/14, Detective Cantrell and Deputy Lamont arrested Christopher Hornberger, 31 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery on Stone Crossing Drive.
 
DUI
On 1/25/14, Deputy Morris was patrolling the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and I95, when he observed a vehicle speeding.  He initiated a traffic stop on I95 at the 124.1 and Gregory Webster, 41 of Spotsylvania was subsequently arrested for DUI and Reckless Driving.
 
On 1/20/14, Sergeant Carey arrested Kenneth Snyder, 23 of Spotsylvania for DUI on a traffic stop at Jefferson Davis Highway and Harrison Rd.
 
Narcotics
On 1/26/14, Deputy Jones released Georgia McClung, 19 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Possession of Marijuana at the Food Lion in Thornburg.
 
On 1/25/14, Sgt. Assur arrested Trevor Stevick, 18 of Fredericksburg and Aaron Josselyn, 19 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Sgt. Assur at Plank Rd. and Gordon Rd.
 
On 1/24/14, Sgt. Assur arrested Spencer D'Wayne Samuels, 21 of Spotsylvania and Natasha Marie Cunningham, 19 of Culpeper for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from an officer initiated check of a suspicious vehicle at Keystone Grocery on West Catharpin Rd.
 
On 01/21/14, Deputy Krieger arrested David Bruce Ruffner, 36 of Spotsylvania in the 6000 Block of Old Courthouse Road for an outstanding warrant as well as Possession of Marijuana and Appearing Drunk in Public.
 
 
 
Arrests
On 1/25/14, Deputy Griffith responded to 3300 block of Eagle Dr. in reference to a report of vandalism to the residence. John Gilley, 35 of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Destruction of Property.
On 1/24/14, Deputy Handy arrested Betuel Velazques-Ortiz, 19 of no fixed address for felony Hit & Run, No Operator's License, and No Insurance. The arrest stemmed from an accident on Plank Rd. at Bragg Rd.
On 1/24/14, Deputy Collins arrested Thomas Brownlow IV, 27 for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.  This was result of a DUI investigation on Cranston Ln. 
On 1/21/14, Deputy Boyd arrested Michael Marceau, 35 of Broward County Florida on several charges from Broward FL after a tip. A fugitive warrant was obtained and Mr. Marceau was held without bail for full extradition.

Five Guys, 1661 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/15 12:50 a.m. Police responded for an alarm activation

that an unknown person stole his bicycle from the rack outside the parking garage. No suspects

unknown person smashed a window on her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Augustine Avenue.

ATV CRASH: On Jan. 21 at 7 p.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of Penns Hill Road in La Plata for the report of a crash involving an ATV and a pick-up truck. A preliminary investigation showed the driver of the ATV was operating the vehicle on Penns Hill Road when he was struck by a pick-up truck that had just rounded a curve. The ATV did not have any lights on and was not visible to the driver of the truck. The operator of the ATV, 21, of La Plata, was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the truck stayed on the scene and he was not injured. PFC P. Hood is investigating.

Residential Burglary Series *ARREST – On January 17th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to connect Sylvester DAWSON to a series of burglaries which occurred on Horizon Ct and Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) since October of 2013. In total, the accused has been charged in connection to seven burglaries in that area. The accused was recently arrested on January 15th (incident and arrest previously released) after a burglary in progress was reported at a residence on Horizon Ct. Following the investigation, the accused was charged.

Residential Burglary | Possession of Burglarious Tools [Previously Released] On January 15th at 2:16AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the resident of the apartment was awoken by a pet alerting to a sound at one of the windows. The resident contacted police who arrived at the above location to find the accused attempting to gain entry to the residence through a secured window.  The accused was taken into custody by police after a brief foot pursuit.  No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported as missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On January 14th at 5:31PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The resident of the apartment reported to police that between 4:00PM on January 13th and 4:30PM on January 14th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through window. The window was secure and no entry was made into the residence. No property was reported missing.
 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 13th at 7:23AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a reported burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she awoke to a noise coming from another area of the apartment. Upon checking the apartment, she observed an unknown man in her kitchen. The resident immediately went back to her bedroom and contacted police. The suspect fled prior to police arriving at the residence. Officers set up a perimeter around the neighbor and a police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. A laptop and wallet, total value around $440, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 5th at 3:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM and 2:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Laptop and network routers, total value around $860, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 2nd at 3:12AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she was sleeping in her bedroom when she awoke to an unknown man going through her dresser. Once discovered, the man fled on foot. Entry appeared to have been made into the home through a window. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Miscellaneous items from the resident’s purse were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On December 17th at 4:51PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:10AM and 6:15PM on December 16th. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecure window.  Jewelry, a camera and miscellaneous electronics, valued around $920, were reported as missing.
 
Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On October 16th at 8:57PM, officers responded to the report of a burglary that occurred between October 11th and October 13th in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191).  The reporting person stated that a work laptop was missing from the residence.  The value of the missing computer is unknown.  There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.
 

 
Residential Burglary – On January 22nd at 6:10PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4500 block of Daisy Reid Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM on November 27th and 5:00PM on December 23rd. There were no signs of forced entry.  It is believed that entry was made by an unknown person(s) who had key access to the apartment.  Jewelry, valued around $875, was reported as missing.

Felony Child Neglect – On January 22nd at 8:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11800 block of Frank Haskell Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a child neglect call. The victim, a 4 year old boy, called 911 and advised that he needed assistance because he was hungry. Officers arrived at the residence and located to the child who was found to be home alone. Officers were eventually able to contact the mother of the victim, identified as the accused. The investigation revealed that the accused had left the victim alone inside the residence for approximately two hours. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery | Destruction of Property – On January 21st at 11:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Mariner Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary which was reported to have occurred on January 18th around 12:30AM. The victim, a 57 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was approached by two unknown men while walking her dog outside of her residence.  During the encounter, the men asked the victim a question after which the victim returned to her residence.  Once inside, the victim heard her front door being kicked open and then saw the two men enter the residence.  Once inside the men encountered a second victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, and began to assault him.  The encounter ended when another occupant of the residence separated the men. The unknown men were escorted outside and fled the area on foot.  Following the investigation, one of the men was identified as the accused, a known acquaintance of the second victim. After identified, the accused was located by police at a nearby residence and was subsequently arrested without further incident.  The identity of the second male remains unknown. This appears to have occurred as a result of an ongoing dispute between the accused and the second victim.  No injuries were reported.

Residential Burglary *ARREST – On January 6th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit located and arrested the suspect involved in the burglary which was reported in the 10600 block of Schaeffer Ln in Nokesville on December 20th. The accused was identified after he allegedly pawned property which was reported stolen during the incident. The accused was arrested at his residence on Schaeffer Ln without incident.

Armed Robbery – On January 6th at 2:43PM, officers responded to the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements to meet an unknown man in the above area to complete a sales transaction of a gaming console that originated on-line. The victim told police the man presented him with fake US Currency and displayed a gun when the victim asked about the currency. The man then departed from the area in a vehicle driven by a second unknown male. The second man remained in the vehicle during the transaction. No injuries were reported.

Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Central Park Blvd, 1/22 3:20 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. A patron reported that
an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse. The victim later found
her purse inside a dumpster, but a quantity of cash was missing from it. No suspects or witnesses
at this time.
Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 1/22 7:00 p.m. – 9:20 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown
person broke a window on his vehicle and stole sunglasses and a phone charger from inside it.

FRAUD:
Wells Fargo Bank, 325 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/21 4:20 p.m. An employee reported that a
female subject attempted to cash a fraudulent check but left the scene prior to police arrival. The
suspect was described as a small-framed black female approximately 20 years old who left the
area in a vehicle with New York license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 17th at 7:28PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18200 block of Graham Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and strangled her. Another resident of the home was able to intervene and separate the accused from the victim. The victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Indecent Exposure – On January 16th at 8:05AM, officers responded to Palm Beach Tan located at 5071 Wellington Rd in Manassas (20155) to investigate a report of an indecent exposure.  An employee of the business reported to police that she observed an unknown man expose himself through a window while he was standing outside of the business.  After exposing himself the man fled from the area prior to police arrival.  The victim had no contact with the man during the incident.

Commercial Burglary– On January 16th at 9:36AM, officers responded to the Domino’s Corporate Office located at 7045 Gateway Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on January 15th and 9:25AM on January 16th when an unknown person(s) broke the glass on the front door and entered the business. Three televisions, valued around $1,400, were reported as missing.

Rape | Strangulation – On January 20th at 10:23AM, police responded to the 15300 block of Inlet Pl in Dumfries (22025) for a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that on January 19th she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the victim was sexually assaulted and strangled by the accused. Following the assault, the accused took the victim’s cell phone. The victim contacted police when the cell phone was returned the next day. The accused was on scene when police arrived at the above location and was arrested without incident.

Rape | Forcible Sodomy – On January 20th at 4:46PM, police responded to the 14000 block of Fallbrook Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a sexual assault. The investigation revealed two victims, a 7 year old female juvenile and a 10 year old male juvenile, both of Woodbridge, were sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a family member identified as the accused.  Following the investigation the accused was arrested without incident and transported to the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.

Burglary | Destruction of Property – On January 17th at 10:43PM, police responded to the 8000 block of Lacy Dr in Manassas (20109) for a domestic disturbance.  The victim, a 35 year old woman of Manassas, contacted police when her estranged boyfriend, later identified as the accused, attempted to gain entry to her apartment by kicking open the front door.  The accused was unable to gain entry and ultimately fled from the scene prior to police arrival.  The accused was later located by police and arrested without incident.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
1200 block Townsend Blvd, 1/19 9:50 p.m. An officer responded to Townsend Square
Apartments for a reported disturbance between roommates. While the officer was speaking to
the male party involved, the female roommate repeatedly advanced upon the officer and at one
point she stepped in front of the officer and tried to push him out of the way with her elbow.
When the officer attempted to take the female into custody, she continued to resist and bit the
officer in the hand before being subdued by the arrival of a second patrol unit. Shenita Brower,
36, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony assault on a law enforcement officer and
incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The officer received stitches and
treatment for a broken hand at Mary Washington Hospital.

2300 block Cowan Blvd, 1/19 9:00 p.m. Police responded to the Commons at Cowan Boulevard
for a report of a fight and found a 22-year-old male in the parking lot with a broken tooth and
possible broken jaw. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital
for treatment of his injuries. Witnesses reported that the victim and assailant were inside an
apartment with several other adults and children when an argument broke out and turned
physical. The other party involved in the fight was still on the scene when police arrived.
Reginald Wester, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felonious assault and incarcerated at the
Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The investigation is ongoing.
7-Eleven, 1613 Dixon St, 1/17 1:15 p.m. Police responded for reports of a fight and found a 26-
year-old city resident with multiple facial injuries. The victim was transported by ambulance to
Mary Washington Hospital for treatment. The victim reported that a group of four or five males
approached him while he was inside the store and then surrounded him just outside the door to
the business and punched him repeatedly in the face and head. It is unknown at this time what
prompted the assault. A warrant has been obtained against Deontay Washington, 21, of
Fredericksburg charging him with malicious wounding by mob. Washington had not been
arrested by the time of this report. The investigation is ongoing to determine the identities of the
other individuals involved in the assault.

an unknown person stole her wallet from her purse while the purse was hanging on the back of
her chair. The offender later tried to use the victim’s credit cards at area stores. The

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 1/17 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A customer reported that an
unknown person stole tools and other items from his unlocked vehicle in the parking lot. No

On 1/17/14, 1st Sgt Pittman arrested Ms. Brittany Levins, 25 of Spotsylvania on 10 outstanding felony Theft warrants obtained by Deputy Basil on an earlier offense. 
 
On 01/16/14, Deputy Boone released on a summons, Khalid Kahn, 60 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting in the 5000 Block of Plank Road.
On 1/15/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Jonathan Fitterer, 18 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting from the Giant at Harrison's Crossing.  Mr. Fitterer was released on a summons.
 
On 1/14/14, Sergeant Belcher released Ashley Holland, 26 of Spotsylvania and Christopher Holland, 29 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
 
On 1/14/14, Sergeant Belcher arrested Miriam Kurth, 24 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting from Macy's at the Spotsylvania Towne Center. 
 
On 01/14/14, Deputy Medina responded to Macy's for the report of a shoplifter. Amia Johnson, 18 of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with Felony Shoplifting
 
Assault
On 01/18/14, Deputy Kcraget arrested Jesus Obitz for Felony Violation of a Protective Order in the 10800 block of Holleybrooke Drive.
 
On 1/17/14, Deputy Fuller responded to the area of Castlebridge Apartments for a report of a Protective Order Violation.  As units arrived the suspect left the area and Deputy Fuller got behind the vehicle and stopped it at the Ukrops on Salem Church Road.  The suspect was identified as Bryan Delano, 35 of Spotsylvania.  Delano was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Violation of Protective Order, and Resisting Arrest. 
 
On 1/15/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested Davey Ewing, 45 for Assault and Trespassing for an earlier incident on Mansfield Street. 
On 01/15/14, Deputy Buccola and Deputy Dobson arrested Christopher L. Sefchick, 38 of Spotsylvania in the 10000 block of Spotsylvania Avenue for Felony Eluding and Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer.  A Warrant was also obtained against Christopher for Petit Larceny Shoplifting which occurred at Auto Zone in the 4000 block of Mine Road. 
DUI
On 1/20/14, Sergeant Carey arrested Kenneth Snyder, 23 of Spotsylvania for DUI on a traffic stop Jefferson Davis Highway and Harrison Rd.
 
Narcotics
On 1/17/14, Deputy Tittle responded to the Spotsylvania Towne Center for a disturbance with mall security.  Deputy Tittle located John Vita, 22 of Spotsylvania trying to hide behind cars in the parking lot.  John was detained, searched and later released on a summons for Possession of Marijuana for the smoking device found on his person.
 
On 1/15/14, Deputy Kelly arrested Cody Christsenson, 20 of Spotsylvania and Patrick Harder, 20 for Possession of Marijuana in the area of Running Cedar Ln.    
 
On 1/14/14, Deputy Fuller arrested Timothy Wrobel, 34 of Stafford for Uttering, Possession of a Schedule III narcotic and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at CVS.

On 01/14/14, Deputy Ridings and Deputy Davies responded to the Tidewater Trail 7-11 to attempt to locate fugitive, David Garnett, 51 of Spotsylvania.  He was located on Benchmark Rd. and taken into custody.
 
On 01/14/14, Deputy Spillman responded to 10700 block of Wakeman Dr. for the report of several small children climbing out of a second window and onto a roof.  Nancy Gillikin, 27 of Spotsylvania and Michael Gillikin, 26 of Spotsylvania were each arrested and charged with four counts of Felony Child Neglect.

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery *ARRESTS – On January 18th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify and arrest the two suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 10400 block of Stonington Ln in Manassas on January 16th. Both suspects are juveniles and were arrested without incident.

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On January 16th at 12:54AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 10400 block of Stonington Ln in Manassas (20109) around 10:39PM on January 15th. The victim, a 17 year old male of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by two known male acquaintances.  During the encounter, the males punched the victim in his face, searched his pockets, and kicked his head after he fell to the ground.  Both males fled the scene when the encounter was interrupted by a family member of the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital where police were contacted. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. This incident does not appear to be random.
               

Armed Robbery – On January 17th at 9:12PM, officers responded to the 4200 block of Seeton Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by a vehicle with three unknown male occupants. The men asked to use the victim’s phone and when the victim refused, one of the men grabbed the phone. The victim attempted to retrieve his phone, at which point, the man displayed a knife and threatened him. The men fled the area in the vehicle prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported. The victim was only able to describe the suspect as black males.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On January 20th at 2:21AM, officers responded to 90 Degrees Bar and Restaurant located at 8509 Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived and located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All of the victims, two men and two women, were transported to area hospitals. Three of the victims have been treated and released. The remaining victim, a woman, is still being hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation into the shooting revealed that the suspect, later identified as the accused, had been removed from the bar by security shortly after 2:00AM. Once outside, the accused got into his vehicle and drove by the front of the establishment where he opened fire, striking the victims. Officers arrived at the scene quickly and were able to broadcast a description of the accused and the vehicle to adjoining agencies. A Manassas City Police officer located the vehicle and detained the suspect following a traffic stop. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strong Armed Robbery | Grand Larceny – On January 17th at 6:45AM, officers responded to the Horner Commuter Lot located at 2250 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking through the parking lot when she was approached by an unknown vehicle occupied by a male driver. Once close, the driver grabbed the victim’s purse which was hanging around her shoulder. The victim was dragged a short distance before the purse became free. The driver immediately fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officers then responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) around 9:01AM to investigate a second robbery. The victim in that incident, 37 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. The man knocked her to the ground before taking her purse and getting into a vehicle matching the description of the robbery earlier in the day. The victim sustained minor injuries. Officers then responded to Soul Food Restaurant located at 13325 Woodbridge St in Woodbridge (22191) around 3:28PM to investigate a larceny. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and approached the counter. Once the employee turned away, the man grabbed the cash register and fled the store. The man was seen getting into a vehicle matching that of both robberies and fled the area. Responding officers located the vehicle on Jefferson Davis Hwy near the Prince William Pkwy. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the driver, identified as the accused, was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery – On January 19th at 10:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy (22191) to investigate a burglary. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, forced his way into her residence through the front door and assaulted her. The victim attempted to call police, at which point, the accused grabbed the phone. After the assault, the accused fled the residence. A police K-9 was used to search for the accused.  The accused turned himself into police on January 20th.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2014
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
200 block Greystone Ct, 1/16 6:20 p.m. A 22-year-old man reported that he was outside his
apartment building when he was approached by three males who started taunting him verbally.
One of the unknown subjects reportedly pointed a gun at the victim, then started going through
his pockets in an attempt to steal from him. After realizing the victim didn’t have any cash, one
of the suspects stabbed the victim in the back before all three fled from the scene. The victim
was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which
included a partially collapsed lung. The three suspects were described as black males; two were
wearing hoodies and the one armed with a gun was reportedly wearing a mask. The
investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY:
1000 block Black Oak Ct, 12/15 – 1/16 1:30 p.m. A neighbor reported seeing a man hanging
around on the porch of an unoccupied home and while the suspicious subject was not there when
police arrived, officers discovered evidence that someone had tried to break in through the
basement doors and a window. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
Lowes, 1361 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/16 4:50 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. A customer reported that an
unknown person stole a quantity of scrap metal from the back of his truck. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
Walker Grant Middle School, 1 Learning Ln, 1/16 4:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. An employee reported
that an unknown person stole his cell phone from his office desk. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
VANDALISM:
Algoma Hardwoods, 218 Central Rd, 1/16 – 1/17 6:00 p.m. An employee reported that an
unknown person shattered the windshield on a company truck. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
DUI ARRESTS:

Abduction | Residential Burglary *ARREST – Through an extensive investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit were able to determine that three males were involved in the burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3800 block of Fortuna Ct in Woodbridge on November 5th. On January 16th, detectives were able to locate and arrest one of the three men involved. The two other men involved remain unidentified. The investigation continues.

Abduction | Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On November 5th at 10:43PM, police responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Fortuna Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 14 year old boy of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside his residence when someone knocked on the door. Upon answering, two men forcibly entered the home. Once inside, the men tied up the victim and put him in a bathroom. The men then took multiple small electronics and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area, possibly in a vehicle. Detectives from the Robbery Unit are investigating this incident which, at this time, is not believed to be random. The investigation continues.
 
Aggravated Sexual Battery | Abduction | Rape – On January 16th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 13500 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) between 12:00AM and 1:00AM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 13 year old girl of Woodbridge, was walking in the area above with two known male acquaintances when the victim and one of the males, the accused, got into a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim on more than one occasion. The second male attempted to intervene during the assaults. Following the investigation, detectives obtained charges against the accused.

Narcotics Investigation – On January 16th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a two month long narcotics investigation involving the selling of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 9088 McClellan Commons (20110). During the search, suspected cocaine and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 15th at 10:45AM, officers responded to the 17300 block of Nugent Ln in Dumfries (22026) for an initial report of a shooting into an occupied dwelling.  The homeowner reported to police that she and a visitor heard a loud sound believed to be a gunshot outside of the residence.  After hearing the sound, the homeowner reported that an unknown male approached the front door, rang the doorbell and then departed the area on foot.  When police arrived, they found a window on a door leading to the residence had been shattered by what appeared to be a rock. No shooting took place. After police checked the area they departed, but were called to return back to the same residence at 11:47AM when the homeowner was alerted by the sound of an unknown person(s) outside of the residence.  When police returned they again found a broken window on a door leading to residence; however, it did not appear that entry had been made. No injuries were reported and no items were reported as missing.
                Suspect Description:
                Black male, unknown age, 6’1”, 160lbs with a thin build, black hair, and brown eyes
                Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes
 

Residential Burglary – On January 15th at 8:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12400 block of Eden Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.  A resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30AM and 5:30PM. Entry appeared to have been made by breaking a window to the residence. Miscellaneous jewelry and an undisclosed amount of US Currency, valued around $4,100, were reported as missing.
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Attempted Armed Robbery – On January 15th at 7:35PM, officers responded to the 18000 block of Triangle Shopping Plz in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a stabbing. Officers arrived in the area and located two men, identified as the two accused suspects below. One of the men, Deontae JONES, was suffering from a stab wound to the leg. While investigating this incident, a third man, identified as the victim – a 31 year old man of Woodbridge, walked into an area hospital with a stab wound to the arm related to the same incident. The investigation revealed that the victim was inside the McDonalds in the above area when he was approached by the other two men. All parties are known to one another. During the encounter, JONES displayed a knife and swung it towards the victim, cutting him in the arm. The victim fled the McDonalds as both suspects chased him. While running, JONES continued to swing the knife and inadvertently stabbed himself in the leg. The victim was able to get away from the suspects. After stabbing himself, JONES and the other suspect, Daryl WILSON, called 911. All injuries sustained were non-life threatening. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Residential Burglary – On January 15th at 12:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Torrence Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress.  The investigation revealed a citizen observed two unknown males, later identified as the accused suspects below, entering a neighbor’s residence through a basement window.  Officers arrived on scene quickly while the men were still inside the home. Both men were arrested without incident as they attempted to exit the residence through the front door. The homeowner was not at the residence at the time of the incident.  No property was reported as missing.

1000 block Heritage Park, 1/15 11:00 p.m. A resident reported that she saw a man looking in to
her apartment through the kitchen window. The suspect was described as a middle aged black
male with a chubby face and wearing a gray stocking cap. The suspect left the scene prior to
police arrival. No known suspects at this time.
LARCENY:
7-Eleven, 1240 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/8 – 1/12 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown
person stole his bicycle from where he left it unsecured beside the business. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 1/12 2:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. A visitor reported
that an unknown person stole her bag containing her laptop computer and other personal items
from the waiting area outside the ICU. The investigation is ongoing.
1000 block Stafford Ave, 1/3 – 1/04 4:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole
her jewelry box while she was moving in to her house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
WaWa, 1140 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/16 2:45 a.m. An employee reported that two black males
and a black female entered the store together. While the two males distracted the employee at
the counter, the female grabbed an 18-pack of beer from the cooler and all three subjects fled

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On January 14th at 9:52PM, officers responded to the area of Point Pleasant Ln and Naples Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted robbery.  The victim, a 24 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was approached by two unknown males while walking in the above area.  One of the men punched the victim in the face and then demanded the victim’s bag.  After the bag was checked it was returned to the victim who was then punched in the head by the second man. Both men fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported.

Residential Burglary – On January 14th at 1:59PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14500 block of Piccolo Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 1:50PM.  Entry was made into the residence through a window which was broken out.  A television, several computers, and miscellaneous jewelry, total value around $3,450, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 14th at 5:31PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The resident of the apartment reported to police that between 4:00PM on January 13th and 4:30PM on January 14th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a window. The window was secure and no entry was made into the residence. No property was reported missing.

Burglary | Possession of Burglarious Tools – On January 15th at 2:16AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the resident of the apartment was awoken by a pet alerting to a sound at one of the windows. The resident contacted police who arrived at the above location to find the accused attempting to gain entry to the residence through a secured window.  The accused was taken into custody by police after a brief foot pursuit.  No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported as missing.

Narcotics Investigation – On December 5th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant in the 11000 block of Koman Cir in Manassas (20109).  During the search, marijuana was located and the accused was arrested without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

LARCENY:
VRE Lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 1/13 – 1/14 12:45 a.m. An officer patrolling in the area
discovered a vehicle that was missing its license plates and confirmed with the owner by phone
that the plates must have been stolen. When the victim returned from his trip later in the day, the
license plates had been replaced back on the car. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Five Below, 1386 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 1/14 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. An employee reported that
an unknown person stole her purse from her locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Lenetta Gilbert, 45, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication after being interdicted.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO RECOVERY OF ILLEGAL PILLS: On Jan. 10 at 1:46 a.m., Officer N. Garner initiated a traffic stop on Wharf Road near Hawthorne Road in La Plata after spotting a car with expired tags. PFC K. Burger assisted. While PFC Burger was speaking with a passenger, he observed a large plastic cylinder of suspected marijuana. Further investigation led to the discovery of 164 suspected Oxycodone pills, 2 suspected Oxycontin pills and 11 unknown white pills along with a digital scale and drug wrapping papers. The pills have a street value of about $5,000. The marijuana recovered was approximately 1.65 ounces with a street value of about $500. Christopher Wayne Regalia, 23, of Bryans Road; Kalin Lamor Barbour, 22, of Bryans Road and Michael Ryan Heckman, 21, of Indian Head, were charged with possession of illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
THEFT: On Jan. 9 at 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Mt. Victoria Road in Newburg after a witness called to report a car at a vacant house. When officers arrived, they learned the witness actually saw the car about an hour prior to calling police. Officers canvassed the house and found someone broke in and stole piping. PFC J.L. Clagett is investigating.
OFFICERS APPREHEND THEFT SUSPECTS: On Jan. 8 at 1:42 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the report of a theft that just occurred at a grocery store. Officer J. Micklus and PFC T. Yates arrived and obtained a description of the suspects and their vehicle. PFC Yates canvassed the area and located the suspect’s car at a nearby grocery store in Prince George’s County. Upon approaching the car, PFC Yates observed Arthur West Carroll, Sr., 88, of Suitland in the driver’s seat. He also saw numerous grocery items inside the car. As PFC Yates was obtaining information from Carroll, he observed Trichita Lavenig Gilbert, 38 and Ronald Andre Carter, 52, both of Washington D.C. exit the grocery store with a cart full of stolen items. They were apprehended without incident. Then, a fourth suspect, Gerald Edmondson, 54, of Capital Heights exited the store with stolen goods but he fled after seeing officers at the car. PFC S. Bryant, who was at the car and assisting, apprehended Edmondson and recovered the stolen merchandise. All four suspects were charged with theft. Carter and Carroll had outstanding summonses for previous thefts in Charles County. Carter had an open warrant from Prince George’s County and Gilbert had an outstanding warrant from Hagerstown. In all, officers recovered about $650 worth of items stolen from the grocery store in Bryans Road and about $1,000 in stolen goods from the store in Prince George’s County.
ROBBERY: On Jan. 8 at 3:35 p.m., a woman said she was walking on a foot trail in the 3100 block of Knolewater Court in Waldorf when  a male approached her, pushed her to the ground and stole her cell phone. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.
THEFT SUSPECTS APPREHENDED: On Jan. 8 at 8:26 a.m., officers responded to Greenwood Place in Indian Head for the report of a theft in progress. A homeowner said a man and a woman drove up to his yard and loaded his ATV into the back of a minivan and fled after being detected. PFC T. Yates observed the van near Hawthorne Road and saw the ATV in the rear, hanging halfway out of the door. PFC Yates initiated a traffic stop and approached the driver who initially provided a false name. A computer check revealed the driver’s true identity as James Earl Rohme, 35, of Bryans Road. A records check revealed he was wanted for a theft. In addition, a license check revealed he was driving on a revoked license and it appeared he was intoxicated.  The woman, Gloria Lynn Adams, 36, of Leonardtown was in possession of illegal prescription medication. The couple’s two-year-old child, who was in the back seat, was placed with child protective services. Rohme and Adams were charged with burglary and theft.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting *ARRESTS – On January 13th, the accused suspect involved in the shooting investigation which occurred in the 10100 block of Shiloh Ct in Manassas on January 1st turned himself into police without incident.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting [Previously Released] On January 1st at 2:14AM, officers responded to the 10100 block of Shiloh Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim, a 31 year old man of Manassas, on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the victim and a known male acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation inside a home in the above area. The argument proceeded outside of the residence and escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a shotgun and shot the victim in the leg. Following the shooting, the suspect left the area. A witness reported to police that the suspect was last seen getting into a 4-door, silver Honda and fleeing the area. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful. This incident was not random.
               

 
Malicious Wounding *ARRESTS – On January 13th, detectives from the Robbery Unit made multiple arrests in regard to the stabbing investigation which occurred on January 9th. The investigation revealed that the offense took place in the 3200 block of Wyndale Ct in Woodbridge (22192). The investigation further revealed that the accused, Paul AZRE, had made arrangements to meet with an unknown female in the above area to conduct a transaction. While walking to the area, AZRE encountered an unknown male, later identified as the victim, Samuel HESSENAUER. At that point, the victim displayed what was believed to be a handgun and attempted to rob AZRE. This encounter led to a physical altercation between the two men. During the altercation, AZRE pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. Detectives were further able to identify known acquaintances of the victim who were determined to have been involved in the robbery. Following the investigation, all parties were arrested in connection to their involvement in this case.

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] On January 9th at 11:48PM, officers responded to investigate a stabbing which was reported to have occurred at an unknown location in Woodbridge. The victim, a 19 year old man of Haymarket, reported to police that he and two of his friends arranged to meet another acquaintance at a location in Woodbridge. Once there, the acquaintance was accompanied by another male suspect. During the encounter, the victim was stabbed in the upper body. The victim’s friends drove him to an area hospital where police were contacted. The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening. This incident is not random and the investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On January 13th at 7:23AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a reported burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she awoke to a noise coming from another area of the apartment. Upon checking the apartment, she observed an unknown man in her kitchen. The resident immediately went back to her bedroom and contacted police. The suspect fled prior to police arriving at the residence. Officers set up a perimeter around the neighbor and a police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. A laptop and wallet, total value around $440, were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 13th at 10:47AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4600 block of Prather Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 12:03AM, she was asleep and awoke to a noise coming from another area of the home. Later that morning, she observed pry marks on a rear door and called police. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Indecent Liberties –On January 9th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7700 block of Black Forest Ct in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14 year old girl of Gainesville, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion between October and December of 2013. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 13th without incident.

Abduction with Intent to Defile | Attempted Rape | Aggravated Sexual Battery – On January 12th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit and Fairfax County Police responded to investigate an abduction and sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in Fairfax County and at an address in the 8000 block of Ashland Ave in Manassas (20109) on the evening of January 11th. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 17 year old girl of Falls Church, was abducted from her residence in Fairfax County by the accused, a known acquaintance. The accused then drove the victim to his address on Ashland Ave where he forced her inside and sexually assaulted her. Once the accused fell asleep, the victim was able to flee the residence and contact police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 13th without incident.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Burglary while Armed – On January 13th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to investigate a stabbing which was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Watson Dr in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that accused, a known acquaintance, approached her as she was nearing her residence in the above area. The victim and accused then got into a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the victim attempted to enter her residence, at which point, the accused forced his way inside and stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim was taken to an area hospital where police were called. The victim sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Malicious Wounding | Petit Larceny – On January 12th at 5:56PM, officers responded to the Marshalls at Potomac Mills Mall located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault and larceny. The victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was with the store’s loss prevention and had observed an unknown woman enter the store and steal merchandise. The victim confronted the woman in the parking lot. During the encounter, the victim attempted to retrieve the stolen merchandise which led to a struggle. At that point, the woman pulled away from the victim and bit his hand. The woman was able to get in a vehicle and flee the area. Before doing so, she dropped the property taken from the store. All merchandise reported missing was recovered and minor injuries were reported. Officers were able to identify the woman as the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Assault and Battery –On January 11th at 11:51PM, officers responded to the Down Under Bar located at 301 Mill St in Occoquan (22125) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that an employee, a 39 year old woman of Stafford, and another person, a 59 year old man of Woodbridge, attempted to remove two customers, identified as the accused suspects below, from the establishment. During the encounter, one of the suspects, Shamun MAHMUD, displayed, what the male victim believed was a knife, and attempted to stab him. At the same time the second suspect, Christina WILLUT, assaulted the female victim, striking her in the face. Minor injuries were reported. Upon further investigation, the knife the male suspect had was determined to have actually been a key. Following the investigation, both accused suspects were arrested without further incident.

300 block Stonewall Dr, 1/12 – 1/13 8:00 a.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that an
unknown person stole her purse out of her son’s unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 1/13 5:00 p.m. An officer patrolling in the area discovered a
vehicle with a shattered rear window and the owner later confirmed that her wallet and other
items of value had been stolen from the car. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
Oak Hill Cemetery, 1902 William St, 1/10 – 1/13 7:30 a.m. A grounds supervisor reported that
an unknown person damaged the windshields and tires of three vehicles. The investigation is
ongoing.
Eagle Village, 1241 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/10 – 1/13 10:00 a.m. A site manager reported that
an unknown person damaged a piece of machinery at the construction site. The investigation is
ongoing.
Lucky Line Motors, 400 Lansdowne Rd, 1/12 – 1/13 7:00 a.m. The manager reported that an
unknown person broke out the windows on a rollback wrecker. The investigation is ongoing.

Child Pornography Investigation *ADDITIONAL CHARGES – On January 10th, members of the Northern Virginia-DC Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force obtained additional warrants in regard to the ongoing investigation into child pornography involving the accused. During a forensics examination of a phone belonging to the accused, a total of 25 images of child pornography were recovered. Following the investigation, the additional warrants were served on the accused at the Adult Detention Center.

                Charged with 25 counts possession of child pornography

Child Pornography [Previously Released] On September 4th, members of the Northern Virginia-DC Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force continued an investigation into child pornography with the execution of a search warrant at 74 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22026). The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip in regard to online communication involving the accused and child pornography.  The investigation revealed that the accused was in possession of child pornography via a social media account. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. The investigation continues.
               

 
Crash – Fatality – On January 9th, the driver of the 2013 Nissan Sentra involved in the serious crash which occurred in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Mt. Pleasant Drive in Woodbridge on January 7th died at an area hospital. Investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit are still working to determine the cause of the crash. The investigation continues.

The driver of the 2013 Nissan Sentra was identified as Alan Jay BERNSTEIN, 63 of Sanford, FL
 
                The driver of the 1998 Honda Accord was identified as a 23 year old man of Woodbridge 
 
Serious Crash [Previously Released] On January 7th at 6:49PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Mt. Pleasant Drive in Woodbridge (22191) for a crash.  The investigation revealed the driver of a 2013 Nissan Sentra was southbound on Jefferson Davis Highway at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Drive in the left turn lane.  The driver turned into the travel path of a 1998 Honda Accord travelling northbound on Jefferson Davis Highway.  The driver of the Honda Accord was not able to avoid a collision and struck the Nissan Sentra on passenger’s side of the vehicle.  The driver of the Nissan Sentra was ground transported to an area hospital.  The driver of the Honda Accord sustained minor injuries.  Investigation continues.

Armed Robbery – On January 10th at 7:20PM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. Once there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded Oxycodone. The man took the medication and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

                White male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’10”, 180lbs with a thin build and goatee
                Last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and faded pants
 

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On January 11th at 12:56AM, officers responded to the McDonalds located at 10730 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 49 year old man of Centreville, reported to police that he was inside the restaurant when he got up to use the restroom. Upon returning to his table, he observed an unknown man attempt to walk away with his laptop computer. The victim confronted the man, who was with a group of other males, and a physical altercation ensued. One of the men held the victim down, while another assaulted him. An employee heard the commotion and contacted police. The group dispersed prior to police arrival in two separate red sedans. Minor injuries were reported.

                White male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’8”, 160lbs with a medium build [assailant]

Assault by Mob – On January 11th at 2:08AM, officers responded to Brittany’s Restaurant and Sports Bar located at 12449 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault.  The victim, a 31 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal argument with four unknown men, while inside the establishment.  The encounter continued out to the parking lot where the victim was allegedly assaulted by the group. The men fled from the area prior to police arrival.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  The victim did not provide descriptions of the suspects to police.
 
Residential Burglary – On January 10th at 7:31AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6300 block of Cullen Pl in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on January 8th and 8:00AM on January 9th. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured basement window. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 11th at 2:01PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The resident of the apartment reported to police that between 9:00AM and 12:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a secured door.  It is believed the door was unlocked with a key and pushed opened however no entry was made into the apartment and no items were reported as missing.

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On January 12th at 7:00PM, officers responded to the Global Foods located at 10320 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 46 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was an employee of the store and was collecting shopping carts in the parking lot when he was approached by three unknown man. The men demanded the victim’s property and money and when he refused, one of the men assaulted him. Following the assault, the men dispersed and fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Officers were in the area at the time and were able to quickly apprehend one of the suspects, identified as the accused. The remaining two suspects were able to get away. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

On 1/12/14, Deputy Papke arrested Mr. Robert Kinney, 19 of Spotsylvania for Grand Larceny-shoplifting from Belk.
 
On 1/12/13, Deputy Trippett arrested Ms. Miranda Montgomery, 18 of Spotsylvania and Ms. Joanna Capra, 18 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting from Wal-Mart.  Both were released on a summons.
 
On 1/12/14, Deputy Handy arrested Mr. Rodney Jones, 43 of Spotsylvania for felony Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and an outstanding Capias for a probation violation from VA Beach.
 
On 1/12/14, Deputy Harney arrested Eileen Fink, 53 of Spotsylvania in the 5000 Block of Plank Road for Felony Shoplifting. 
 
On 01/12/14, Deputy Buccola released Taunya Marie Holstein, 34 from Locust Grove on a summons in the 5000 Block of Plank Road for Shoplifting. 
 
On 1/11/14, Deputy Boyd arrested Mr. Shayne Ellett, 24 of Woodford for Felony Larceny-Shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
On 1/8/14, Sgt. Belcher released Casey Johnson, 26 of King George on a summons for Petit Larceny-Shoplifting from Macy's.  
On 1/7/14, Deputy Wahl released Zachary Mickens, 21 from Spotsylvania and Naheem Fox, 21 from Fredericksburg on summons for Shoplifting at Belk.

MONDAY, JANUARY 13, 2014
LARCENY:
James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 1/10 9:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. A student
reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone from a table in the cafeteria. No suspects
or witnesses at this time.
Aladin’s, 2052 Plank Rd, 1/11 1:00 a.m. A patron reported that an unknown person stole her
iPhone from her table. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Subway, 525 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/10 – 1/11 12:00 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown
person stole a card case containing her credit cards from her purse. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
VRE Lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 1/10 -1/11 7:00 p.m. A commuter reported that an unknown
person stole the license plates from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
Kentucky Fried Chicken, 302 Hanson Ave, 1/12 1:30 p.m. A manager reported that a male
subject damaged a toilet inside the restroom. The suspect was described as an elderly and bald
black male wearing jeans and a jean jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
Kids Station, 1100 Sam Perry Blvd, 1/12 – 1/13 7:30 a.m. A manager reported that an unknown
person damaged the windshields of three vehicles parked in the lot. The investigation is ongoing.
ARRESTS:
Tina Frye, 50, of Stafford was arrested for possession of cocaine and on a warrant from Stafford
charging her with grand larceny of a vehicle.
Kim McMillian, 38, of Richmond was arrested for possession of cocaine, perjury, and providing
false identification to law enforcement to avoid arrest.
Joseph Hall, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging him
with grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretenses, and unlawfully entering a dwelling at
night.
Laslow Pickett, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for trespassing.
Ashley Grimsley, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault, abduction, preventing
another person from calling 911, and child neglect.
Carlos Bridges, 35, of Stafford was arrested for possession of schedule I,II narcotics and
possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Shelia Crane, 50, of North Chesterfield was arrested for shoplifting from Kohls.
Victor Bibbens, 19, of King and Queen was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Lindsey Rose, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Brittney Staples, 22, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

THEFT OF FUEL OIL:  Sometime between Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, unknown suspect(s) siphoned between 5 to 10 gallons of fuel oil from a tank outside a business in the 100 block of Post Office Road in Waldorf. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.
OFFICERS ASSAULTED DURING ARREST: On Jan. 2 at 7 p.m., officers were called to a house in the area of Dashing Place in Welcome for the report of a 51-year-old man who had overdosed on drugs and was acting bizarre. Officers arrived and observed the man’s hands were bloody and he was in an agitated state.  The man refused officers orders and took up a fighting stance. Officers attempted to arrest the man but he resisted and fought the officers. After a struggle, the man was subdued and taken into custody. He was transported to a hospital for an evaluation.
DRUG ARREST: On Jan. 2 at 3:48 p.m., Officer J. Morales initiated traffic stop in the area of Hamilton Road and Acton Lane after observing a traffic violation. As Officer Morales approached the driver, he detected a strong odor of raw marijuana. Further investigation led to the discovery of nearly 30 grams of suspected marijuana and $3,300 in currency in the car.  The driver, David Lee Harmon, 26, of Brandywine, was charged with possession of marijuana.

BURGLARY:
Leonard Truck Caps, 1401 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/6 – 1/7 8:30 a.m. The manager reported that
an unknown person broke in to the business and stole the cash drawer. The investigation is
ongoing.
LARCENY:
Pitts Automotive, 2610 Princess Anne St, 12/15 – 1/5 9:00 a.m. The owner reported that an
unknown person stole the license plates from his rollback wrecker. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
Best Western, 2205 Plank Rd, 1/6 – 1/7 5:30 a.m. A guest reported that an unknown person
shattered the driver side window on his truck. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
2600 block Cowan Blvd, 12/10 – 1/7 2:25 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
stole medications from her apartment. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
James Wright, 55, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUID and possession of marijuana in the
3100 block of Village Lane.
ARRESTS:
Latoya Peyton, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor
and failing to send her child to school.
Matthew Huntley, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication and violation of a
protective order.
Adam Alig, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from UMW Police charging him
with two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses.
Steven Blair, 42, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
John Holland, 20, of Columbia, Maryland was arrested for possession of marijuana.

**INCIDENTS**
Crash – Fatality – On December 25th at 22:15PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 10300 block of Burwell Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, and only occupant, of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Burwell Rd when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and then an embankment before striking a second tree. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was partially ejected. The driver was flown to an area hospital where he died on January 3rd. Alcohol, drug use, and speed are not factors in this crash.

The driver of the 2013 Hyundai Elantra was identified as Joshua Michael MORRISON, 19, of Bristow
Residential Burglary – On January 5th at 3:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM and 2:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Laptop and network routers, total value around $860, were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On January 5th at 9:24AM, officers responded to A-Plus Wigs and Hair Beauty Supply located at 14230 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:45PM on January 4th and 9:24AM on January 5th. Entry was made into the business through the front glass door which was broken out. Hair products, total value around $8,000, were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On January 5th at 12:36AM, officers responded to Cosmopolitan Professional located at 14473 Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. A police K-9 was used to check the business. No suspects were located. Hair products, total value around $2,200, were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On January 4th at 7:36AM, officers reported to the Sally Beauty Supply located at 8395 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. No suspects were located inside the business. Hair products, total value around $4,200, were reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On January 4th at 2:41AM, officers responded to Sally Beauty Supply located at 13920 Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. A police K-9 was used to check the business. No suspects were located and no property was reported missing. Officers reviewed security footage which showed an unknown man, described below, had entered the business.
Suspect Description:
Male, unknown race or age, 5’10” with a medium build
Last seen wearing a gray knit hat, white shirt, black coat, dark jeans, and dark shoes
Residential Burglary – On January 3rd at 8:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15400 block of Leeds Hill Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:40PM on January 2nd and 7:30AM on January 3rd. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into an attached garage through an open door. Multiple gaming consoles, valued around $1,200, were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 2nd at 12:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Scelzi Ct in Triangle (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 11:00AM she was inside her residence when she observed an unknown man attempting to enter her residence through a rear window using a ladder. Once discovered by the homeowner, the man fled. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. Officers checked the surrounding neighborhood. No suspect was located.

White male, between 20 & 40 years of age, 5’5”, 130lbs with a thin build, mustache, and hazel eyes

**ARRESTS**
Rape | Abduction with Intent to Defile – On January 2nd at 8:17PM, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 12000 block of Coverstone Hill Cir in Manassas (20109) on January 1st. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Manassas Park, reported to police that she was attending a party at a residence in the above area when she was sexually assaulted by the accused who was also attending the same party. The victim is known to the suspect. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 3rd without incident.

Malicious Wounding – On January 2nd at 5:21AM, officers responded to the 12300 block of Timberlane Dr in Manassas (20112) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was giving the accused, a known acquaintance, a ride home when the two became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, slammed her head onto the vehicle’s dashboard. The victim was able to stop the car in the area above and run to a residence where the homeowner to called police. The accused fled the area on foot and was not initially located. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused. The accused was eventually arrested on January 6th.

**ARRESTS** (Continued)
Residential Burglary | Conspiracy to Commit a Felony – On January 2nd at 1:06AM, officers responded to the 3400 block of Beaumont Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he had just arrived home and heard voices coming from within the residence. The homeowner immediately called police and responding officers set up a perimeter around the neighborhood. Two male suspects, both juveniles, were located within the home and subsequently arrested. The suspects gained entry into the home through a side window which was forced open. No property was reported missing from the home however numerous valuables were located in pillow cases within the residence. During the investigation, officers learned that two other suspects were involved in this burglary. One of the suspects, Joseph GARCIA, was identified as the suspect that planned the burglary while a second suspect, Endashaw TESFAYE, drove both juvenile suspects to the residence to commit the offense. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for both suspects who both reportedly reside in Maryland.

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS
MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2014
ROBBERY:
Citgo, 2005 Lafayette Blvd, 1/5 6:15 p.m. A 51-year-old city resident reported that he was
behind the business when he was approached by one or two male subjects who struck him in the
back of the head with an unknown object. The offenders reportedly stole cash from the victim’s
pocket then left the scene. The victim walked home and was transported by a friend to the
Spotsylvania Emergency Center for treatment of his head laceration. The victim was unable to
describe his assailants. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
Castiglia’s, 324 William St, 1/04 11:50 p.m. Police responded for a disturbance between two
females. The victim, a 23-year-old city resident, told officers that she was sitting in a booth at
the bar when she realized her purse was missing. While she was looking for it, a male walked up
to another female inside the bar and attempted to return the missing purse to her, saying that she
had left it behind in the restroom. The owner of the purse intervened and took the purse from the
male, but when she realized that it had been emptied of its contents, she followed the other
female outside the restaurant and called police. The victim’s credit cards and other items were
found inside the clothing of the second female. Ashley Henry, 21, of Spotsylvania was arrested
for grand larceny and two counts of possession of stolen credit cards. Henry was incarcerated at
the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $3500 bond.
VRE Lot H, 299 Prince Edward St, 12/27 – 1/5 9:20 p.m. An officer patrolling in the area
discovered a vehicle that was missing its license plates. After contacting the vehicle owner, it
was confirmed that the plates had been stolen. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Central Park Blvd, 1/5 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. A patron reported that
an unknown person stole the license plates from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
VANDALISM:
400 block Princess Elizabeth St, 12/29 – 1/3 3:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown
person slashed two tires on her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
400 block Lafayette Blvd, 1/3 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
scratched and damaged her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Wash and Fold Laundry, 503 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 1/5 1:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. An officer
patrolling in the area discovered the front door to the business open and damaged. The
investigation is ongoing.
DUI ARRESTS:
Brian Carlson, 40, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1400 block of Central Park
Boulevard.
ARRESTS:
Veronica Barley, 19, of Stafford was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Juvenile female, 15, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Tyrone Tillery, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Virginia Beach charging
him with robbery, malicious wounding, conspiracy, and use of a firearm in the commission of a
felony.
Jessica Eller, 32, of Culpeper was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of a schedule IV
narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Glenn Taylor, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from Advance Auto parts,
possession of burglary tools, and failure to appear in court.
Giovanni Silvestri, 33, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Prince William County
charging him with failure to appear in court.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Armed Robbery – On January 1st at 11:08PM, officers responded to the 3300 block of Bronson Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was delivering pizza to a residence in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The men took a cell phone, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, and pizza from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.
                Suspect Descriptions:
                3 black males, between 5’10”-6’0” – no further descriptions
                All three suspects were last seen wearing black hooded sweaters and ski masks
 
Residential Burglary – On January 2nd at 5:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of General Washington Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. LARCENY:
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 12/27 (reported 1/02) A shopper reported that an unknown
person stole her purse from her shopping cart while she was loading packages into her vehicle.
No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Sunoco, 2307 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 12/31 – 1/1 3:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that
an unknown person stole her credit card and used it to purchase fuel at the Sunoco. The
investigation is ongoing.
500 block Greystone Ct, 1/02 10:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole her
purse from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Robert Perry, 30, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Stafford charging him with
assault and battery and destruction of property.
Carlos Bridges, 35, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to
distribute.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting – On January 1st at 2:14AM, officers responded to the 10100 block of Shiloh Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim, a 31 year old man of Manassas, on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the victim and a known male acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation inside a home in the above area. The argument proceeded outside of the residence and escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a shotgun and shot the victim in the leg. Following the shooting, the suspect left the area. A witness reported to police that the suspect was last seen getting into a 4-door, silver Honda and fleeing the area. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful. This incident was not random.

Malicious Wounding | Shooting – On January 1st at 3:16AM, officers responded to the 16500 block of Badger Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The victim, a 21 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was struck by a bullet. Following the incident, the victim was driven to an area hospital by friends where police were contacted. The victim sustained a non-life threatening wound to his lower body. No suspect information could be provided to officers. This incident does not appear to be random.
 

 
Armed Robbery – On January 1st at 2:02AM, officers reported to the 3200 block of Gina Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she had just gotten out of her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Felony Hit & Run – On January 1st at 6:37PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of River Heritage Dr and Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a hit & run. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 10 year old girl, was walking with her family on the sidewalk adjacent to River Heritage Blvd when the driver of a pick-up truck left the roadway, drove up onto the sidewalk, and struck her. After striking the victim, the driver continued, leaving the roadway a second time at the corner of Jefferson Davis Hwy and River Heritage Blvd. The vehicle was last seen driving north on Jefferson Davis Hwy. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. No description of the driver was provided to investigators.

                Late model, dark in color full-sized pick-up truck, possibly with a flat bed and body lift kit
 
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 1st at 3:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Chaucer Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shooting into a dwelling. The homeowner reported to police that at around 11:00AM, she was cleaning her apartment when she discovered, what appeared to be, two bullet holes in a skylight window. The homeowner stated to police that she heard a noise around 12:30AM that morning but didn’t discover the damage until later in the day. No injuries were reported.
 
Residential Burglary – On January 2nd at 3:12AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she was sleeping in her bedroom when she awoke to an unknown man going through her dresser. Once discovered, the man fled on foot. Entry appeared to have been made into the home through a window. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Miscellaneous items from the resident’s purse were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On January 1st at 4:34PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2800 block of Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00AM and 11:00AM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through a rear sliding glass door. A TV, valued around $1,600, was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On January 1st at 1:35AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16700 block of Georgetown Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM on December 31st and 1:30AM on January 1st. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. Five TV’s and two gaming consoles, total value around $4,000, were reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On January 1st at 6:10AM, officers responded to the area of Myrtlewood Dr and Avenel Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a crash. During the investigation, officer arrested the driver of one of the vehicles for driving under the influence. After the driver was arrested, a passenger of the same vehicle, attempted to get to the driver who was in the backseat of a police cruiser. That passenger, after ignoring multiple requests from the officer, was arrested for disorderly conduct. As that passenger was being arrested, a second passenger, identified as the accused, exited the vehicle and approached the officers. During the encounter, the accused kicked one of the officers and attempted to push past him. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was also arrested. No injuries were reported.

On 12/28/13, Deputy Papke arrested Mr. Bradley Merryman 18, Corey Waters 20, and Anthony Pakhchanian, 22 all of Stafford County for shoplifting from the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.
 
On 12/28/13, Deputy Harney arrested Karen Louise Owens-Russell, 56 of Spotsylvania County for Shoplifting.  She was released on a summons.
 
On 12/27/13, Deputy I. Smeal arrested April Gaskins, 20 of Stafford on five counts of felony embezzlement from the J.C. Penney at Spotsylvania Towne Center.
 
On 12/26/13, Deputy Friedman arrested both Katelyn Summers, 18 of NFA and Forrest Drehs, 19 of Rhoadsville for Grand Larceny-Shoplifting and Conspiracy from Giant at Harrison Crossing.
 
On 12/24/13, Deputy I. Smeal arrested Mr. Brian Hamilton, 23 of Ruther Glen for shoplifting from the Wal-Mart.
 
On 12/24/13, Deputy Harney arrested Lynn Day, 57 from Stafford in the 3000 Block of Plank Road for two counts of Felony Shoplifting.

On 12/31/13, Deputy Plunkett arrested Vincent Hardy Jr., 22 of Spotsylvania for Violation of a Protective Order, 2 counts of Attempting to Enter the Home of a Protected Person and was also served on outstanding warrants for similar charges.  Units responded to a residence in the 8900 block of Crismond Lane.
 
On 12/28/13, Deputy Boone arrested Jo Ann Hanson, 57 of Spotsylvania for Assault on Law Enforcement.

On 12/29/13, Deputy Spillman arrested Manuel Sotillo-Soto, 20 of Spotsylvania for DUI and Hit and Run on Balls Bluff Rd.
 
On 12/28/13, Deputy Handy arrested Mr. Gerard Quinn, 47 of Delaware for DUI after an accident investigation in the area of the Wa-Wa at Cosner's Corner.
 
On 12/24/13, Animal Control Deputy Couturier arrested Amy Lam, 39 of Spotsylvania for misdemeanor Eluding, Possession of Marijuana, and DUID. The arrest stemmed from an attempted traffic stop on Rt. 3 near Ely’s Ford Rd.
 
On 12/21/13, Deputy Plunkett arrested Melody Faith Coe, 50 for DUI and Refusal.  Deputy Plunkett pulled over the subject for swerving and defective tail light.

On 12/29/13, Deputy Smeal arrested Kelsea Carlson, 18 of Williamsburg for Possession of Marijuana resulting from a suspicious vehicle check on Joseph Mills Dr.
 
On 12/28/13, Deputy I. Smeal arrested and released Sean Creel, 18 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Possession of Marijuana at Patriot Park.
 
On 12/27/13, Deputy Coerper arrested and released Michael Kellison, 20 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Possession of Marijuana during a traffic stop at Courthouse Rd and Milgarden Dr.
 
On 12/23/13, Deputy Moore arrested Leonard Albert Taylor, 39 from Spotsylvania in the 8000 Block of Engelman Lane for an outstanding warrant.  While on the warrant service, Deputy Moore found Leonard to be in Possession of Marijuana, and subsequently charged him with Possession of Marijuana.
On 12/23/13, Deputy Griffith released Katrianna Robinson, 21 of Maine on a summons for Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop at Jefferson Davis Highway and Market St.

Arrests
On 12/31/13, Lt Clem arrested Theodore Simpson Jr., 20 for Driving Suspended, Felony Eluding, Obstruction, DUI and Reckless Driving.  The arrest occurred after a vehicle and foot pursuit with the subject at Post Oak Rd. and Hunters Pond.
On 12/28/13, several units responded to the Spotsylvania Towne Center for a missing three year old boy.  The child had been missing for about ten minutes.  Upon arrival of the units, the child was located shortly after, and turned over to the mother.
 
On 12/27/13, Deputy Boyd arrested Dustin Hill, 33 of Spotsylvania for Public Intoxication on Leavells Crossing Dr.
 
On 12/27/13, Deputy Wright arrested Juhon White, 30 of Spotsylvania for Public Intoxication at the Spotsylvania Towne Centre. 
 
On 12/26/13, Deputy Wahl arrested Nicholas Christiansen, 25 of Spotsylvania for Felony Eluding, Driving Suspended, Reckless Driving and No Registration after a motorcycle pursuit in the area of Mine Rd/Calvary Ridge Rd. 
 
On 12/21/13, Deputy Basil was working a traffic checking detail in the area of Peek's Nursery when he came into contact with Shannon Eppard, 37 of Orange who did not have her license with her.  Shannon provided a social security number that returned to a male subject and a fictitious name and date of birth.  Deputy Basil later obtained Shannon's correct information and she returned suspended.  Deputy Basil arrested Shannon for False I.D. to Law Enforcement, Using Someone Else's I.D. to Deceive Law Enforcement and Driving Suspended. 
On 12/21/13, Deputy Brandon Baugh arrested Scott Cook, 28 for Vandalism.   The victims observed Scott driving his vehicle through their yards spinning tires.  Deputy J. Seay located the vehicle and Scott nearby, in a driveway.  The offenses occurred on Piney Branch Rd.
On 12/21/13, Deputy Collins arrested Christina Bellota-Ugarte, 38 for Hit and Run, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended, Providing False ID, Vandalism, and two counts of Contributing.   Christina was driving around with two juveniles, who were smashing mailboxes with a baseball bat. 
On 12/21/13, Sr. Deputy Payne released Maria Lucas, 32 of Spotsylvania, on a summons for Driving without a License, Defective Equipment, and Possession of a Fictitious Identification Card as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Lafayette Boulevard and Laurel Avenue.
On 12/21/13, Sgt. Assur released Marcus Adkins, 23 of Richmond on a summons for Drinking While Driving, Driving Revoked, and Reckless Driving resulting from a traffic stop on Salem Station Blvd.
On 12/21/13, Deputy Weins arrested Stefan Wormley, 28 of Fredericksburg after a foot pursuit in the area of Advanced Auto Parts, 4 mile fork.  Stefan had a warrant for Destruction of Property and outstanding warrants out of Maryland.

CRITICAL MISSING TEENAGER FOUND SAFE: On January 2 at 8:30 a.m., a missing autistic teenager - who had been reported missing to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office on Jan 1 at 10 p.m. from the 11900 block of Acton Lane in Waldorf - was located at Miller’s Farm in the 10400 block of Piscataway Road in Clinton, MD. The teen was spotted by an off-duty police officer who noticed the teen seemed disoriented. Prince George’s County Police responded and ran a computer check revealing the teen had been reported missing. The teen was safe and unharmed and was re-united with his family.

THEFT: Sometime between Jan. 1 and Jan 2, someone stole four wheels and rims from a car parked in the 3400 block of Tulip Tree Court in Waldorf. The suspect(s) also stole a GPS which was inside the vehicle. Officer J. Hatfield is investigating.

THEFTS FROM STORAGE LOT: Sometime between Dec. 27 and Jan. 1, someone stole the exhaust from a tractor trailer truck which was parked at a storage lot in the 2400 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Stereos, televisions and other items were stolen from the storage lot as well. PFC P. DeBoe is investigating.  

THEFT OF HVAC UNIT: On Dec. 31, a homeowner reported someone had stolen an HVAC from the rear of a vacant house in the 3400 block of Maddox Court in Waldorf.  Officer S. Hooper is investigating.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Dec. 30, during the overnight hours, someone destroyed two mailboxes in the 5700 block of Goode Road in Hughesville. Officer A. Duckett is investigating.

stole jewelry and other items of value from her bedroom. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
200 block Charles St, 12/31 4:50 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole cash
from his wallet. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Hard Times Café, 314 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 12/30 – 12/31 10:00 a.m. A resident reported that
her Honda Civic was stolen from the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.
COUNTERFEITING:

person passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the bar. The investigation is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
1500 block Caroline St, 12/30 – 12/31 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that her porch flag was
broken off and stabbed into the ground of her front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
700 block Freeman St, 1/1 12:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person damaged the
Christmas decorations in her front yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 12/31 – 1/1 3:30 p.m. Two residents reported that an unknown
person damaged their vehicles, possibly with BB shot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
