Caroline County, Virginia – Investigations conducted 
by Caroline, Hanover, Louisa, and Spotsylvania Sheriff’s 
Offices have resulted in the arrests of Daniel W. 
McFadden, 25, and Amanda A. Thresher, 25, both of 
the 2800 block of Partlow Road in Spotsylvania County. 
The arrests are in connection with a series of residential 
break-ins that have occurred in those counties between 
July 2013 and February 2014.
At least a dozen cases have been linked to McFadden 
and Thresher in Caroline County alone, as well as many 
others in Hanover, Louisa, and Spotsylvania counties.
McFadden has been charged with twelve burglaries and 
additional charges are possible. McFadden is being held 
at Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford and Thresher 
is being held at Pamunkey Regional Jail in Hanover. 
Caroline Investigators consider this an active 
investigation.

LARCENY: 
Orion Sushi Bar, 318 William St, 2/28 12:30 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. A patron reported that an 
unknown person stole her coat and car keys while she was inside the establishment. No suspects 
or witnesses at this time. 
ARRESTS: 
Kurtwan Hunter, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for forgery of bank notes, conspiracy, and 
obtaining money by false pretenses. 
Joelia Mayi, 47, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony shoplifting from Plato’s Closet. 
Virginia Mayo, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of false identification. 
Randy Munnerlyn, 44, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging 
him with assault and battery.

MEN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE DRUGS: On Feb. 26 at 9:45 p.m., Officer J. Fenlon initiated a traffic stop near Lexington Drive and Middletown Road after observing a speeding violation. Upon approaching the car, Officer Fenlon detected the strong odor of marijuana. Further investigation led to the discovery of a bag of marijuana inside the vehicle as well as four additional bags with residual marijuana. The occupants of the car, Tyron Lamar Cook, 25, of Waldorf and Jordan De Ryan Brazelton, 25, of Ft. Washington, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs.  
COURIER THEFT/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: On Feb. 25 at 11:45 a.m., a man was getting ready to enter a bank at Waldorf Market Place when a male suspect approached and grabbed a bank deposit bag the man was carrying. The suspect ran to a gold, older model car and fled. Detectives are following leads. The CCSO is reminding people to take precautions when making a business deposit at a bank: if possible, have someone accompany you to the bank, hide the bank deposit bag so it is not visible to anyone, alternate the times you make deposits, pay attention to your surroundings and if you see something suspicious, call police immediately. Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Det. T. Hemsley is investigating. 
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY REPORTED: On Feb. 26, at 7 p.m., officers responded to an address in White Plains for the report of suspicious activity. A woman said she was at the Shopper’s Food Warehouse on Crain Highway earlier in the day and as she was loading groceries in her car, she observed a man sitting in a car next to her. She left and went home. Later, the woman noticed the same car drive by her house. Then, at about 6:30 p.m., the man who had been in the car knocked on her front door. The woman’s adult son answered the knock and the man indicated he was there to talk with the woman. Neither the woman nor her son recognized the man and they called police. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect. He is described as a black male in his mid twenties, 5’5” to 5’7”, 150-170 lbs., beard, moustache, and had red, bloodshot eyes. He was wearing a gray hooded shirt with white stripes and a black knit hat and he was driving a small, four-door car, possibly dark blue or black. It is not clear what his motive was. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at(301) 932-2222. Cpl. T. Long is investigating.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On February 26th at 1:57PM, officers responded to the Wal-Mart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery in progress. An employee reported to police that she was in the process of checking out another customer when an unknown man approached her and pushed her aside once the register was open. The man then took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported. Employees further stated that the same man was in the store earlier and had taken two packs of cigarettes without paying.
                Suspect Description:
White male, between 45 & 50 years of age, 6’0”, 170lbs with a thin build, short brown hair and a mustache
Last seen wearing a dark blue puffy coat, blue jeans, dark blue hat with a light blue emblem, and black shoes
 
Residential Burglary – On February 26th at 2:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Wharf Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she was inside her residence and observed an unknown man in her bedroom. The man took the victim’s purse and fled the residence on foot. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked front door. The suspect didn’t speak to the homeowner during the encounter and no injuries were reported. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and other items were reportedly inside the purse.
                Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’11”, 150lbs with a thin build, black hair, medium complexion, and facial hair
Last seen wearing blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pants, and white & blue shoes
 

Residential Burglary – On February 26th at 10:06AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9400 block of Brentsville Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on February 25th and 9:00AM on February 26th. Entry was made into the home through a basement level window which was broken out. No property was reported missing.

LARCENY: 
600 block Charlotte St, 2/25 – 2/26 5:20 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole a 
shoulder bag from her unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Guadalupe Robles, 54, of Stafford was arrested for DUI, hit and run, and public intoxication in 
the 500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. 
John Crone, 35, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 3300 block of Fall Hill Avenue. 
ARRESTS: 
Kasey McGreevy, 26, of Reva was arrested for obtaining money by false pretenses. 
Cortashia Curry, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging her 
with shoplifting. 
Walter Crosman, 32, of no fixed address was arrested for throwing a missile at an occupied 
vehicle.

**INCIDENTS**
 
School Drug Searches – On February 24th, members of the School Resource Officer Unit and K-9 Unit conducted a routine drug search at Woodbridge Senior High School located at 3001 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192). As common practice, students were removed from one of the classrooms for the search. During the search, a police K-9 alerted on two backpacks that left in the room. After a subsequent search of the bags, marijuana was located. Following the investigation, the officer obtained charges against both students. One of the students, an adult, is still wanted. On the same day, a search was also conducted at Godwin Middle School, no drugs were located. These searches are performed routinely at different schools in the county and are not in response to any public concern.

Residential Burglary – On February 25th at 5:15PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 12200 block of Ashmont Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 2:20PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Jewelry, valued around $1,100, was reported missing.
 

Residential Burglary – On February 25th at 1:11PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Sequoia Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:30PM and 6:00PM on February 24th. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A gaming console and game, total value around %560, were reported missing.

Malicious Wounding – On February 24th at 8:49AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Tilletson Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused picked up a glass candle holder and threw it towards the victim, striking him in the head. The victim sustained a minor injury. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 25th at 4:13PM, officers responded to the 15400 block of Chopawamsic Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a disorderly. Caller reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, was at the residence and was agitated. Officers arrived and determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. At that point, officers placed the accused in handcuffs and began escorting her to a police cruiser. Once at the cruiser, the accused refused to sit in the backseat and forcibly kicked one of the officers in the leg. Minor injuries were reported.

Assault & Battery – On February 25th at 7:45AM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 37 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation on a PRTC bus. The altercation escalated physically and, at one point, the victim pulled out a knife and stabbed the accused in self-defense. The bus stopped in the above area where both parties got off and the fight continued. Officers arrived and detained both parties. The accused was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested. The victim was not charged. The accused sustained a cut wound to his chest and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Narcotics Investigation – On December 12th [2013], detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the sales of heroin, ecstasy, and marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at a residence located at 14728 Featherstone Rd in Woodbridge (22191). As a result of the search; pills, marijuana, cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrests were also made without incident. These arrests were previously held for investigative purposes.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Armed Robbery – On February 24th at 12:56PM, officers responded to the Check into Cash business located at 12367 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery.  Employees reported to police that two unknown men entered the business, ordered the employees to the ground, and demanded money. One of the men displayed a hand gun, while the other man displayed an electronic restraint device. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the business before fleeing on foot.  No injuries were reported.

                Black male, unknown age, 5’10”, 190lbs with a medium build and brown eyes
                Last seen wearing a mask, green jacket, and jeans
             
Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’00”, 220lbs with a heavy build and brown eyes

Malicious Wounding | Felony Child Abuse – On February 24th at 2:33PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault involving a child. A caller notified police to report that a child could be heard yelling from a neighboring residence. Police responded to that residence and located the victim, a 4 year old female child. The investigation revealed that the victim suffered multiple strikes to the body by the accused, a known acquaintance, using an electrical cord. The accused was still at the residence when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Felony Child Neglect – On February 22nd at 10:31PM, officers responded to the area of Anchorage Cove and Olde Port Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate the report of an unconscious person. A caller reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he located an unknown woman, later identified as the accused, lying on the ground, unresponsive. At the time, the accused was accompanied by two three year old male children, later identified as family members. When police arrived, they took custody of the children while the accused was transported to an area hospital. The investigation revealed that the accused was walking to a nearby store with the children and was under the influence of PCP which caused her to pass out. The accused was treated for non-life threatening injuries and, after an investigation, was arrested without incident. The children were unharmed and subsequently released to the care of a family member.

Food Lion, 515 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 2/24 11:50 a.m. A vendor reported that an unknown 
person stole his cell phone from his table. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
500 block Maple Ct, 2/23 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
stole a license plate from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
100 block Springwood Dr, 2/20 – 2/24 9:00 a.m. A landlord reported that items were stolen 
from her vacant rental apartment. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
ARRESTS: 
Barbara Greene, 67, of Fredericksburg was arrested for assault. 
Terry Smith, 67, of Spotsylvania was arrested for assault. 
Augusta Harris, 57, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

OFFICERS LOCATE CRITICAL MISSING MAN: On Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 8100 block of Bensville Road in Waldorf for the report of a missing 82-year-old man. According to family members, the man left his house several hours earlier and was headed to an address in Marbury but he never arrived. Officers contacted the Maryland State Police who activated a Silver Alert. Within ten minutes a police officer with the Maryland National Capital Park Police in Montgomery County spotted the man’s car and found the man inside, safe and not injured. The man’s family was contacted and arrangements were made to have him transported back home. Officer D. Proctor investigated.
TEEN CHARGED WITH ROBBERY: On Feb. 24 at 6:45 a.m., detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, with assistance from the CCSO Emergency Services Team and patrol, served a search warrant in the 900 block of Barrington Drive in Waldorf. The warrant was part of an investigation into a robbery that occurred on Feb. 10 on Bedford Court. During the initial investigation, Officer A. Duckett developed a suspect. Further leads were pursued and detectives obtained the search warrant. During the search, the victim’s property was discovered in the suspect’s home. In addition, officers found a handgun and ammunition. The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was arrested and charged with robbery. He was 15 when he committed the crime. Det. A. Celia is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH DUI AFTER CRASHING INTO TWO POLICE CARS INVESTIGATING AN UNRELATED DWI:

 On Feb. 22 at 1:41 a.m., Cpl. S. Potter initiated a traffic stop at Smallwood Drive and St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf after observing a suspected drunk driver. The driver, Erick Wayne Carter, 40, of Waldorf, was detained and placed in Cpl. Potter’s patrol car. Officer A. Duckett assisted and was in her patrol car parked directly behind Cpl. Potter. Suddenly, a vehicle crashed into Officer Duckett’s car and then struck Cpl. Potter’s vehicle before hitting Carter’s car. The striking vehicle continued forward and stopped in a ditch. Officers approached the car and detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver, Marquis D ‘Angelo Hagens. Officers tried to arrest Hagens, but he became combative and resisted. He was quickly subdued. Cpl. Potter, Officer Duckett, and the suspects, Hagens and Carter, were transported to the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. A passenger in Hagens’ car refused medical treatment. Hagens, 24, of Waldorf, was charged with driving under the influence, driving while suspended, failure to drive right of center and other traffic offenses. Carter was later charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence and other traffic violations. Both of the officers’ cars were disabled.
THEFT FROM AUTO: Sometime between Feb. 22 and Feb. 23, someone broke into an unlocked car in the 9400 block of Biltmore Street in Waldorf and stole a cell phone charger and an auxiliary cord. Officer M. Casarrubias is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE DRUGS: On Feb. 23 at 1:47 a.m., Sgt. A. Schwab observed a suspicious vehicle parked outside a business in the 3500 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Upon approaching the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the car. Sgt. Schwab and Officer S. Hooper located a bag of marijuana inside the vehicle. The marijuana was packaged in a manner consistent with drug sales. The driver, Karfunbah Kromah, 27, of Waldorf was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs and possession of marijuana.
ATTEMPT BURGLARY:  On Feb. 21 at 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 12100 block of Pelham Court in Waldorf for the report of an attempt burglary. Investigation showed someone broke out a portion of the glass window to the garage door and tried to gain entry. Officers also discovered the screen to a back window had been removed. No one entered the house and nothing was reported stolen. POII C. Garner is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH FILING FALSE REPORT RELATED TO SHOOTING: On Feb. 21, detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division charged a man with filing a false report in reference to a shooting he reported last year. OnDecember 30, Christian Leggett, 19, of Waldorf, went to the Charles Regional Medical Center to receive treatment for a gunshot wound to his hand. He told medical staff and officers that an unknown person shot him as he was leaving a party in Waldorf. Detectives pursued information and later conducted a follow-up interview with Leggett.  During the interview, Leggett admitted he lied about the initial report and said he accidentally shot himself. He was charged with filing a false report. Det. J. Elliott investigated.
THEFT: On Feb. 21 at 4:48 p.m., three suspects stole a change holder from a cash register at a business in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. The suspects fled in a silver, four-door Mazda. Cpl. R. Heishman is investigating.

Theft
On 2/23/14, Deputy Harney arrested Brittany Nicole Harrison, 23 of Front Royal at Wal-Mart for Possession of Schedule II Narcotics and Shoplifting.
 
On 2/21/14, Deputy Buccola arrested Marvin Chadwick Burrell, 36 of Spotsylvania in the 12000 Block of Trench Hill Lane for two counts of Grand Larceny, and two counts of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.  
 
On 2/20/14, Detective Wright assisted investigators from Hanover, Caroline and Louisa County Sheriff’s Offices with the apprehension of Amanda Thresher, 25 of Spotsylvania on multiple felony warrants for Burglary and Grand larceny. 
 
On 2/19/14, Sr. Deputy Tillman arrested Jordan Weikel, 22 and Sherry Hayden, 57 both of Spotsylvania for Grand Larceny Shoplifting from Wal-Mart. 
 
On 2/19/14, Deputy Hanrahan released James Parker, 18 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Petit Larceny Shoplifting from Belk’s.
 
 
Assault
On 2/22/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Thomas Edenstrum, 56 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery and Obstruction of Justice.
 
On 2/21/14, Deputy Papke arrested Shane Price, 48 of Spotsylvania for Robbery and Assault as a result of him punching a woman in the face and snatching $100 from her hand at Spotsylvania Gold & Pawn.
 
DUI
On 02/23/14, Deputy M. Jones initiated a traffic stop at Kilarney Drive and Ohara Court. Donnie Barnes, 29 of Woodbridge was arrested for DUI.
 
On 2/22/14, Sr. Deputy Myrick arrested Michael McClung, 32 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Heroin and DUI on Grace Hl.
 
On 2/22/14, Deputy Griffith arrested Gerritt Lee, 42 of Spotsylvania for DUI and Driving Suspended at Hard Times.
 
On 2/19/14, Deputy Setlock arrested Alessandra Fields, 45 of Spotsylvania for DUID and Possession of Marijuana in the 11300 block of Catharpin Road. 
 
On 2/17/14, Deputy Perkins arrested Leslie Camp, 36 for DUI, Refusal, False ID to Law Enforcement, Driving Revoked and Defective Equipment.  Deputy Perkins pulled her over for a Defective Third Brake Light at Mine Rd. and Rt. 1. 
 
Narcotics
On 2/23/14, Deputy Coerper released Sherrod Rodgers, 20 of Stafford for Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop on Old Plank Rd.

On 02/22/14, Deputy Coerper marked out with a suspicious vehicle in the vacant lot next to Engine Co. 7. Heather Bransby, 20 of Orange County was released on a summons for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
 
On 2/19/14, Sgt. Belcher arrested Melissa Davis, 38 of Stafford for Possession of a Schedule IV Narcotic after responding a warrant service call at Probation and Parole.  She was wanted on two out of jurisdiction capias warrants. 
 
On 2/18/14, Deputy I. Smeal arrested Robert Morris, 20 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana and released him on a summons. The arrest stemmed from an officer initiated suspicious vehicle check on Spotsylvania Ave.

On 02/22/14, Sgt. Carey initiated a traffic stop in the area of Lake Anna Pkwy/Robert E. Lee Dr.  Nicholas Tittle, 18 of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving,

**INCIDENTS**
 
Murder Investigation – On February 21st at 8:59PM, officers responded to Platanillos Grocery and Jewelry located at 14342 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived at the business and located two adult female victims, both sustaining gunshot wounds to the upper body. One of the victims died at the scene while the second victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. Witnesses reported to police that three males were seen entering the store followed by gunshots. The suspects immediately fled the business after the shooting, possibly on foot. Two additional people, a customer and another employee, were also inside the store at the time of the incident and were unharmed. No property or money was taken during the incident. The victims were both identified as employees of the business. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively investigating this incident as a murder. The initial report describing the suspects as black males has not been confirmed. The suspects can only be described as males, unknown race or age, all reportedly wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s first murder of 2014.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On February 22nd at 9:25PM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Cuddy Lp in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 58 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she had just parked near her residence in the above area when she was approached by an unknown male juvenile. The juvenile was armed with a handgun and ordered the victim to the ground, demanding her purse. The victim screamed and a neighbor came outside to check. When confronted by the neighbor, the juvenile pulled the trigger on the gun before fleeing on a silver BMX style bicycle. No property was taken and no injuries were reported. The gun used in the incident is believed to have been a cap gun.

Black male, between 10 & 13 years of age, 5’0” with a thin build, dark complexion, and black hair

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 22nd at 11:52AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4200 block of Granby Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that an unknown male knocked on the front door of the residence at 11:45AM. The occupants of the residence did not answer the door and ultimately lost sight of the person. A short time later, the occupants heard what they believed to be glass breaking on a lower level of the residence. Police arrived and found a broken glass window in the rear of the residence. After the occupants exited, a police K9 was used to search the residence. No suspect was located and no entry was made into the home. The investigation continues.

Commercial Burglary – On February 22nd at 8:00AM, officers responded to the American Auto Salvage located at 14210 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The business owner reported to police that two unknown men entered the business at approximately 12:45AM. There were no signs of forced entry. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured door. Miscellaneous tools, valued around $1,550, were reported missing. A description of the suspects was obtained from video surveillance.
Suspect Descriptions:
Two white males, both between 30 & 35 years of age, with heavy builds
Last seen wearing hooded style sweatshirts with one carrying a light colored backpack with reflective tape
 
Commercial Burglary – On February 22nd at 7:46AM, officers responded to the Tackett’s Mill Car Wash located at 12831 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. An employee of business reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on February 21st and 7:20AM on February 22nd. Entry was made into the business by removing a piece of glass from one of the doors. A computer, valued around $7,900, and an undisclosed amount of US Currency were reported missing.
 

Commercial Burglary – On February 22nd at 3:25AM, officers responded to Cellular Sales of Virginia located at 16708 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. A police K-9 was used to check the business. No suspects were located. Two iPhones, valued around $300, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 22nd at 7:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Leroux Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:59AM on February 21st and 7:00AM on February 22nd. Entry was made into an attached garage through an open door. Entry was not made into the main residence. Two bows, valued around $1250, were reported missing.
 
Commercial Burglary – On February 21st at 8:57AM, officers responded to United Auto Body located at 13304 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. An employee of the business reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on February 20th and 8:00AM on February 21st. Entry was made into a fence lot of the business. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed catalytic converters from seven vehicles, totaling around $2,000. No descriptions were provided for the suspect(s).
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 22nd at 11:37AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Forge Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that an unknown man knocked on the front door of the residence around 10:00AM. The occupants of the residence did not answer the door. A short time later, the occupants observed the same man walk down the driveway and into the backyard where he attempted to gain entry through a secured rear door. The man fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. Entry was not made into the residence.

Black male, between 30 & 35 years of age, 5’10”, 170lbs with thin build
Last seen wearing a black colored hoodie style sweatshirt, black pants and black and white sneakers
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 22nd at 10:45AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Beaumont Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was inside his home when he heard the sound of glass breaking in the basement. Upon checking the residence, the homeowner discovered an unknown person reaching through a window in an attempt to unlock it. The homeowner confronted the suspect who immediately fled on foot. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On February 22nd at 9:33AM, officers responded to a residence in the 1800 Beegee Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 53 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was stabbed multiple times by the accused, a known acquaintance, while inside the home. After a struggle, the victim was able to get out of the residence and contact another resident of the home. The accused also left the residence but was a located a short distance away by police and was taken into custody without further incident. Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Armed Robbery – On February 21st at 2:04AM, officers responded to the 7800 block of Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 33 year old man of Springfield, reported to police that he was walking into the 7-11 located in the above area when he was grabbed by the accused, a known acquaintance. The accused attempted to grab the victim’s backpack which led to a struggle. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a pocket knife and began stabbing the victim. The accused took the backpack and fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit identified the accused and obtained warrants. The accused was arrested later in the day without further incident.

400 block William St, 2/22 12:20 a.m. A homeless man reported that he was assaulted and 
possibly stabbed by an unknown male on William Street. The 45-year-old victim was 
transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his knee. 
There is no description of the suspect at this time. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
300 block Maple Ct, 2/21 – 2/22 12:05 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
jewelry and a game system from her apartment. The investigation is ongoing. 
2000 block Woodlyn Dr, 2/21 – 2/22 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
broke a window on her vehicle and stole a quantity of cash from the glove box. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time. 
The Recreation Center, 213 William St, 2/22 10:30 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown 
person stole her cell phone. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Bourbon Room, 213 William St, 2/23 1:45 a.m. A deejay reported that an unknown person stole 
her laptop computer from a table inside the business. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Funland, 1351 Central Park Blvd, 2/23 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported 
that an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from inside. No

VANDALISM: 
Vivify, 314 William St, 2/20 – 2/21 1:15 p.m. The owner reported that an unknown person 
damaged the sign on the front of the building. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1300 block Seacobeck St, 2/22 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person slashed three tires on his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
700 block Kenmore Ave, 2/23 10:00 p.m. While an officer was traveling in the 1900 block of 
Princess Anne Street, a maroon Toyota drove by him in the opposite direction at a high rate of 
speed and without its headlights on. The officer turned his patrol car around and stopped the 
Toyota near the Hardee’s on Princess Anne Street, but the car pulled off again before the officer could approach the driver. The officer followed the Toyota for several blocks downtown and 
briefly lost sight of it until he found the vehicle crashed at the entrance to the Union Bank on 
Jackson Street. The driver was unresponsive and was transported from the scene by ambulance 
to Mary Washington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Toyota was found to have 
been stolen from an address in Stafford County. Tommy George, 53, of Ruther Glen was 
arrested for DUI, possession of stolen property, felony eluding, driving on a revoked license, and 
reckless driving. George was also served with warrants from Stafford charging him with 
tampering with a vehicle and grand larceny. George was incarcerated at the Rappahannock 
Regional Jail under no bond.

February 21, 2014 - Caroline County Investigators have received information of possible stolen and/or counterfeited jewelry being sold by several individuals at the Mr. Fuel located at the I-95 exit #104 in Carmel Church. 
The suspects are showing the jewelry with a counterfeited S&S Jewelers tag indicating a retail value of over a thousand dollars, but are willing to sell it for just $100. Some of the jewelry recovered was inspected by a  professional jeweler who advised that the jewelry was “cheaply” plated copper with fake diamonds and worth  approximately $30. S&S Jewelers located in Melbourne, Florida have confirmed that the jewelry is not from 
their store and acknowledge reports from multiple jurisdictions that their S&S Jewelers merchandise tag is being counterfeited. 
The suspects are described as three black males operating out of a faded green Honda Accord with North Carolina plates.
If anyone has any information as to the identity or whereabouts of these individuals OR if you’ve been a victim of theirs please contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2014 
 
ASSAULT: 
Rec Center, 213 William St, 2/20 7:00 p.m. Police responded for a disturbance and found a 33-
year-old male on the sidewalk outside who was bleeding from an injury to his ear. The victim 
reported that he was struck in the head and arm with a pool stick during an altercation with 
another man inside the business. The victim was transported to Mary Washington Hospital by 
ambulance for treatment of his injuries. The assailant was another patron of the business and he 
was still inside the building when police arrived. Guy Amburgey, 50, of Stafford was arrested 
for malicious wounding and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. 
LARCENY: 
James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 2/20 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. A student 
reported that an unknown person stole her cell phone from her backpack. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time. 
VANDALISM: 
400 block Chadwick Ct, 2/19 – 2/20 9:00 a.m. A property owner reported that an unknown 
person entered the home by unknown means and did significant damage to the interior walls and 
floors of the unoccupied house. The investigation is ongoing.

with assault and battery.

BOMB THREAT AT COURTHOUSE: On Feb. 20 at about 8:50 a.m., officers responded to the Charles County courthouse in La Plata after someone called Prince George’s County 911 and indicated a bomb was outside the Circuit Court section of the building. Charles County sheriff’s office K-9 teams, including bomb detection dogs, responded along with patrol officers. They conducted an extensive canvass and did not locate anything. The courthouse was not evacuated while officers performed their search. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division are investigating.
ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING: On Feb. 19 at 4:50 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Stonecat Court in Waldorf after a man called 911 and reported he had been shot by an unknown male while stopped in traffic near his neighborhood. When officers arrived, they observed the man had a gunshot wound to his leg; they also noted inconsistencies with his story.  The man was transported to a hospital where detectives responded. Investigators soon learned the man accidently shot himself while attempting to unload his black powder gun at home. Det. J. Austin of the Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. 
OFFICERS APPREHEND ASSAULT SUSPECT: On Feb. 16 at 11:45 a.m., officers responded to the area of Forest Park at Renner Road in Waldorf for the report of an assault in progress. The victims reported they were driving on Forest Park Road when a man intentionally tried to run them off the road. A lookout was broadcast and Officer S. Hooper observed the suspect’s truck and initiated a traffic stop. Other officers spoke with the people in the car and discovered the suspect was the ex-boyfriend of one of the occupants and he tried to force her car off the roadway because he was angry with her.  The suspect, Joseph Robert Willet, III, 20, of Hughesville, was arrested. Officers found a shotgun in his truck as well as knives and ammunition. He was charged with reckless endangerment and assault.

Attempted Arm Robbery – On February 18th at 9:05PM, officers responded to the Yorkshire Service Center located at 7522 Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, approached the counter, and demanded money. The suspect extended his hand, which was covered with a pillow case, implying he had a weapon. During the encounter, the victim threw a chair at the man who then fled from the store on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.  No injuries were reported and no money was taken.

White male, between 16 & 19 years of age, 5’7”, 160lbs with thin build
Last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants, black shoes and something black covering on his face
 
Residential Burglary – On February 19th at 3:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Dixon Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:00PM and 10:00PM on February 18th.  There were no signs of forced entry into the home.  Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecure door.  A gaming system, laptop and miscellaneous Jordan style tennis shoes, total value around $850, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 18th at 3:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9600 block of Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 3:20PM. Entry was made into the home through a window which was broken out.  A laptop, gaming console with controller, miscellaneous food and alcoholic beverages, jewelry, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, total value around $1,000, were reported missing.
 

Commercial Burglary – On February 18th at 10:31AM, officers responded to the Princeton Woods Apartment Complex located at 3465 Dry Powder Cir in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary.  An apartment complex employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on February 17th and 7:00AM on February 18th. Entry was made into a community gym through a window which was broken out.  No property was reported missing.

On 2/15/14, Sgt. Belcher arrested Sharesse Boyd, 24 of Stafford for three counts of Larceny and Assault and Battery after she was caught shoplifting from the Giant at Harrisons Crossing and assaulting an employee trying to stop her. 
 
On 2/12/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Ruben Santiago, 22 of Spotsylvania for Shoplifting at the Wal-Mart. 
 
On 02/12/14, Deputy Drewry arrested Rodney Waller, 46 from Spotsylvania in the 2700 Block of Lafayette Blvd for Felony Shoplifting.

On 2/14/14, Deputy Friedman released Corey Ford, 19 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Brandishing after he brandished a black BB pistol during a dispute behind the Minuteman Press in the Breezewood Shopping Center. 
 
On 2/14/14, Sgt. Assur arrested Michael Patton, 40 of Fredericksburg for Assault and Possession of Marijuana.  The incident occurred in the 8800 block of Curtis Ln.

Narcotics
On 2/15/15, Deputy Setlock released Richard Hewes, 19 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel after performing a traffic stop on his vehicle at Travelers Row Shopping Center. 
 
On 2/15/15, Deputy Tittle arrested Robert Hogate, 53 of Spotsylvania for felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute after responding to a call in the 100 block of Mansfield St.  Deputy Tittle also released Esther Menard, 52 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Possession of Marijuana. 
 
On 2/14/14, Deputy Basil arrested William Angley, 48 of Spotsylvania for 4 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and six counts of Child Endangerment after responding to the Econo Lodge for a possible DUI.  Deputy Basil also arrested Charles Taylor, 41 and Jacob Meadows, 25 both of Spotsylvania for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
 
On 2/11/14, Deputy N. Ridings released Anita Bourne, 29 of King George on a summons for Possession of paraphernalia and Driving Suspended in the area of Jeff Davis/I-95 NB.
 
On 2/10/14, Sr. Deputy Myrick arrested Natalie Selles, 28 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotics. Paul Sansone, 27 of Spotsylvania was also released on a summons for Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop on Jefferson Davis Highway.

FORENSIC ARTIST CREATES SKETCH OF ROBBERY SUSPECT/CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING REWARD: Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the identity of a robbery suspect and Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest. On Jan. 30 at 12:46 p.m., the victim, an employee of a local business, was walking toward a bank in the 3200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when the suspect approached, assaulted him and grabbed a bank deposit bag he was carrying. The suspect fled and the victim called police. Detectives obtained a photo taken from a surveillance camera near the bank. In addition, Sgt. D. Stahl, a forensic artist, created a sketch of the suspect based on the victim’s description. The suspect is a black male with a light complexion and at the time of the robbery had a thin moustache. He weighs about 150 lbs., and was wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and teal or turquoise colored shoes. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Det. J. OFFICERS LOCATE FUGITIVE: On Feb. 15 at 4 p.m., officers were in the 6800 block of Ralph Myers Place in Bryans Road searching for Kent Leroy Smith, Jr., 22, of Bryans Road  who had open warrants for  felony assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, trespassing, violation of probation regarding a drug case, felony theft, rogue and vagabond and traffic offenses.  Officers spotted Smith near Surrey Place but he fled once he was observed. Officers pursued Smith on foot into a wooded area where Smith fell into a creek. He was apprehended without further incident. Officers found Smith in possession of a glass vile of suspected PCP, five clear glassine bags with suspected crack cocaine and a plastic bag with three suspected crack cocaine rocks. Smith was transported to the Charles County Detention Center and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was also served the outstanding warrants. PFC B. Moore and PFC D. Graham made the arrest. 
ROBBERY: On Feb. 17 at 12:17 a.m., a man entered a convenience store in the 2400 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf and approached a clerk to allegedly make a purchase. Instead, the suspect removed a handgun from his coat pocket, displayed it to the cashier and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 5’6”- 5’8”, slender build, wearing a black hooded jacket (which partially covered his face), black pants and wearing blue/ white sports gloves. Responding officers arrived in the area, set a perimeter and K-9 team conducted a track which stopped a short distance away. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.

Residential Burglary – On February 14th at 10:41AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5700 block of Caribbean Ct in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00PM on February 13th and 6:00AM on February 14th. Entry was made into an attached garage of residence through an open garage door. No entry is believed to have been made into the main residence. A snow blower, valued around $1500, was reported missing.

Malicious Wounding | Abduction | Domestic Related – On February 17th at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate a stabbing which was reported to have occurred at an address in the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle (22172) between 1:30PM and 2:00PM. The victim, a 32 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a knife and began swinging it towards the victim. The victim attempted to get the knife away from the accused and, in the process of doing so, was stabbed in the back. The accused also inadvertently cut her foot. After the encounter, the victim left the residence and drove to a family member’s house in Fredericksburg where he was then transported to an area hospital for treatment. The accused was also treated for her self-inflicted wound. All injuries are non-life threatening. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 11th at 9:30PM, officers responded to Youth for Tomorrow located at 11835 Hazel Circle Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate an assault.  The victim, a 16 year old female juvenile of Bristow, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused punched the victim in the face. The accused was subsequently arrested, but pulled away from police when they attempted to detain her. The accused was eventually detained and escorted from the building. Once outside, the accused kicked one of the officers and caused minor damage to a police vehicle. Minor injuries were reported.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Assault by Mob – On February 15th at 6:38PM, officers responded to Potomac Mills Mall located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) for a large fight near the food court. Initial reports advised that someone had a gun and that shots were fired. Multiple officers, including officers assigned to the mall, responded to the area and witnessed approximately 20 male juveniles actively fighting. The officers began to disperse the group, at which point, smaller fights began to break out. Officers were eventually able to disperse all parties involved, many of which had fled on foot. While on scene, officers located a victim of the initial fight, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, who reported to them that he was near the food court with friends when they were approached by another group of males. A verbal altercation ensued which escalated physically. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. No other victims were located. Officers spoke to numerous witnesses of the fight and reviewed security footage. No armed suspect or shooting could be confirmed. No property damage, shell casings, or other evidence of a shooting were located. Detectives are continuing this investigation and are working to identify the other parties involved. This incident is not random.

Strong Armed Robbery – On February 14th at 12:50PM, officers responded to the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two males. One of the suspects struck the victim and demanded his property. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency for the victim before fleeing on foot. Minor Injuries were reported. Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded and were able to identify both suspects. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested without incident and the money reported stolen was recovered.

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On February 11th, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the accused in connection to the robbery of the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas which occurred on January 10th. The accused was located at a residence in Winona, West Virginia and was arrested without incident. He is currently awaiting extradition back to Virginia.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] On January 10th at 7:20PM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. Once there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded Oxycodone. The man took the medication and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. On January 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of prescription pills with the execution of a search warrant at 13077 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana and pills were recovered. Also during the search, evidence in reference to the January 10th robbery at the Walgreens on Hoadly Rd was recovered. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect as Timothy MCARTHUR in that case and obtain warrants. The two other suspects arrested in regard to the narcotics investigation were not involved in the robbery.
 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 11th at 1:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Barnabas Trail in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a residential alarm. When police arrived at the home they discovered a basement level window was broken out. No entry sis believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing. 
 
Indecent Exposure – On February 11th at 8:03AM, officers responded to Palm Beach Tan located at 5071 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an indecent exposure incident. An employee of the business reported to police that she observed an unknown man expose himself through a window while he was standing outside of the business.  After exposing himself the man fled from the area prior to police arrival.  The victim had no contact with the man during the incident. A similar incident was reported at the same location on January 16th. Both suspect descriptions are listed below.

**ARRESTS**
 
Abduction with Intent to Defile – On February 11th at 3:54PM officers responded to the 8100 block of Winstead Pl in Manassas (20109) to investigate an abduction. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was approached by an unknown male, later identified as the accused, while walking in the above area. During the encounter, the accused invited the victim to go with the accused to his residence. Upon entry into the residence, the accused locked the door and prevented her from leaving.  The victim was able to flee the residence when she convinced the accused to open the door. The accused was located by police at his residence and arrested without incident.  No injuries were reported.

Armed Robbery – On February 11th at 8:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16400 block of Steerage Cl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to his home to borrow his shoes. The victim refused and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s iPhone. At one point, the accused struck the victim over the head, causing him to lose consciousness. After the assault, the accused fled the home with a small speaker belonging to the victim. Officers were able to identify the accused and locate him at his residence. Following the investigation, the accused, a juvenile, was arrested without incident.

On 2/7/14, Sergeant Assur arrested Marco Nichols, 42 of Spotsylvania for DUI, Unreasonable Refusal, Felony Eluding, Hit & Run, and several traffic offenses. The arrest stemmed as a result of Nichols fleeing from Sgt. Assur after an attempted traffic stop at Harrison Rd. and Leavells Rd.

Narcotics
On 2/9/14, Deputy Papke arrested Christopher Browne, 36 of Spotsylvania for felony Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, felony Possession of Crack Cocaine, felony Possession of Suboxone, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a welfare check on Barkley Dr. and 1st Sgt. Pittman ultimately obtaining a search warrant for a residence.
 
On 2/8/14, Deputy Griffith released Joshua Wright, 18 Austin Appel, 18 and Tyler Dalen, 18 all of Spotsylvania on summonses for Possession of Marijuana on Essex Ct.
 
On 2/7/14, Deputy Buccola arrested Joshua Moorman, 26 of Spotsylvania County for Possession of Marijuana and Driving Revoked.  Joshua was released on summonses.  The arrest was a result of a traffic stop in the area of Plank Rd and Brock Rd.

900 block Princess Anne St, 2/11 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole
personal items from his backpack when he left it unattended for a few minutes. No suspects or

Wawa, 2390 Plank Rd, 2/11 1:20 p.m. An employee reported that a male and female stole food
items and a 12-pack of beer before leaving the scene in a blue vehicle with North Carolina

THEFT: Sometime between Feb. 6 and Feb. 7, someone stole a gas powered tamper from a construction site near Billingsley Road and St. Martha Court. The tamper is a Mikusa model MTX70 and had a gray plastic, bright orange boot. PFC D. Raby is investigating.
BURGLARY: Sometime between Feb. 5 and Feb. 6, someone broke into a church in the 2600 block of Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf and stole a small amount of cash. P.O. I  Smith is investigating.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Attempted Armed Robbery – On February 10th at 9:28PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 13200 block of Nickleson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on February 9th around 12:00PM. The victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements to meet an unknown male in the area above to conduct a transaction. During the encounter, the man displayed a device, similar to an electronic restraint device, and attempted to shock the victim in the stomach.  The victim’s coat was able to block the shock and the victim was able to flee from the area without further incident.  No injuries were reported.  This incident does not appear to be random.

                White male, between 17 & 20 years of age, 5’9”, 210lbs with medium build

Residential Burglary – On February 10th at 6:23PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12600 block of Jedburg Ln of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00AM and 6:10PM.  Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. A handgun and magazines, total valued around $700, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 10th at 2:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4100 block of Southway Ln in Triangle (22172) for a burglary in progress. Maintenance staff reported to police that three unknown males were seen inside of an apartment. Police arrived at the apartment and discovered a rock was used to break a window. Jewelry, multiple gaming consoles, multiple pairs of shoes, and a handgun, total value around $5000, were reported missing. The suspects were not located. This incident does not appear to be random.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 10th at 2:12PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Stone Mountain Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a residential alarm.  When police arrived they discovered a basement level sliding glass door was broken out.  A check of the residence by police revealed entry had not been made into the residence.  No property was reported missing.
 

*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 11:11AM, officers responded to the Asbury United Methodist Church located at 14113 Fleetwood Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at that church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:05PM on February 9th and 10:26AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a basement level window which was pried open. No property was reported missing.
 
*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 9:18AM, officers responded to the Victory Baptist Church located at 12650 Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at the church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30PM on February 9th and 9:16AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a side window which was broken out. Multiple interior doors were also pried open. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
 
*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 9:10AM, officers responded to the Nokesville United Methodist Church located at 12550 Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at the church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:30PM on February 9th and 9:00AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a front window which was pried open. A safe and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 10th at 5:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, he knocked her to the ground where he began to strangle her. The victim was able to get to another room in the residence and contact police. The accused fled the residence prior to police arriving at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused who was eventually arrested later in the day without further incident.

VRE Lot, 404 Princess Anne St, 2/3 – 2/6 6:45 p.m. A commuter reported that an unknown
person stole one license plate from both her vehicle and her father’s vehicle. No suspects or

Gold’s Gym, 2380 Plank Rd, 2/10 5:00 p.m. – 6:40 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown
person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from inside. The investigation is

DUI ARRESTS:
Jose Hernandez Marquez, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI and drinking while driving
in the 3400 block of Fall Hill Avenue.

Gladis Diaz Garcia, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Kenneth Morgan, 63, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging

Armed Robbery | Abduction | Gang Participation *ADDITIONAL ARRESTS – On February 7th, detectives from the Gang Unit were able to identify and arrest two additional suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 7300 block of Miramar Dr in Manassas on January 29th. At this time, detectives have identified and arrested all suspects involved in this incident.

Armed Robbery | Abduction | Gang Participation [Previously Released] On January 30th at 9:30AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 7300 block of Miramar Dr in Manassas (20109) on January 29th around 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 16 year old male and a 15 year old male – both of Manassas, were walking in the area above when they encountered a group of other juvenile males. The group claimed to be affiliated with MS-13 and made threats towards the victims. At one point, the group attempted to pull both victims behind a building in the area. One of the victims was able to get free and fled the area. The remaining victim was assaulted by the group and robbed at knife point.  No injuries were reported. Through the investigation, officers were able to identify and arrest three of the suspects involved in the incident. The investigation continues into the identity and arrest of the additional suspects.

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery | Gang Participation [Previously Released] On February 4th at 4:01PM, officers responded to Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight resulting in a stabbing. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he was standing outside of the mall, near the food court entrance when he was surrounded by a group of other juvenile males claiming to be from MS13. During the encounter, the group assaulted the victim and slashed him multiple times to the upper body with pocket knives. The group dispersed prior to police arriving at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The group of male juvenile suspects was known to the victim. Detectives from the Gang Unit responded and were able to identify three of the assailants, two of which have since been arrested. This is incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Strong Armed Robbery – On February 10th at 3:56AM, officers responded to the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 1480 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 66 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that while outside of the above location, an unknown man approached her from behind, grabbed her and threw her to the ground causing her to strike her head. While the victim was on the ground the man fled the area in the victim’s car. The vehicle was later located unoccupied by police in a surrounding jurisdiction. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On February 9th at 6:23PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15200 block of Illinois Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 43 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he heard the accused arguing with another female resident of the home. The victim attempted to intervene, at which point, the altercation turned physical. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a pocket knife and cut the victim’s finger. Minor injuries were reported. Another resident of the home was able to contact police. The accused fled prior to police arrival at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the accused knocked the victim to the ground and physically held her down. The accused also threw a bowl of cereal at the victim’s 5 year old son. No injuries were reported. The victim was able to contact police. The accused fled prior to police arrival at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

*Residential Burglary – On February 7th at 6:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:22AM and 5:10PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. Jewelry, valued around $100,000, was reported missing.
 
*Residential Burglary – On February 7th at 4:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Covered Bridge Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 3:00PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. *Residential Burglary – On February 7th at 3:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Sunny Brook Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:10PM and 3:25PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level window which was broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On February 8th at 7:06PM, officers responded to a business, American Auto Salvage, located at 14210 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:20AM and 2:00AM on February 4th. Video surveillance revealed two unknown men enter the business through an unsecure door.  Miscellaneous tools and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, valued around $4750, were reported as missing.
Suspect Descriptions:
White male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’0”, 225lbs with a heavy build
               
White male, between 18 & 30 years of age, 5’9”, 160lbs with a thin build
Both men were last seen wearing pullover hoodie style sweatshirts and jeans
 
Attempted Burglary – On February 8th at 11:39PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15900 block of Marlington Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowners reported to police that they were awakened by two loud sounds coming from the front door of their residence.  When police arrived they observed a foot print on the front door and damage to the door frame.  Entry was not made into the residence and no property was reported missing. A suspect description was not reported.
 
Attempted Burglary – On February 7th at 9:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Freda Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 5:00PM and 7:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to break a window to the residence. The homeowner was not at the residence at the time of the incident. Entry was not made into the residence and no items were reported as missing. 
 


**ARRESTS**
 
Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Eluding – On February 9th at 8:29PM, a Prince William County police officer observed a vehicle operating in a reckless manner while patrolling in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Allen Dent Rd in Dumfries (22026).  When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, later identified as the accused, took evasive action crossing multiple lanes of traffic on Jefferson Davis Hwy.  The driver of the vehicle continued into the Princeton Woods development where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot in the area Periscope Pl.  Police pursued the accused on foot and caught up to him not far from where he exited the vehicle. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he struck one of the officers in the face with his elbow. The accused was able to break away and escape into a nearby wooded area.  A police K-9 officer responded and tracked the accused to a residence located in the 3300 block of Vineland Pl in Woodbridge (22026).  Police searched the residence and located the accused hiding in a closet where he was arrested without further incident.  The officer was treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 9th at 3:00AM, officers responded to the 15200 block of Potomac Town Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a report of a suspicious person. When police arrived they found an unknown man, later identified as the accused, sitting on the curb. The accused was found to be disorderly, under the influence of alcohol, and at one point pulled away from officers when they attempted to arrest him. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained and placed inside of a patrol vehicle. While inside the vehicle the accused kicked a window off the track. No injuries were reported.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2014
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
Relax Inn, 1904 Princess Anne St, 2/9 9:40 p.m. Police responded for reports of a fight and
found a 28-year-old man in one of the rooms who had been stabbed multiple times in the back
and also had a head injury. The victim was conscious and was transported by ambulance to
Mary Washington Hospital. The victim’s girlfriend reported that they were both inside a room
when her boyfriend heard a noise from outside and opened the door. When he opened the door,
the victim was immediately assaulted by a black male who had dreadlocks and was wearing a
black hoodie. The witness also saw a second black male standing close by watching. The victim
was able to get away from his assailant and get back inside the room. The two suspects had left
the scene prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY:

Subway, 2213 Plank Rd, 2/8 5:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. A customer reported that an unknown person
stole her purse and used her credit card to make purchases at different locations. The

Hillcrest Apartments, 100 block Hillcrest Dr, 2/8 – 2/9 10:45 a.m. A resident reported that an
unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole items from inside. The investigating
officer discovered two additional vehicles in the parking lot that suffered similar damage and
thefts and three more victim vehicles on Longstreet Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.
1900 block Woodlyn Dr, 2/8 – 2/9 9:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole
tools from a toolbox on his truck. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Attempted Murder | Attempted Armed Robbery *ADDITIONAL CHARGES | ARRESTS – On February 6th, detectives from the Robbery Unit continued the investigation into the shots fired call which was reported in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge on January 23rd. Detectives learned that AGOSTO and two other suspects, identified as SEGARRA and SETTLES, had made arrangements to meet with the victim, a 19 year old man of Woodbridge, in the above area to conduct a transaction. Detectives further learned that the group intended to rob the victim during the encounter. This lead to a physical altercation and further resulted in the suspect, AGOSTO, firing a gun shot. Following the investigation, all three suspects were arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Reckless Handling of Firearm [Previously Released]On January 23rd at 11:30PM, officers responded to the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that a large group was arguing just outside of the apartment complex. During the encounter, one of the parties involved fired a gun into the air and fled on foot. The rest of the group dispersed prior to officers arriving in the area. The witness was able to provide a description of the shooter to police. An officer located the suspect who was armed with the handgun and pointed it towards the officer. The officer challenged the suspect and was able to take him into custody without further incident. No injuries or property damage were reported and the initial call was for a verbal argument only, no physical altercation took place.

Wanted Fugitive – On February 6th at 1:30PM, a Manassas City police officer observed a vehicle, bearing Pennsylvania license plates, in the area of Dumfries Rd and Winterset Dr in the City of Manassas (20110). After running the license plate, the officer discovered that the vehicle was connected to a homicide investigation in Johnstown, PA. The officer activated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver did not stop and a pursuit was initiated which continued into Prince William County where the driver lost control of the vehicle and run up on a sidewalk in the area of the Prince William Pkwy near Tattersall Dr. A passenger in the vehicle remained at the scene and was detained without incident. The driver, identified as Earl Patrick MITCHELL, immediately fled on foot into a nearby residential and wooded area. Officers determined that MITCHELL was the suspect sought on an active warrant by Pennsylvania authorities in connection to the homicide. This information prompted a massive police response and extensive search of the area. After Prince William County Police and Manassas City Police activated a Unified Command Post, officers and K-9’s from Prince William County Police, Manassas City Police, and Virginia State Police, aided by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and aerial support from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter, conducted a seven hour manhunt for MITCHELL. Area schools were notified of the incident and took necessary precautions while officers limited access to certain residential areas where MITCHELL was believed to be in hiding. Shortly after 8:00PM, during a methodical search of a surrounding neighborhood, officers received information that MITCHELL was possibly in the basement area of a home on Mineral Springs Dr. The suspect was believed to have entered the residence through an unsecured rear door. Two Prince William County police officers, a Manassas City police officer, and a police K-9 searched the residence and located MITCHELL hiding in a storage area in the basement of the home. The suspect was apprehended without incident and was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. Two residents of the home encountered the armed suspect and attempted to calm him down for several hours. At one point, MITCHELL became distracted and the men were able to flee the residence. Notification was made to nearby officers who searched the home, ultimately finding MITCHELL. No injuries were reported. The suspect is currently being held in the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center in Manassas. Armed Robbery | Abduction – On February 6th at 7:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. The victim, a 61 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that three suspects forcibly entered his home and assaulted him with an aluminum bat before restraining him with duct tape. Once restrained, the suspects took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and other items before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. *This incident is not random. The investigation continues.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 6th at 10:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Darton Woods Lp in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 3:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry into the home is believed to have been made by someone known to the homeowner. A safe containing miscellaneous property was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 6th at 9:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13600 block of Kingsman Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 6:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Commercial Burglary - On February 6th at 1:30AM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate an alarm activation at the store.  An employee of the alarm company reported to police that video surveillance revealed an unknown man had shattered the glass on the front door of the store.  After the glass was shattered, the man was observed entering the store and grabbing multiple boxes of cigarettes before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.  When police arrived, a K-9 officer was utilized to assist in the search, but was not able to locate the suspect. Multiple boxes of cigarettes, valued around $1,200, were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 7:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 19100 block of Wayne Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to the police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 7:30PM.  There were no signs of forced entry. Multiple computers, a hard drive, miscellaneous jewelry, and undisclosed amount of US currency, total value around $790, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 4:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM and 4:00PM. Entry into the home was made through an unsecured window. An iPads, two iPods, a tablet, and three computers, total value around $5,440, were reported missing.

 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 10:33PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Landover Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 10:15PM, she entered her kitchen and observed an unknown male attempting to open a window. The man fled from the area when observed by the homeowner. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. The homeowner was unable to describe the suspect.

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery | Gang Participation – On February 4th at 4:01PM, officers responded to Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight resulting in a stabbing. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he was standing outside of the mall, near the food court entrance when he was surrounded by a group of other juvenile males claiming to be from MS13. During the encounter, the group assaulted the victim and slashed him multiple times to the upper body with pocket knives. The group dispersed prior to police arriving at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The group of male juvenile suspects was known to the victim. Detectives from the Gang Unit responded and were able to identify three of the assailants, two of which have since been arrested. This is incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested David James Wilson, age 25 of Locust Grove Va. for 1 count of forcible rape of a minor child.  Mr. Wilson was arrested on February 1, 2014 by Orange County Deputies.  Wilson is being held in the Central Virginia Regional Jail under no bond. The investigation is ongoing.  The case is being handled by the Orange County Juvenile and Domestic Court.  There is no further information to be released at this time.

Super 8 Motel, 3002 Mall Ct, 2/4 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. A guest reported that an unknown

Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/4 11:55 p.m. A customer reported that an unknown person
stole items from the center console of her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this

DUI ARRESTS:
3300 block Fall Hill Ave, 2/4 2:00 p.m. A juvenile reported that a red minivan passed her on the
left and struck her vehicle while she was stopped at the light at Wicklow Drive. The driver of
the minivan then left the scene at a high rate of speed. A short time later, a police lieutenant saw
the minivan being driven recklessly on Fall Hill Avenue and crossing Route 1. As officers
attempted to catch up to the minivan, the van crashed and came to a stop on Lafayette Boulevard
near the National Park Visitor Center after causing significant damage to the guard rail and a
sign belonging to the Park Service. The driver of the minivan fled on foot but was located and
taken into custody by Auxiliary Officer Patrick Swartz near the intersection of Belman Road and
the Blue Grey Parkway. Officer Swartz was assisted by Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Deputies Hill
and Phillips. The minivan driver had a facial laceration from the crash and received treatment
from EMS after he was transported back to the scene of the accident on Lafayette Boulevard.
Clarence Wallace, 29, of Spotsylvania was arrested and charged with DUI, two felony counts of
hit and run, eluding, obstruction of justice, and driving on a revoked license. Wallace was
incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $3500 bond.

Residential Burglary – On February 3rd at 6:32PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 19200 block of Mockingbirds Height Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. Use of a Communication System to Facilite Certain Offenses On February 2nd at 5:02AM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation involving inappropriate messages received by the victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Haymarket (20136), from an adult identified as the accused.  The investigation revealed that the victim had met the accused through an online application in 2013. During the course of their relationship, the accused exchanged sexually explicit messages and photos with the victim via his cell phone. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 2nd at 5:07PM, officers responded to the Wegman’s located at 14801 Dining Way in Woodbridge (22191) for the report of a person trespassing on the premises.  Officers arrived and located the person, later identified as the accused, inside the store.  During the encounter, the accused provided officers with false information regarding her identification. Officers were eventually able to identify the accused as Evern SHARPE. Officer’s handcuffed the accused, at which point, she became aggressive toward them. The accused lunged towards and kicked an officer attempting to search her belongings.  When officers attempted to escort the accused from the building, an unidentified man approached the officers from behind in an aggressive manner and attempted to separate the accused from officers. This person was later identified as an acquaintance of the accused, Abdul CONTEH. When CONTEH made contact with officers a struggle ensued. At one point, CONTEH struck an officer in the face.  After the struggle, CONTEH was eventually detained and subsequently escorted from the store, along with SHARPE, without further incident. No injuries were reported.

CRIME SOLVERS OFFERS REWARD IN MAIL THEFT CASES: On Feb. 3 at 7:55 a.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Everett Court in Waldorf for the report of a mail theft that just occurred. Unknown suspects in a dark colored sedan stole outgoing mail from a personal mailbox. Officers canvassed the area but the suspects were gone. The suspect vehicle is described as a large, black, four-door sedan with dark tinted glass and a left front hub cap missing. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer C. BURGLARY: Sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, someone broke into a trailer in the 200 block of Brent Road in Waldorf and removed property. PFC D. Walker is investigating.
OFFICERS RECOVER POSSIBLE STOLEN ITEMS: On Feb. 1 at 3:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Copley Avenue and Stoddert Avenue in Waldorf for the report of a suspicious vehicle. The occupants of a pick-up truck parked their vehicle and went to the backyard of a nearby house. Shortly after, the suspects returned carrying items which they put in the bed of the truck.  PFC C. Harris and Cpl. J. Burroughs observed the vehicle and attempted to stop it at Clark Avenue and Garner Avenue, but the driver fled. A passenger threw something out of the truck and then another passenger jumped out. The vehicle stopped further down the road. Officers approached and found a large bag containing marijuana, drug paraphernalia, lawn equipment, and several tool boxes in the truck.  Canine officer C. Shaw and his canine partner tracked the occupant who jumped from the truck, but the trail stopped several blocks away. Investigation showed the tools and lawn equipment may have been stolen and officers are pursuing leads to identify the owner. Demetrius Antoine McKinney, 31, of Leonardtown; Eric Lamont Figeroux, Jr., 18, of Waldorf; and Amani Joie Brooks, 28, of Clinton were charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs. The driver, McKinney, was also charged with multiple traffic violations. 
MAN CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Bryan Court in Waldorf for the report of an assault between acquaintances. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male inside a townhouse suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with serious injuries. Officers located the suspect, Kenny Earl Morris, 53, of Waldorf, inside the house.   Detectives responded and learned the victim and suspect, who are known to each other, were inside the suspect’s townhouse when they began arguing over a parking space; the suspect claimed the victim parked in his spot. During the argument, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim several times. Morris was arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Det. G. ROBBERY: On Jan 31 at 10 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Lacrosse Place in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the suspect approached the victim as she was getting out of her car, displayed a gun and demanded her purse. The victim refused and the suspect grabbed her purse from the front seat of the car. The suspect is in his late teens to early twenties, 5’6”, 160 lbs., wearing a black and red cap. Officer A. Fenlon is investigating.

VANDALISM:
1400 block Forest Village, 2/3 1:45 p.m. An off-duty officer reported that an unknown person
shot out the windows of two vehicles in the parking lot, apparently using a BB gun. The
investigation is ongoing.
ARRESTS:
Daryl Hatfield, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging him
with failure to appear in court.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 1st at 12:54AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Quade Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an initial report of a stabbing. As officers were arriving in the area, they heard a single gunshot in the vicinity. At that point, several attendees of party began to disperse. Officers were eventually able to determine that an altercation had taken place inside the residence between known acquaintances. During the encounter, one of the persons involved inadvertently cut himself with a knife prompting the initial call to police. Officers were not able to locate the source of the gunfire. No injuries or property damage were reported.
 
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 1st at 3:02AM, officers responded to the area of Otto Rd and Opal Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Caller reported to police that two gunshots were heard in the area. Officers arrived and determined that there was a large party at an address on Otto Rd when an altercation took place. During the encounter, gunshots were heard before the party dispersed. No injuries or property damage wee reported.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 9:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18900 block of Barnette Cir in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that she believed that her home was burglarized on two separate occasions. The homeowner stated that on December 11th, unknown person(s) entered the residence at some point during the day. There were no signs of forced entry and the homeowner did not report the incident to police at that time. The homeowner further reported that on January 27th while away from her residence she was contacted by her alarm company regarding an alarm at the residence. Police responded and found an unsecure door. Police checked the residence without incident and secured the door prior to departing. On February 2nd, an undisclosed amount of US Currency, a purse and miscellaneous jewelry were reported as missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 10:05AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Bjork Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:30PM on January 31st and 9:55AM on February 2nd. Entry was made into the home through rear window which was broken out. Jewelry, an iPad, and laptop, total valued around $1,300, were reported missing.
 

Commercial Burglary – On February 2nd at 7:50AM, officers responded to the Piedmont Golf Club located at 14675 Piedmont Vista Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary.  An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred at 2:30AM when unknown person(s) activated the alarm to the business. Police were not notified when the initial alarm was activated. There were no signs of forced entry.  Entry is believed to have made into the garage area of the business.  Multiple golf carts, valued around $5,600, were found damaged.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 5:10AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Augustus Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 4:40AM, he was in his basement when he heard his dog barking from an upper floor. When the homeowner checked the residence, he observed an unknown man poking his head through the front door. The homeowner yelled towards the man who then immediately fled on foot. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Aggravated Sexual Assault | Abduction – On February 2nd at 12:21PM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 10300 block of Launch Cir in Manassas (20109) on February 1st. The victim, a 63 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, held her against her will and sexually assaulted while both parties were in a vehicle parked in the above area on the night of February 1st. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Sexual Assault – On December 19th [2013] at 2:25PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at the Dumfries Health Center located at 3700 Fettler Park Dr in Dumfries (22026) in September of 2012. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, was a patient at the center in 2012 and under the care of the accused, an Occupational Therapist.  The investigation revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused on at least one occasion while in his care during that time. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 31st in connection to the assault.

Malicious Wounding – On January 30th at 10:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Guilford Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 51 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, was arguing with her roommate when he attempted to calm her down. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and swung it towards the victim making contact with his arm, causing a minor cut. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 2nd at 9:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Cordell Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic disturbance.  The victim, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, entered her residence through a window and hid in a closet located in the kitchen.  When the victim entered the kitchen the accused exited from the closet, grabbed the victim by the neck, and held a broken bottle to her face.  The victim immediately yelled for help and the accused fled from the residence on foot.  When police arrived, they encountered the accused in the above area and arrested him after a brief foot chase through the neighborhood. Minor, non-life threatening injuries were reported.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 4:33AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Evansport Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that she awoke to a sound coming from the basement door of the residence. When the homeowner checked the basement area she observed the basement door opening.  The victim yelled at the unknown person who immediately fled on foot. Officers arrived in the area and were able located the intruder, identified as the accused, not far from the above area where he was arrested him without incident.  No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Narcotics Investigation | Armed Robbery *UPDATE – On January 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of prescription pills with the execution of a search warrant at 13077 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana and pills were recovered. Also during the search, evidence in reference to the January 10th robbery at the Walgreens on Hoadly Rd was recovered. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect as Timothy MCARTHUR in that case and obtain warrants. The two other suspects arrested in regard to the narcotics investigation were not involved in the robbery.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] On January 10th at 7:20PM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. Once there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded Oxycodone. The man took the medication and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Driving under the Influence | Felony Eluding – On February 1st at 1:32AM, a Prince William County police officer attempted a traffic stop in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Neabsco Rd in Woodbridge (22191). The driver ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued down several roads before eventually getting onto Dale Blvd then I-95 southbound. The vehicle continued on I-95S before exiting onto Dumfries Rd. The driver stopped the vehicle near his address on Antrim Cir. Once stopped, the driver and passenger fled on foot. Following a short foot chase, both suspects were apprehended. Officers determined the driver, identified as Derrick MARKS, was under the influence of alcohol.

ROBBERY:
7-Eleven, 3333 Fall Hill Ave, 2/3 12:10 a.m. An employee reported that a male subject entered
the store and approached the counter, then demanded money from the register while implying
that he had a weapon under his shirt. The clerk turned over a quantity of cash and the suspect
fled from the scene on foot. Officers and a police K-9 team searched the area but they were
unable to locate the suspect.
Shortly after 6 a.m. the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from city
officers with a robbery that had just occurred at the 7-Eleven on Lafayette Boulevard located
next to the city/county boundary line. The description of the suspect in the Spotsylvania robbery
matched the description provided by the victim in the earlier crime. Within minutes after law
enforcement arrived in the area of the second robbery, a deputy detained a possible suspect in the
parking lot of a nearby business. That subject has subsequently been identified as the offender in
both cases.
Lantz Day, 36, of Locust Grove was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery in
Fredericksburg and one count of armed robbery in Spotsylvania County. Day was incarcerated
at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

WEAPONS VIOLATION:
300 block Stonewall Dr, 1/31 4:50 a.m. – 8:05 a.m. Police responded at 4:50 a.m. to Stonewall
Drive for a report of shots fired. The caller could not describe the exact source of the sound and
officers were not able to locate anyone or anything suspicious at that time. At approximately 8
a.m. police responded back to Stonewall Drive in Confederate Ridge for additional reports of
gunfire. One caller described seeing an individual walking from one house to another house on
the street and carrying a long gun.
The investigating officer located the possible suspect at her home and determined that she was
the person who fired rounds from a shotgun both of the reported times. On the second occasion
of firing the weapon, she shot through the back door of her sister’s house, which is next door to
her own. Her sister’s house was unoccupied at the time.
Mary Silvey, 54, was arrested and charged with two counts of discharging a firearm in the city,
two counts of reckless handling of a firearm, and one count of felony destruction of property.
She was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The shotgun was
surrendered to police for evidence.
LARCENY:
1700 block Lafayette Blvd, 1/31 – 2/1 5:30 p.m. A visitor reported that an unknown person stole
a GPS and other items from his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 2/1 – 2/2 4:40 a.m. A visitor reported that an unknown person
stole his vehicle from the parking lot. The vehicle was later discovered to have been impounded
by Virginia State Police following a crash in Caroline County. The vehicle was unoccupied
when it was found. The investigation is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
Celebrate Virginia, 2200 block Gordon Shelton Blvd, 2/1 5:30 p.m. An officer patrolling in the
area discovered damage to the fence surrounding the concert venue. The damage appeared to be
from a vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Paul Hayden, 47, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 2300 block of Plank Road.
Cornelius Grayson, 42, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 1300 block of Hanover
Street.

appear in court.
John Njenga, 41, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.
Michael Brooks, 61, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Amanda Campbell, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Kohls.
Brian Wurm, 37, of Locust Grove was arrested for public intoxication.

Wayne Payne, 51, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication after being interdicted.
Mary Smith, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging her
with making obscene and annoying phone calls.
Jules Stewart, 21, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession
of marijuana.
Shawn Williams, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for assault.
Tyronne Fitzgerald, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for grand larceny and assault.

Theft
On 1/31/14, Sr. Deputy Boone arrested Austin Mims, 27 of Spotsylvania for No Insurance, No Inspection, Expired Registration, two counts of Forgery, two counts of Uttering, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Credit Card Theft, and Petit Larceny. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Deputy Boone at Spotsylvania Pkwy and Leavells Rd.
 
On 1/28/14, Sr. Deputy Walsh released Christopher Bruce, 24 of Spotsylvania on a summons for Shoplifting from Wal-Mart. 
 
On 1/28/14, Deputy Friedman arrested Jonathan Winkler, 43 of Spotsylvania for felony Larceny after shoplifting from the Hilltop 7-11. 
 
On 01/27/14, Detective Mills obtained a felony warrant for Possession of Stolen Property on Robert Greene, 30 of Spotsylvania.   Greene was arrested shortly thereafter.
 
On 1/27/14, Deputy Tittle arrested Zachary Bartley, 28 of Caroline for Grand Larceny Shoplifting from BJs.  He was also charged with Possession of Heroin and Paraphernalia. 
 
 
On 1/27/14, Deputy Smeal responded to the 11000 block of Houser Dr., in reference to a report of a subject attempting to steal a vehicle from Austin's Towing impound lot. The subjects fled the scene prior to Deputy Smeal arriving.  Further investigation by Deputy Smeal led to the arrest of Charles Thomas Jr., 25 of Spotsylvania.  Thomas was charged with Destruction of Property and Trespassing.

On 02/02/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested Richard Taylor Jr., 22 of Hague, for DUI after an accident on Bragg Road near Plank Road. 
 
On 01/30/14, Sergeant Carey arrested Matthew Norton, 35 of Spotsylvania for DUI and Driving Revoked at Q-Ball Cafe.
 
On 01/30/14, Deputy Myrick arrested Rebecca Hiett, 24 of Spotsylvania for DUI at Movico Cinemas.
 
On 1/27/14, Deputy Fuller arrested George Bratcher, 45 of Mineral for DUI and Possession of cocaine after performing a traffic stop at Lake Anna Pkwy and Peeks Nursery for failure to maintain lane of travel. 
 
Narcotics
On 2/2/14, Deputy Arndt released Gregory Hall, 37 of Spotsylvania on 3 summonses for Possession of Schedule IV Drug, Driving Suspended and Forged License Plates in the area of Brock Road and Spots lee Drive.
 
On 02/01/14, Deputy Baugh arrested Breonna Jackson, 21 of Colonial Beach, for Possession of Marijuana and Failure to Use a Turn Signal after a traffic stop on Plank Road. 
 
On 1/31/14, Sr. Deputy Wahl arrested Jeone Coleman, 32 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Suspended. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Deputy Wahl at Plank Rd and Wesley Dr.
 
On 1/31/14, Deputy Kelley, assisted By Deputies Hart and S. Norris, arrested Leroy Jackson of Hampstead New York on violations of Possession of Narcotics and Marijuana.  He was further charged with False Information to Law Enforcement.
 
On 1/31/14, Deputy Lamont arrested Thomas Hennessey, 19 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Lamont on Smith Station Rd.
 
On 1/29/14, Deputy Lamont arrested Jeremy Edwards, 22 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Suboxone, Oxycodone, and Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Deputy Lamont in the area of Robert E. Lee Dr. and E. Robert E. Lee Ct.
 
On 01/29/14, Deputy Baugh arrested Najee Barakah, 23 of Spotsylvania, for Driving Revoked, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Schedule IV drug, after a traffic stop on Lee Hill School Drive. 
 
On 01/29/14, Deputy Kelley arrested Brandon Barbour, 23 of Spotsylvania, for Possession of Marijuana, Open Container and Possession of a Concealed Handgun after a traffic stop on Jeff Davis at Mills Drive.
