Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery *ARREST – On June 27th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the initial man involved in the assault which was reported to have occurred in the 4600 block of Evansdale Rd in Woodbridge on June 22nd. The suspect was identified as the accused. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused who was arrested by Fairfax County Police later that evening.

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 22nd at 4:55AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 4600 block of Evansdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was out in front of his residence located in the area above talking with an unknown man. While speaking to that man, he was approached and assaulted by another unknown man. During the encounter, the initial man that the victim was speaking with and a second suspect also began to assault him. At that point, someone in the group took the victim’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before dispersing. In total, three suspects assaulted the victim, none of which were known to the victim. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment where police were contacted. The injuries sustained by the victim were significant but non-life threatening.
 

Armed Robbery *ARRESTS – On June 23rd, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify both men involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries on June 20th. The suspects were identified as the accused men listed below. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against both men who were located and arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force in Centreville on June 30th.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 20th at 2:20PM, officers responded to the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he arranged a meeting with an unknown man in a parking lot in the area above. Once there, the victim was robbed at gunpoint but the suspect and another man. The man took property from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. This incident was not random.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Armed Robbery | Strong Armed Robbery – On June 29th at 3:17AM, officers responded to the area of Dale Blvd and Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was waiting at the traffic light in the above area when she observed an unknown man approach her driver’s side window. The man prevented the victim from rolling up her window, at which point, he reached into the vehicle and grabbed her cell phone. At the same time, an unknown woman opened her passenger side door. The man then attempted to grab the victim’s purse which was located in the backseat. A struggle ensued and the victim was eventually able to drive away. Minor injuries were reported. The suspects were last seen getting into an unknown vehicle and leaving the area. At 5:14AM, officers received a similar call which was reported to have occurred in the same area around 4:20AM. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was stopped at the same intersection when she was approached by an unknown man and woman. The man approached the driver’s side window and attempted to engage the victim while the female went to the passenger side of the vehicle.  Both parties then opened the victim’s doors and took her cell phone and purse before getting in a gray colored vehicle and fleeing the area. When the man initially approached the victim, she observed him holding a handgun. No injuries were reported. Both incidents are believed to be related. The investigation continues.
                Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, between 19 & 20 years of age with a thin build, black shoulder length dreadlocks, and a tattoo on his right arm that extended from his shoulder to elbow

Black female, between 16 & 18 year of age, 5’5”, 140lbs with a thin build and black collar length hair

Malicious Wounding – On June 28th at 7:25PM, officers responded to the area of Anchorage Cove and Olde Port Ln in the Town of Dumfries (22025) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 27 year old man of Lorton, was involved in a physical altercation with another man in the area above. The altercation escalated and, at one point, the victim was cut with an unknown sharp object by the suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The suspect fled on foot prior to police arriving in the area. This incident does not appear to be random.

White male, between 25 & 27 years of age, 5’8”, 160lbs with a medium build, brown hair, and tattoos on his neck

Residential Burglary – On June 28th at 11:27AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 200 block of Broadway St in the Town of Quantico (22134) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 8:30AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A cell phone with charger, total value around $150, was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 28th at 2:09PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3300 block of Yost Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:30AM and 8:30PM on June 26th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A camera, gaming console, internet router, jewelry, and a cell phone, total value around $1,800, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 27th at 1:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16500 block of Royal Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 12:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A handgun, jewelry, and electronics, total value around $10,000, were reported missing.
 
**ARRESTS**
 
Crash – Fatality – On June 24th at 9:02PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Sudley Manor Dr and Gentle Shade Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado was stopped at a posted stop sign on Gentle Shade Dr waiting to make a right turn onto Sudley Manor Dr. Once a vehicle passed, the driver began to accelerate forward. At the same time, two pedestrians began to cross Gentle Shade Dr in a designated crosswalk. The vehicle collided with one of the pedestrians, identified as a 75 year old man. The pedestrian was flown to an area hospital where he died on June 29th as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. At the time of the collision, the driver was charged. The driver remained at the scene of the crash and was unharmed. Alcohol, drug use, and speed are not factors in this collision. Following the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was charged at the time of the collision on June 25th.

Malicious Wounding – On June 29th at 6:06AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Cameron St in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 34 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused repeatedly struck the accused to her face. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The accused was at the residence when officers arrived and was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Malicious Wounding – On June 28th at 11:41AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Garrison Rd in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 55 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, retrieved a meat cleaver and struck the victim in the back of the head with the non-sharp side. In the process, the victim was also cut in the leg. Non-life threatening injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Unlawful Wounding | Reckless Endangerment – On June 28th at 2:51AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Shady River Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. The victim further reported that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and then took their child, a 6 month old girl, outside to a vehicle. The victim was able to get into the vehicle and lock the accused outside. At that point, the accused struck the window multiple times until it broke, shattering glass onto the victim and the child. The victim was eventually able to drive away and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Officers arrived at the home and located the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery – On June 29th at 3:49AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 block of Mathews Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that both accused men listed below were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, one of the men, Jacob VALDEZ-BAUTISTA, retrieved two knives and began to chase the other party. Other residents of the home eventually separated the two men. Officers arrived at the residence and identified both men who are known to one another. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, both parties were arrested.

Felony Hit & Run | Driving under the Influence – On June 29th at 1:13AM, officers responded to the area of Sudley Manor Dr and Rainbow Falls Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2003 Toyota Camry, later identified as the accused, was driving on Ribbon Falls Dr when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered the intersection with Sudley Manor Dr. The accused subsequently struck a vehicle in the intersection and continued to drive away from the area. Officers eventually located the vehicle and the accused in the area of Ballsford Rd and Wellington Dr. The accused was detained without further incident and was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 28th at 4:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4200 block of Devonwood Way in Woodbridge (22192) for a warrant service. Officers had an active warrant of file for accused who was believed to be at the residence. Once on scene, officer made contact and the accused attempted to flee the home. Officers attempted to detain the accused, at which point, the accused pushed the officer and fled to the backyard of the residence. The accused then attempted to climb a fence in the backyard. Officers again attempted to detain the accused. The accused pushed the officer a second time and attempted to flee. Officers were eventually able detain and arrest the accused. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Grand Larceny – Auto – On June 29th at 2:35AM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle in the 12400 block of Cavalier Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a traffic violation. As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle traveled less than a mile before crashing. The driver, later identified as the accused, fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. A police K-9 was used to search for the accused who was eventually located by the K-9. During the investigation, officers determined that the vehicle was stolen and that the accused was wanted on previous charges. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

MONDAY, JUNE 30, 2014 
 
BRANDISHING: 
900 block College Ave, 6/28 3:15 p.m. A resident reported that he was traveling on Route 1 
northbound when he passed a red Dodge pickup that was going well below the speed limit. 
When the victim passed the truck, the driver honked his horn and flashed his headlights, then 
followed the victim as he turned onto College Avenue. At the traffic light at College and 
William, the driver of the pickup stepped out of the vehicle and walked toward the victim’s car 
with a gun in his hand. The victim drove through the red light and the pickup followed him, but 
the victim was able to get away from the pickup in the downtown area. The suspect was 
described as a white male in his 40s or 50s, with a stocky build, gray hair and glasses. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 
800 block Dixon St, 6/27 8:30 p.m. A 27-year-old Stafford resident reported that he was riding 
his bicycle on Dixon Street near the Blue Grey Parkway interchange when a white Toyota passed 
him and its passenger shot him with a BB or pellet gun. The victim was struck and injured in his 
arm. The suspect left the scene headed southbound on Route 2. The investigation is ongoing. 
3100 block Cowan Blvd, 6/28 2:15 p.m. A Linden resident reported that an unknown person 
shot holes through a protest sign she was holding on Cowan Boulevard at the I95 overpass. The 
damage appeared to be from a BB or pellet gun. The investigation is ongoing. 
1700 block Lafayette Blvd, 6/28 11:15 p.m. A 24-year-old resident reported that he was outside 
smoking a cigarette when an unknown black male approached him from behind and cut his arm, 
possibly with a utility knife. The suspect then fled the scene and the victim was transported to 
the hospital for treatment of his injury. The victim reported that the suspect was wearing all 
black clothing and had dreadlocks. The investigation is ongoing. 
ASSAULT: 
500 block Caroline St, 6/27 2:15 p.m. A resident reported that he was walking down the street 
when a white male in his late teens punched him in the head after he refused to give the young 
man a cigarette. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
Motts Run Landing, 6600 River Rd, 6/26 – 6/27 5:00 a.m. An employee reported that an 
unknown person stole the lock from the gate. No suspects or witnesses at this time. Santa Fe Carwash, 1610 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 6/27 12:30 p.m. A customer reported that an 
unknown person stole a watch from his vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
100 block Ashby St, 6/27 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
stole his vehicle from his property. The vehicle is a cream 2000 Cadillac El Dorado without 
license plates. The investigation is ongoing. 
The Melting Pot, 1618 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 6/28 6:45 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that 
an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from inside the car. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1000 block Cadmus Ct, 6/28 – 6/29 5:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
her 2011 Honda CRV that was parked in front of her house. The suspect also stole loose change 
and other items of value from the vehicles belonging to two other family members. The 
investigation is ongoing. 
1000 block Featherston Ct, 6/29 5:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person stole a purse and loose change from one vehicle and emptied the contents of the glove 
box from another vehicle belonging to the home. The investigation is ongoing. 
1000 block Albert Rennolds Dr, 6/28 – 6/29 7:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown 
person stole the loose change from his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Municipal Lot, 900 Sophia St, 6/29 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. A Stafford resident reported that an 
unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole two purses and other items of value 
from inside the car. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 6/29 1:00 – 3:20 p.m. A patron reported that an 
unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her wallet from inside the car. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Expo Center, 2371 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 6/29 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. A vendor reported that an 
unknown person stole a bayonet from his unmonitored table. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time. 
VANDALISM: 
2530 Espresso, 400 Princess Anne St, 6/27 – 6/28 12:30 p.m. The owner reported that an 
unknown person damaged the front windows of the business. The investigation is ongoing. 
800 block Forest Village, 6/28 – 6/29 7:40 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
slashed two tires on her vehicle and damaged the windshield. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time. DUI ARRESTS: 
Joshua Sessoms, 27, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 2000 block of Carl D Silver 
Parkway. 
Thomas Bragg, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 600 block of Lafayette 
Boulevard. 
Aaron Scheibe, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana in the 
3900 block of the Blue Grey Parkway. 
Jose Garibay, 39, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI and providing false identification to law 
enforcement in the 3100 block of Cowan Boulevard. 
ARRESTS: 
Jacob Brooks, 32, of Locust Grove was arrested for public intoxication and obstruction of 
justice. 
Moris Bojoquez, 47, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark. 
Villalta Bojoquez, 32, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark. 
Salvador Machula, 33, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark. 
Jenry Morales, 50, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing on the riverbank after dark. 
Patricia Simmons, 63, of Fredericksburg was arrested for making a false report to police.

Indecent Exposure – On June 25th at 11:15AM, officers responded to investigate an indecent exposure which was reported to have occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Oak Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) on June 24th around 5:00AM. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was jogging in the area above when a vehicle stopped along the roadway. The driver said something to the victim, at which point, she approached the vehicle and observed the unknown male driver expose himself. The victim attempted to reach for her cell phone and the driver fled. No physical contact was made.
                Suspect Description:
Hispanic male, between 28 & 32 years of age with a thin build, short black hair, and a clean shaven face
Last seen wearing a white t-shirt – no further description
 
Vehicle Description:
Older model, teal, 4-door hatchback – possibly a Honda                                                               
 
Residential Burglary – On June 24th at 11:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 19000 block of Queen Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on June 17th and 10:00PM on June 24th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A chainsaw and air gun, total value around $250, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 25th at 8:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18500 block of Kerill Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 7:15AM and 7:30PM, someone attempted to enter the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing. An unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway in front of the home was entered and a wallet was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 24th at 5:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Bentley Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between an unknown time on June 21st and 5:30PM on June 24th, someone attempted to enter the residence through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made and no property was reported missing.

Arrests Made, June 16, 2014 – June 22, 2014
 
 
Theft
On 6/22/14, Deputy Londeree arrested Joseph Peters, 24 for Felony Shoplifting. 
 
On 6/19/14, Deputy Tavarez arrested Christopher Sealy, 36 of Spotsylvania for felony Shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
 
On 6/19/14, Deputy J. Love arrested Wallace Jackson, 29 of Caroline for Credit Card Theft and Credit Card Fraud at WAWA on RT2.
 
On 6/17/14, Deputy Plunkett arrested Andrey Henderson, 20 on a warrant out of Colonial Heights Md., for Fraud.  Henderson was behind the library on Salem Church Rd when Deputy Plunkett stopped him.
 
Assault
On 6/22/14, Deputy Collins arrested Robert Hardy II, 34 for Assault. 
 
On 6/21/14, Deputy Griffith arrested Xavier Ralph, 18 of Spotsylvania for Assault and Battery and Possession of Marijuana in the 10400 block of Chesterwood Drive.
On 6/19/14, Detective Harper arrested 49 year old Edward Alsop of Spotsylvania County for felony Aggravated Sexual Battery and misdemeanor Assault and Battery,  These charges are the result of an investigation of an incident that occurred at Indian Acres Campground on Sunday 6/15/14, involving an assault of a minor on the campgrounds. 
 
DUI
On 6/21/14, Deputy Kelley arrested Robert Brown, 59 for Driving Revoked/DUI Related and Habitual Offender.  Robert was stopped on Rt. 1 for Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel.
 
On 6/20/14, Deputy Love and Sr. Deputy Vasquez arrested John Weedon III, 25 of Spotsylvania for DUID and Possession of Heroin on a traffic stop at Harrison Rd and Plank Rd.
 
On 6/19/14, Sgt. Wahl arrested Lacy Nelson, 22 of Spotsylvania for DUI in the 6600 block of Charmed Way.

On 6/20/14, Sgt. Wahl charged Martin Newell, 22 of Locust Grove with Possession of Marijuana on a traffic stop at Courthouse Rd and Leavells Rd.
 
On 6/17/14, Deputy Kelley arrested Rodney Ellis, 18 for Possession of Marijuana, Driving Revoked, and Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel and served on a Capias for Dangerous Drugs out of Stafford.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Attempted Armed Robbery – On June 25th at 12:24AM, officers responded to the KFC located at 1307 Devils Reach Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was an employee of the business and was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot which she was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim told then men she did not have any money, at which point, the men ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the area. No injuries were reported. The victim was unable to describe the suspects.
 
Commercial Burglary – On June 24th at 2:33AM, officers responded to the Verizon Wireless Store located at 16708 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front class door was broken out. The business was checked and no suspects were located inside. Numerous cell phones, total value around $5,000, were reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).
 
Commercial Burglary – On June 23rd at 8:00AM, officers responded to the Hanadco Tobacco Shop located at 10374 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on June 2nnd and 7:55AM on June 23rd.The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through the front door which was forced open. No property was reported missing.
  
**ARRESTS**
 
Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 22nd at 8:30PM, officers were working a concert assignment at Jiffy Lube Live located at 7800 Cellar Door Dr in Bristow (20136) when a patron approached police to report a sexual assault. The victim, a 49 year old woman of Colonial Beach VA, reported to police that she was attending the concert and fell asleep on the lawn area. When she woke, an unknown man was lying beside her and touching her inappropriately. The accused walked away from the victim and was eventually detained by police on an unrelated manner for being publicly intoxicated. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25, 2014 
 
BRANDISHING: 
 
1600 Forest Village, 6/24 6:45 p.m. Three men, all 19 or 20 years old, reported that another man 
brandished a weapon at them during an argument outside one of the apartments. The three ran 
back inside an apartment belonging to a female friend and a neighbor called police. The suspect 
was still on the scene when officers arrived and he was detained without incident. The weapon, 
an AK-47, was found hidden inside a duffel bag in the wooded area behind the building. 
Clarence Johnson, 22, of Unionville was arrested and charged with brandishing a firearm and 
possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Johnson was incarcerated at the Rappahannock 
Regional Jail under no bond. 
LARCENY: 
Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. An employee 
reported that an unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse from inside. 
A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. An employee 
reported that an unknown person stole a quantity of cash from her unlocked vehicle. A suspect 
has been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 
ARRESTS: 
Cody Flick, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery. 
Demetrius Byrd, 23, of King George was arrested for domestic assault and battery. 
William Barrett, 42, of Colonial Beach was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart. 
Kip Ramos, 38, of Colonial Beach was arrested for public intoxication. 
Dalton Chekos, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for misdemeanor child abuse. 
Paul Brown, 29, of Stafford was arrested on a warrant from Virginia Beach charging him with 
probation violation.

                                                                                **INCIDENTS**                   
 
Armed Robbery – On June 23rd at 5:06PM, officers responded to Veterans Parks located at 14300 Veterans Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was playing basketball on the courts at the park when he observed two vehicles pull into a nearby parking lot. The victim further reported that three individuals exited both vehicles and approached him. During the encounter, one of the suspects assaulted the victim while another pulled out a knife. At one point, the group took the victim’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before dispersing. Minor injuries were reported. The victim was only able to describe the group as consisting of five black males and one black female. The vehicles were described as a black Mercedes and a tan or gold Toyota sedan, possibly a Corolla. This is incident does not appear to be random.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 22nd at 9:39PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Nexus Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she returned to her residence and observed an unknown man run out of the home through the front door. The residence was checked and no other suspects were located. No property was reported missing; however, several rooms were ransacked. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

                Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’10” with a thin build
                Last seen wearing a light blue shirt – no further description  
 

**ARRESTS**
 
Malicious Wounding – On June 24th at 1:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7500 block of Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 41 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused choked the victim and, at one point, both parties fell to the ground. When the victim fell to the ground, she struck her head on a kitchen counter causing an injury. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: On June 22, during the overnight hours, someone removed about 19 mailboxes on Valley Road, Idlewilde Farm Place, Eller Street, and Warren C. Eller Drive and threw them in the woods or left them on the ground. Most of the mailboxes had little damage and it did not appear they had been struck. Officer C. Chamblee is investigating. 
THEFT: Sometime between June 18 to June 19, someone stole four tires and rims from a car parked in the 11700 block of Vernon Road in Waldorf.  PFC K. Newman is investigating.

VANDALISM: 
Pulliam’s Auto Center, 411 Lafayette Blvd, 6/17 - 6/18 6:30 a.m. The owner reported that an 
unknown person punctured the tires of three customer-owned vehicles. It was later discovered 
that a number of vehicles on the Prince Edward and Charles Streets had suffered the same 
damage. The investigation is ongoing. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Craig Dunklebarger, 51, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 200 block of Sophia Street.

Rape | Sexual Assault Investigation *ARREST – On June 18th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit were able to identify the suspect involved in the rape which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cl in Woodbridge on May 28th. Detectives were able to link the accused to the incident after DNA evidence was analyzed. Following the extensive investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused, identified as Prince PERKINS. The accused was located and arrested without incident after leaving a residence located in the 16600 block of Galt Ct in Woodbridge on June 18th.  Search warrants were subsequently executed at that address and another residence located in the 13400 block of Marumsco Dr.

Rape | Sexual Assault Investigation [Previously Released] – On May 28th at 6:10AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cl in Woodbridge (22191) around 4:30AM. The victim, a 34 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was asleep in her residence when she awoke to an unknown man inside her bedroom. The suspect was armed with a handgun and raped the victim before leaving the residence. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Two children were inside the apartment at the time of the incident and were unharmed. During a canvass of the apartment complex, neighbors reported to police that a suspicious male was seen on multiple occasions lingering in the area. A sketch of that person was completed. The investigation continues.

Narcotics Investigation *ADDITIONAL ARREST ANNOUNCED – The below listed suspect was also arrested on May 9th in connection to the narcotics investigation conducted by detectives of the Street Crimes Unit. The accused was arrested without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Narcotics Investigation – On May 9th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were in the 2600 block of the Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) when a drug transaction was observed in a parking lot between two vehicles. Detectives approached the vehicles and identified the parties involved. During the course of the investigation, 11lbs of marijuana, other suspected narcotics, evidence of narcotics distribution, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. A search warrant was also executed at a storage locker in Fairfax County during the investigation. The below arrests were made without incident.

CALL FROM CITIZEN LEADS TO ARREST OF THEFT SUSPECT: On June 18 at 5:52 a.m., a citizen called 911 to report a suspicious male looking in the windows of cars in the area of Marshall Road in Waldorf. Officers responded but did not locate the man. About an hour later, another resident called from Gerry Court and said a man was going through cars. Officers H. Burgess, P. Alvarez and B. Clark responded. Officer Alvarez found the man hiding in someone’s backyard and the man was taken into custody. Officers determined the suspect broke into at least 12 cars and stole cell phones, money, clothing, jewelry and other miscellaneous items. All of the stolen goods were located and recovered. Travis Demetrius Smoot, 29, of no fixed address was charged with theft. Officer H. Burgess is investigating. 
WOMAN APPREHENDED AND CHARGED IN FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On June 17 at 1:39 p.m., officers responded to the Master Suites Motel at 2228 Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing. Investigation showed the victim, age 19, was involved in an argument with an acquaintance, Anissa Latavia Henson, 21, of Fredericksburg, VA. During the altercation, Henson pulled out a pair of scissors, stabbed the victim multiple times and fled from the room. The victim was flown to a hospital where she was admitted with injuries that could be life threatening. Officers canvassed the area and quickly located Henson at a nearby fast food restaurant where she was trying to change her clothes. She was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Det. B. Buchanan is investigating.

Residential Burglary – On June 18th at 3:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6700 block of Swindon Pl in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that an unknown person(s) made entry into their attached garage through an open window. Once inside, the suspects rummaged through the homeowner’s vehicles and then attempted to enter the main residence which triggered the alarm. The suspect(s) immediately fled on foot. No items of value were reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the intruder(s).

Malicious Wounding – On June 17th at 11:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 48 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and cut the victim on his face. The injury appeared to be minor. After the assault, the accused contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Wellington Woods, 1704 Lafayette Blvd, 6/16 – 6/17 8:00 a.m. A maintenance employee 
reported that an unknown person broke into the coin change machine in the laundry room and 
stole a quantity of cash. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
7-Eleven, 905 Lafayette Blvd, 6/17 2:30 p.m. The clerk reported that an unknown male stole 
two bottles of beer from the cooler and ran from the store. The investigation is ongoing. 
Hughes Home, 100 Caroline St, 6/17 – 6/18 3:30 a.m. An employee reported that an unknown 
person stole her purse from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Matthew Logan, 32, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 300 block of Jefferson Davis 
Highway. 
ARRESTS: 
Shanae Northam, 23, of Stafford was arrested for child neglect and felony shoplifting from 
Walmart. 
Searria Jones, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for child neglect and possession of marijuana. 
Daniel Howdershelt, 25, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery and 
breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

FIRST-DEGREE ASSAULT: On June 17 at 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the 6200 block of Archdale Place in La Plata for the report of shots fired. The victim told officers Darren Richard Downs, 41, of La Plata, threatened him with a handgun during an argument. The victim was able to run from the house at which time he heard gunshots. The victim was not injured and called police. Officers arrived and observed Downs standing on the front porch of the house with the gun still in his hand. Downs was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree assault. 
POLICE K9 OFFICER AND POLICE DOG RECOVER STOLEN COPPER: On June 13 at 11:50 a.m., officers responded to a business in the 14900 block of Foster Lane in Hughesville for the report of a theft in progress. Construction workers at this location observed a white male in the woods to the rear of the business; the man appeared to be moving copper. Upon being detected, the suspect fled. The construction workers attempted to set up a perimeter while the owner contacted the sheriff’s office. Investigation showed the suspect had moved unused copper piping from the rear of the business and placed it in the woods. It is believed the suspect was attempting to return to the business to steal more items when he was observed. The owner of the business reported that items have been stolen over the last week but this was the first time he called the police. Cpl. R. Cuyler of the K9 Unit, along with her K9 partner, Atos, tracked the area and recovered the stolen copper, valued at about $2,000, on Foster Lane near Gallant Green Road. Investigators are working to identify the suspect.
SUSPECTS CAUGHT BREAKING INTO VACANT HOME: On June 13 at 9:01 p.m., officers responded to the 9200 block of Rock Lynn Circle in Waldorf for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers found four subjects inside a vacant newly constructed home. The subjects were arrested. Further investigation revealed the suspects had drugs in their car. Officer D. Proctor is continuing the investigation. 
THEFT: Sometime between May 13 to June 15, a Coca Cola sign was stolen from a 15 foot pole in front of a store in the 1900 block of Liverpool Point Road in Nanjemoy.  PFC. D.  Raby is investigating.
BURGLARY REPORTED: On June 14, a homeowner reported money was stolen from his home in the area of Woodland Drive in Indian Head. There were no apparent signs of forced entry. POI. J. Micklus is investigating.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/RRE: On June 13, someone discovered racial slurs spray painted on the asphalt of Chapel Point Road near Locust Grove Drive in La Plata. Officers canvassed the area and recovered evidence. Cpl. R. Snyder is investigating.
BURGLARY: Sometime between June 12 and June 13, someone broke into a business in the 14900 block of Woodville Road in Waldorf and stole about $10 in coins. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sometime on June 13, unknown suspects threw large pieces of concrete through the front window of a building in the 12100 block of Rock Point Road in Newburg. PFC W. Halt is investigating.

Residential Burglary – On June 16th at 10:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Ann Scarlet Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 3:30PM on June 13th. The investigation revealed that screens on two windows of the home were found damaged. Jewelry valued around $2,600, was reported missing.
 
Attempted Burglary to a Church – On June 16th at 1:59PM, officers responded to the Montclair Tabernacle Church located at 16120 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers checked the church and discovered a door handle on a rear door was damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the building and no property was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 16th at 7:48AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Ferrara Tr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary is believed to have occurred around 5:00AM. The investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Brandishing a Machete – On June 16th at 6:27PM, officers responded to the area of Irongate Way and Winchester Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly conduct. The victims, a 30 year old man and a 28 year old man – both of Manassas, reported to police that they worked for a local tow company and were towing a vehicle from the area above when they were approached by the vehicle’s owner, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and retrieved a machete from his vehicle. The accused then reportedly stood in front of the tow truck and repeatedly struck the hood with the machete. At that point, the victim’s contacted police and officers detained the accused. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Felony Child Neglect/Abuse | Driving under the Influence – On June 13th at 12:30PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and River Ridge Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving four vehicles. Officers arrived at the location and identified one of the drivers involved in the collision as the accused. During the investigation, officers determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. Officers further learned that at the time of the crash, there was a 1 year old child in the backseat of the vehicle. 2000 block Charles St, 6/16 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Two neighbors each reported that unknown 
persons stole the hanging flower baskets from their porches. No suspects or witnesses at this 
time. 
Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 6/16 7:20 p.m. – 9:50 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown 
person broke a window on her vehicle and stole several items of value from inside. No suspects 
or witnesses at this time.

CHILD FATALLY STRUCK BY CAR: On June 15 at 4 p.m., officers responded to the 10000 block of Lyles Place in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Investigation revealed the victim, Nathanial J. Penn, 1, was struck by a motor vehicle that was backing up. The family of the child immediately took him to Fire/EMS Station 12 at Westlake where paramedics began rescue efforts. The child was transported to the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center where staff continued resuscitative efforts. The child later died as a result of the injuries he sustained after being struck. At this time, it does not appear that drugs, alcohol or speed were contributing factors. Cpl. J. Hopkins of the CCSO Traffic Operations Unit is investigating. 

BODY FOUND IN RIVER THAT OF MISSING GIRL: On June 15 at  2 p.m., the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police and the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were alerted by recreational boaters of a body located on the Charles County Side of the Wicomico River at 17400 block of Rock Point Road, Newburg. It was later determined the victim was Faith Lee, 11, who was reported missing on June 13 in Saint Mary’s County where it appeared she accidentally drowned after being pulled under water in a strong current. The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The Saint Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office will continue their investigation.

On 6/13/14, Deputy Papke arrested Niiadotey Newbold, 18 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stemmed from a check of a suspicious vehicle at the Peace United Methodist Church on Maple Grove Dr. Niiadotey was released on a summons.
 
On 06/13/14, Deputy Buccola arrested James Cody Campbell, 24 from Bumpass, in the 8000 Block of Crismond Lane for Possession of Schedule III Narcotics, Trespassing, and numerous Felony and Misdemeanor Warrants through Stafford County. 
 
On 6/12/14, Deputy Friedman arrested Joshua Williams, 26 of Spotsylvania for Obstruction of Justice, Possess Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Stolen Property as a result of a search warrant on Summerfield Ct.  Deputy Friedman also arrested Donovan Cannedy, 29 of Spotsylvania for Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon as a result of the search warrant. 
 
On 6/9/14, Deputy Polliard charged Robert Durante, 29 of Fredericksburg with Possession of Marijuana near RT1/I95 over pass. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop for tinted windows.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On June 15th, the suspect involved in the aggravated malicious wounding incident which occurred on June 12th at a residence in the 1700 block of Pine Shadows Way in Woodbridge, turned himself into police without further incident.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Strangulation [Previously Released] – On June 12th at 9:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Pine Shadows Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. At one point, the accused stuffed toilet paper into the victim’s mouth. The victim was eventually able to leave the home and contact police. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.
                                                                                               

Malicious Wounding | Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 7:27PM, officers responded to the 13800 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the area above when she encountered an unknown man. During the encounter, the man assaulted the victim and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was cut in the arm by a sharp object during the assault and was treated at an area hospital. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
                Suspect Description:
Hispanic male, between 28 & 33 years of age, 5’8”, 165lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, and black hair
                Last seen wearing light gray hooded sweatshirt, pants, and aviator glasses
 
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 15th at 12:13AM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Haversack Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a large party complaint. As officers were dispersing the group, several gunshots were heard in the area. Officers checked the area and located multiple shell casings laying in the road on Haversack Ln. No shooter was located and no injuries or property damage were reported. 
 
Indecent Exposure – On June 15th at 12:32AM, officers responded to the Old Hickory Golf Club located at 11921 Chanceford Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was an employee of the golf club and was cleaning up after a reception when she encountered an unknown man. During the encounter, the man exposed himself to the victim. The victim went to notify her supervisor and the man left the area. No physical contact was reported.

Black male, between 25 & 35 years of age, 6’0”, 250lbs with a heavy build, black shaggy hair, and facial hair

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 5:27PM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was with the three juvenile acquaintances in the area above when one of the juveniles demanded the victim’s iPod. When the victim refused, one of the juveniles reached into his pocket and removed it. When the victim attempted to get the iPod back, another juvenile assaulted him before all three fled on foot. The victim was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to locate all three suspects. Following the investigation, all three juveniles were arrested.

Felony Child Neglect – On June 13th at 2:45PM, officers responded to the 4300 block of Kentland Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a found a child. A caller reported to police that a 3 year old boy was found on their front lawn unsupervised. Officers were able to determine that the child lived a residence on the same street. Contact was made at the residence but no one was home. The investigation revealed that the accused, a known acquaintance, left the child at the home unattended. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The child was released to another family member.

Narcotics Investigation – On June 14th at 3:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Kentmore Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a possible marijuana grow operation. Officers made contact at the residence and located several marijuana plants in the backyard of the property. Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. As a result of the search, 27 marijuana plants and evidence of distribution were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2014 
 
SHOOTING: 
300 block Forest Village, 6/15 5:25 a.m. Police responded for two male subjects who had 
reportedly shot each other inside an apartment. When officers arrived on the scene, both victims 
had been transported to Mary Washington Hospital by private vehicle. 
 
The investigation revealed that one man was inside the apartment with the female resident when 
the second man arrived. The first man was shot in the head, but his injury was non-fatal and he 
was released from the hospital after a few hours. 
 
The second man was shot in the upper thigh. His injury required surgery but it is not believed to 
be life-threatening. 
 
The weapon used by the second man was recovered by a Fredericksburg Police K-9 who 
discovered it after tracking to an area not far from the apartment complex. 
 
The weapon used by the first suspect was recovered at a home in Spotsylvania County. It was 
determined during the investigation that the female resident took the weapon away from the 
crime scene after the shooting. 
 
The first suspect, Charles Lewis, 25, of Richmond was arrested and charged with aggravated 
malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm during the 
commission of a violent felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Lewis was 
incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. 
The second suspect, Antonio Perkins, 26, of Fredericksburg faces the same charges as Lewis 
upon his release from the hospital. 
 
The female, Lolita Slaughter, 25 was arrested for obstruction of justice and as an accessory after 
the fact for malicious wounding. Slaughter was also incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional 
Jail. The investigation is ongoing. 
 
WEAPON VIOLATION
1000 block Bakersfield Ln, 6/13 9:40 p.m. A resident reported that he was returning to his house 
from walking his dog when he saw a white male in his late teens rummaging around in the back 
seat of his car. The resident confronted the male and the suspect turned around, dropping a box 
of ammunition that he had taken from the vehicle. The suspect then ran from the scene and the 
vehicle owner chased him on foot. At one point during the chase, the vehicle owner took out his 
handgun and deliberately fired it into the ground. The suspect continued to flee and he has not 
been identified. The vehicle owner, Cesar Covarrubias, 28, was arrested for reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm within the city limits. Covarrubias was incarcerated at the 
Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $2500 bond and his weapon was seized for evidence.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 
1800 block Princess Anne St, 6/14 11:00 p.m. A 52-year-old city resident reported that he was 
walking home when an unknown male rode past him on a bicycle and struck him in the face with 
a piece of lumber. The victim was found by bystanders on the ground, and he had a large gash 
over one eye and abrasions on his arms and legs that were consistent with him landing forcefully 
on the pavement. He was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment 
of his injuries. The victim was unable to describe his assailant. The investigation is ongoing. 
LARCENY: 
900 block Sylvania Ave, 6/12 – 6/13 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
a pair of binoculars and some loose change from his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses 
at this time. 
Wash and Fold, 503 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 6/13 10:40 a.m. A patron reported that an unknown 
person stole a $5 bill that she had set down while attending to her laundry. No suspects or 
witnesses at this time. 
Cowboy Jack’s, 2312 Plank Rd, 6/13 10:00 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. An employee reported that an 
unknown person broke a window on her vehicle and stole her purse and wallet from inside. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1300 block Caroline St, 6/13 – 6/14 7:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole 
a lawn ornament from her yard. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1700 block Franklin St, 6/15 5:30 a.m. A city resident saw two black males rummaging through 
two bags near Cossey Pond. The two males fled from the scene on bicycles and they left the 
bags behind, so the concerned citizen picked them up and called police. It was discovered that 
the bags had been stolen from a vehicle on Franklin Street, but all the contents were intact and 
returned to their owner. The investigation is ongoing. 
Plumb Magic, 1217 Lafayette Blvd, 6/14 – 6/15 9:00 a.m. The business owner reported that an 
unknown person broke a window on an employee’s vehicle and stole the GPS from inside the 
car. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
1400 block Littlepage St, 6/14 – 6/15 11:00 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
stole a basket of change from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
900 block Brompton St, 6/14 – 6/15 3:30 p.m. A resident reported that unknown persons stole 
two bicycles from the side of her house. One of the bikes was later recovered in the 1400 block 
of Franklin Street. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
Funland, 1351 Central Park Blvd, 6/15 6:30 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown person 
stole his cell phone. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
VANDALISM: 
500 block Hanover St, 6/12 – 6/13 8:00 a.m. The president of Tree Fredericksburg reported that 
unknown persons damaged or destroyed several trees on Hanover and Princess Anne Streets. No 
suspects or witnesses at this time. 
300 block Gates St, 6/14 11:15 p.m. Police responded for a fight involving a large group of 
people but the participants had left the scene prior to police arrival. One resident reported that 
both front windows on her vehicle were smashed out during the altercation. The investigation is 
ongoing. 
VEHICLE TAMPERING: 
1400 block Franklin St, 6/12 – 6/13 8:50 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person 
entered both her vehicles and rummaged through the contents of the glove boxes and consoles. 
No suspects or witnesses at this time. 
DUI ARRESTS: 
Roy Bogart, 40, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1600 block of Jefferson Davis 
Highway.

Hit & Run | Grand Larceny Auto – On June 12th at 7:12AM, officer responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Willowood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a report of a vehicle that crashed into a residence. Officers arrived at the home and discovered a vehicle which had crashed through the garage. The driver of the vehicle fled prior to police arriving in the area. No injuries were reported by anyone inside the residence. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the vehicle was stolen from the 3100 block of Fennegan Ct. Officers also learned that other vehicles in the immediate area had been tampered with. No suspect(s) was seen in any of the incidents.
 
Commercial Burglary – On June 13th at 1:04AM, officers responded to the Quik Stop located at 18020 Main St in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an alarm. Police responded and located a side glass door to the business which was shattered. Officers conducted a search of the business and no suspect(s) was located. Cigarettes, valued around $230, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
 

Commercial Burglary – On June 13th at 4:18AM, officers responded to the Shell Service Station located at 7025 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. A caller reported to police that they were delivering newspapers when they discovered the glass door to the above business was broken out. Officers conducted a search of the business and no suspect(s) was located. Cigarettes, valued around $1,600, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 12th at 12:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Hoffman Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on June 11th and 9:00AM on June 12th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a shed on the property. Two motorcycle helmets and two pairs of sunglasses, total value around $800, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 12th at 4:45AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Masthead Tl in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:10PM and 11:17PM on June 11th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a window which was broken out. A gaming console, TV, and laptop, total value around $1,700, were reported missing.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 12th at 6:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Hume Ct in Bristow (20136) after receiving information that a missing juvenile was there. Once at the home, officers located the juvenile, identified as the accused. During the encounter the accused kicked one of the officers to the lower body in an attempt to flee. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.

DETECTIVES LINK ROBBERY IN CHARLES COUNTY TO ROBBERY IN GREENBELT/ CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD: Detectives assigned to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have linked the suspect in the robbery of a Papa John’s pizza carryout on Smallwood Drive on May 12 to a robbery that occurred on May 10 in Greenbelt, MD. In both cases, the suspect wore similar clothing, including a mask, and was armed with a machete. Images of the suspect were caught on surveillance cameras in both cases. Abduction | Strong Armed Robbery – On June 11th at 12:51PM, officers responded to the 7100 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 79 year old man od Manassas, reported to police that he was walking through the Festival of Manassas Shopping Center when he was approached by an unknown woman driving a dark colored SUV. The woman offered the victim a ride to his residence. Once inside the vehicle, the woman drove the victim around the area refusing to let him get out. At one point, the woman took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before dropping him off in the area above. No injuries were reported.

Abduction  | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On June 11th at 10:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Irongate Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 35 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a large knife and dragged the victim to the community pool area where the assault continued. The accused then dragged the victim back to the residence. A neighbor exited their home and the accused fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Officers searched the area and located the accused in a nearby shopping center where he was detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On June 11th at 3:57PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Pinetree Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. A caller reported to police that they observed an unknown man engaged in a verbal altercation with a woman, later identified as the victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge. During the encounter, the man assaulted the victim and, at one point, forcibly dragged her into the residence. Officers arrived at the home and made contact with both parties who are known to one another. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the man, identified as the accused, was arrested without further incident.

Sheriff Roger L. Harris announced the arrest of two suspects in a series of larcenies which occurred in the Lake Anna area of Spotsylvania County during May and June.  Detectives utilized photographs from the flyer, which was disseminated via the Sheriff’s Office website, to aid in the identification of the suspect.  Daryl Sloan, 22 of Orange, was developed as a suspect.
 
On 06/10/14, working together with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Detectives from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office, CID Division responded to Orange County.  Daryl Sloan and Eric Repass, of Orange, were located together in a vehicle by Orange County Deputies.  Detectives were able to recover items that were stolen from the Breaking and Entering offenses in Spotsylvania County and the pair was arrested.   
 
Sloan and Repass were charged with 4 counts each of Breaking and Entering and 4 counts of conspiracy to commit Breaking and Entering in Spotsylvania County.  The warrants were served on the subjects while they were in custody in Orange County and both subjects were remanded to jail. They were also charged with being in possession of stolen property by Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies.

CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD FOR INFORMATION IN ROBBERY CASE: Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the identities of two males who robbed a man. On June 8 at 8:40 p.m., the victim was riding a bike on a path near Stingray Court and Tilapia Court when two males approached. The suspects showed a gun and demanded money. The victim complied. The suspects also stole the victim’s wallet, phone and bicycle.  POI J.R. Pogar is investigating.
RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT/ASSAULT: On June 8 at 3:42 a.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Prince Edward Road in White Plains for an assault. Investigation showed the victim was having a party when several uninvited people showed up. The group was told to leave at which time someone in the group hit the victim and then fired shots into the air. The suspects fled. No one was seriously injured and officers are pursuing leads.  PFC R. Brooks is investigating.
BURGLARY: Sometime between June 5 to June 6, someone broke into a shed in the 2700 block of Moran Drive in Waldorf and stole a silver colored Suzuki 1000R. The motorcycle has chrome wheels and a black decal. Officer C. Chamblee is investigating.
SOBRIETY CHECK POINT: On June 5 between 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., officers assigned to the Traffic Operations Unit and the Town of La Plata police conducted a sobriety check point in the 5700 block of Washington Avenue in La Plata. A total of 637 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. One DUI arrest was made and one person was charged with possession of drugs. Officers wrote 9 citations, 5 warnings and 7 repair orders.

**ARRESTS**
 
Crash – Fatality – On June 2nd at 6:37PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 2300 block of Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2000 Nissan Xterra was stopped at a red traffic signal in the above area waiting to make a right hand turn. At the same time, a pedestrian, identified as an adult woman, was waiting at the corner to cross Opitz Blvd. As the driver began to make the turn, the pedestrian stepped into the path of the vehicle and was struck. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she died as a result of her injuries on June 9th. The driver remained at the scene of the crash and was unharmed. Alcohol, drug use, and speed are not factors in this collision. Following the investigation, the driver of the vehicle was charged at the time of the collision on June 2nd. Additional charges may be filed.

Malicious Wounding – On June 7th at 2:35PM, officers responded to Splashdown Water Park located at 7500 Ben Lomond Park Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault involving a Park Ranger. The victim, 64 year old man, reported to police that he was a park ranger for the county and was attempting to remove a patron, identified as the accused, from the park for being intoxicated. During the encounter, the victim was bit by the accused. Minor injuries were reported. While being detained the accused began to spit towards another park employee and act disorderly. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On June 6th at 2:45PM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and University Blvd in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault stemming from a road rage incident. The victim, a 40 year old man of Stevensville MD, reported to police that he was side by side with the driver of another vehicle, later identified as the accused, at the intersection above. The two became involved in a verbal altercation over the driving behavior of the accused. At one point, the accused exited his vehicle and retrieved a pipe from the rear of his truck and approached the victim. During the encounter, the victim’s vehicle window was shattered. The victim then exited his vehicle and the two parties began physically fighting. Officers arrived and separated the two men. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Attempted Armed Robbery – On June 10th at 9:24AM, officers from the Dumfries Town Police Department responded to the parking lot of the 7-11 located at 18075 Fraley Blvd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a suspicious person. A caller reported to police that a man was seen sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot wearing gloves and appearing to write a note indicating a robbery. Officers responded and located the vehicle and identified the man as the accused. Detectives from the Prince William County Police Robbery Unit were able to determine that the accused had planned to commit a robbery at the Bank of America located near the 7-11. In the vehicle, detectives further located other property used to commit robberies. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On June 6th at 12:34AM, officers were on patrol in the 8200 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) when they encounter a man, later identified as a the accused. The officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the accused and attempted to detain him. The accused then attempted to flee which then lead to a struggle. During the encounter, the accused knocked one officer to the ground and struck another officer to his chest. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary – On June 10th at 5:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1200 block of Swan Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:35PM and 5:40PM while he was visiting a neighbor’s residence. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. No property was reported missing. 
 
Residential Burglary – On June 8th at 8:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9900 block of Henrico St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:30PM and 8:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Two laptops and a TV, total value around $1,800, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On June 9th at 9:00AM, officers responded to Gainesville Family Practice located at 14370 Lee Hwy in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an attempted burglary. Employees reported to police that between 5:30PM on June 6th and 8:00AM on June 9th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the business through a rear door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the business and no property was reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 6th at 2:09PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Elliston Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary. A neighbor reported to police that at around 1:30PM, she heard the sound of glass breaking. No suspects were seen. Officers checked the exterior of the home and discovered a broken basement level window. No property was reported missing.

Narcotics Investigation [Previously Released] On April 29th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving crack cocaine. As a result of the investigation and a subsequent vehicle stop, a search warrant was conducted in the 7300 block of Cushing Rd in Manassas (20109). During the vehicle stop, crack cocaine was located. During the execution of the search warrant, an undisclosed amount of US Currency and items consistent with the distribution of crack cocaine were also located. Following the investigation, the accused were arrested without incident.

Residential Burglary – On June 8th at 9:33PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of G St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on June 6th and 8:45PM on June 8th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through a window which was forced open. No property was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 6th at 6:59PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5700 block of Rhode Island Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM on June 5th and 2:28AM on June 6th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. The homeowner’s vehicle, a 2002 Nissan Altima, was reported missing. The vehicle was later recovered in Prince George’s County Maryland unoccupied.

On 6/8/14, Deputy Fuller arrested Stephanie Bennett, 49 of Florida on DUID, Possession of Marijuana and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License.  This was from an accident at Courthouse Road and Jefferson Davis Highway.

On 6/5/14, Senior Deputy Gall arrested James Barnett, 58 of Spotsylvania for DUI resulting from an accident on Massaponax Church Rd.

On 6/3/14, the CID Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant on room 169 at the Econo Lodge. Deputy Hamilton arrested Percy Carter, 57 from Spotsylvania, for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine.

Strong Armed Robbery | Gang Participation – On June 5th at 6:52PM, officers responded to the 16700 block of Chowning Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 14 year old male juvenile and a 15 year old male juvenile – both of Woodbridge, were involved in a physical altercation with a group of known juveniles. During the encounter, the assailants took property from the victims after assaulting them. The group dispersed prior to police arriving in the area. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. During the investigation, officers learned that the assailants were local gang members. Detectives from the Robbery Unit and Gang Unit responded and were able to identify five of the assailants involved in the altercation. Following the investigation, all five suspects were arrested.

Residential Burglary – On June 5th at 12:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM and 11:50AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a bedroom window which was broken out. A laptop, an iPhone, an iPad, DVD player, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, total property valued around $1,000, were reported missing. During the canvass, officers obtained a description of two suspects and a vehicle reportedly in the area at the time. Officers located a vehicle occupied by two suspects matching the description provided. Detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to connect the two suspects, both identified as juveniles, to the burglary. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested without further incident. During the arrest, one of the suspects was found to be in possession of marijuana.

The homeowner reported to police that 8:21PM and 8:35PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a window which was forced open. It is unknown if entry was made into the home. No property was reported missing.

MAN CHARGED WITH STABBING ACQUAINTANCE: On June 4 at 9:21 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of a stabbing. The suspect, Elias Rosas, 37, of White Plains, stabbed a male acquaintance during an argument. The victim, 41, was transported to a hospital where he was admitted with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening. Rosas was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Det. C. Shankster is investigating.
ROBBERY: On June 4 at 10:40 p.m., a man answered an ad on Craig’s List regarding the sale of a motor bike. The man was directed to meet the seller at a house on Torpedo Court in Waldorf. The victim arrived and was approached by two males who said the motor bike was in the back. The victim walked to the back and was confronted by a group of males who pulled a gun and assaulted him. The victim’s acquaintance saw the robbery and called 911. The suspects fled. Officers canvassed the area and detectives are pursuing leads. The house where the robbery occurred is vacant. CRIME SOLVERS OFFERING CASH REWARD IN TWO ASSAULTS/ROBBERIES:Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the identities of the suspects involved in two robberies that occurred on June 2 in the 3400 block of Promenade Place in Waldorf.  The first case occurred at about 8:10 p.m. when a lone male was approached by a group of males - described as teens or young adults - who showed a gun and demanded money. One of the suspects patted the victim down and stole his cell phone. They fled to a gray car that was parked nearby. A short time later, a man was taking trash to a dumpster when he was approached by a group of males who demanded money. The victim refused and the suspects pulled out a gun and assaulted the man. A neighbor heard the noise and yelled and the suspects fled. The man, 24, was treated for injuries. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DISCOVERY OF FUGITIVE AND ILLEGAL DRUGS: On June 2 at 3 p.m., Officer K. Syvertsen initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of Charles Street in La Plata after a police TAG reader indicated a nearby car was connected to a wanted person. Officer Syvertsen approached the driver who gave a false name. After further investigation, officers learned the driver’s true name as Jonathan Alan Strait, 25, of Hagerstown. He had marijuana in his pocket and was arrested. The passenger, Austin Wesley Holly, 20, of Hagerstown, was found to be in possession of marijuana too. A computer check revealed he had an open warrant in West Virginia. Strait was charged with possession with intent to distribute illegal drugs and Holly was charged with possession of marijuana and fugitive from justice. 
MAILBOXES DAMAGED: On June 1 between 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., someone damaged mailboxes in the Hughesville area. Most of the mailboxes were on Pale Morning Court and Amberleigh Lane. Cpl. J. Timko is investigating.
MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE DRUGS:  On June 1 at 4:30 p.m., Officers R. Kimble, T. Smith and C. Roberts were conducting an investigation of drug dealing at a house in the 10800 block of Billingsley Road in White Plains. Upon further investigation, officers discovered a large amount of marijuana with a street value of $3,000 which was packaged to sell. David Wayne Coffren, Jr., 20, of White Plains was charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On June 4th at 11:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7900 block of Saddlehorn Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 51 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper body. Officers arrived and detained the accused without further incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Felony Child Neglect – On June 3rd at 7:16PM, officers responded to the Costco parking lot located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a child neglect. A caller reported to police that two small children were observed in a vehicle without an adult present. Police and Fire & Rescue crews responded and were able to get into the vehicle. The children, a 2 year old girl and an 11 month old boy, were checked and determined to be unharmed. The mother, identified as the accused, exited the store and approached police. The children were determined to have been alone for about 20 minutes. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The children were released to a family friend.

Felony Reckless Endangerment – On May 29th, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit began an investigation into a child neglect involving a 9month old girl. The investigation revealed that the child sustained an accidental injury to her leg sometime between May 22nd and May 26th at a location in Prince William County. The parents, identified as the accused individuals below, were determined to have knowledge of the injury to the child. On May 29th, the parents took the child to a hospital in Fairfax County to be assessed. Staff informed the parents that due to the nature of the injury, Child Protective Services would be contacted. At that point, the parents left the hospital without received care. Police were contacted and officers located one of the parents, NELSON, and the child at their residence located in the 2900 block of Wythe Ct in Woodbridge. The child was transported to an area hospital to receive proper care for the injury. Due to the lack of timely medical care needed for the child’s injury, both parents were arrested following the investigation on June 3rd.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Indecent Exposure – On June 3rd at 4:27PM, officers responded to the area of Darbydale Ave and Worchester Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 40 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was on a PRTC bus when she observed an unknown man who was seated near her expose himself. The victim attempted to get the bus drivers attention. At that point the man stood and exited the bus in the area above. No physical contact was made between the man and the victim. Officers checked the area and did not locate the man. Officers were able to retrieve video images of the suspect from the bus.

Residential Burglary – On June 3rd at 12:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 11:20AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an open window. A gaming console, camera, iPod, iPad, jewelry, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, total property valued around $3,100, were reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On June 3rd at 10:03AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Forest Glen Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM on June 1st and 8:00PM on June 2nd. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked window. No property was reported missing. Damage inside the home was estimated around $4,700.
 
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On June 1st at 2”53AM, officers responded to Sally Beauty Supply located at 8395 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers arrived at the business and found the front glass door was broken out. No entry is believed to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).

On 5/31/14, Deputy Matthew Jones arrested Frederick Murray, 24 of Woodbridge for Possession of a Concealed Weapon (handgun), Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Driving Revoked, and Child Endangerment.   Lindsie Cook, 21 of Woodbridge was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Scheduale I/II, Child Endangerment, Concealed Weapon (handgun), and Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to operate her vehicle.  The incident stemmed from a traffic stop for defective equipment at Courthouse Commons.
 
On 5/28/14, Deputy Chad Polliard arrested Jeffery Dotson, 39 of Rappahannock for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The incident stemmed from a traffic stop at 4800 Market St.

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling *ARRESTS – On June 2nd, detectives from the Violent Crime Bureau arrested Gary WILLIAMS following the investigation into the shooting which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2300 block of W. Longview Dr in Woodbridge on May 28th. The arrests were made without incident at a residence in the 14400 block of Westminster Ln in Woodbridge. At the time of arrest, WILLIAMS, was found to be in possession of marijuana. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence where additional marijuana, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, and a firearm were recovered. An additional individual, Jasmine MARTELL, was also arrested in connection to the narcotics and firearms possession.
               
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling [Previously Released] On May 28th at 11:43PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of W. Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The homeowner reported to police that someone fired multiple rounds at their residence. No injuries or other property damage were reported. This incident is not random and appears to have stemmed from a previous altercation involving the homeowner and the suspects. **INCIDENTS**
 
Residential Burglary – On May 30th at 6:36PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9700 block of Native Rocks Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 1:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. Multiple cameras with accessories, a TV, laptop, cell phone, jewelry, and a gaming console with games, total value around $9,600 were reported missing.
 
 
Armed Robbery Investigation – On April 22nd at 1:17AM, detectives from the Robbery Unit began an investigation into an armed robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Papa Johns located at 14513 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 23 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was an employee of the business and was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim back inside the business. Once inside, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Following the extensive investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as the accused. While investigating this incident, detectives further learned of an incident that occurred at the Papa Johns located at 13560 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) the night prior on April 21st. In that incident, a man, also later identified as being the accused, attempted to enter the business. An employee reported to police that the accused was wearing all dark clothing and was carrying an object similar in appearance to a handgun. The doors to the business were locked and the accused eventually left the area prior to police arriving in the area. Detectives obtained warrants for the accused who was arrested in Washington D.C. on June 2nd.

Carnal Knowledge – On June 2nd at 12:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Whitings Brigade Dr in Woodbridge (22192) in an attempt to locate a reported missing juvenile. Officers arrived at the residence and located the juvenile, identified as a 14 year old girl, and the accused, a known acquaintance. Through the investigation, officers learned that the accused sexually assaulted the victim while at the residence. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

**INCIDENTS**
 
Malicious Wounding – On June 1st at 10:58PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Beaumont Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 36 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pulled out an unknown sharp object and cut the victim in the chest. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. The victim was flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Strangulation – On May 31st at 9:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1300 block of East Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault which occurred earlier that morning. The victim, an adult woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and choked her. The accused was not located. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Strong Armed Robbery – On May 31st at 11:48PM, officers responded to the 3000 block of Sigel Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was delivering pizza to a residence in the above area when he was approached by a large group of unknown men. During the encounter, the men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. The victim was only able to describe the men as black males.
 
Strong Armed Robbery – On May 30th at 4:18PM, officers responded to the 4200 block of El Dorado Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 28 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the he was delivering Chinese food to a residence in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, the men forcibly took the food from the victim before fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The victim was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle. The investigation continues.
 
Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On May 30th at 11:30PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Woodside Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men and an unknown woman. During the encounter, the group assaulted the victim and went through his pockets. The group then fled on foot. No property was taken. Minor injuries were reported. The victim was unable to describe the assailants. 
 
Commercial Burglary – On May 31st at 7:22AM, officers responded to Ann Moncure Park located at 4450 Waterway Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM on May 30th and 7:10AM on May 31st. The investigation revealed that entry was made in a concession stand through a door which had been forced open. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.
 
Residential Burglary – On May 30th at 7:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3000 block of Jenny Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on May 21st and 7:00PM on May 30th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a bedroom which had been forced open. A laptop and jewelry, total value around $4,800, were reported missing.
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 30th at 1:11PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Palton Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 10:30PM on May 29th and 11:00AM on May 30th, an unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
 
 
Attempted Residential Burglary – On May 29th at 3:37PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Newgate Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 9:30AM and 1:30PM, an unknown man attempted to enter the home through a rear sliding glass door. A neighbor reported to the homeowner that an unknown man was seen climbing onto the rear deck of the residence. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. The neighbor was unable to describe the man.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On June 1st at 9:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Longbow Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, choked her. After the encounter, the accused left the residence prior to police arriving at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused. The accused was located and arrested later in that evening without further incident.
