Spotsylvania Sheriff's deputies were forced to shoot a suspect's pit bull as it attempted to attack him during a drug arrest Thursday night.
The incident happened last night as deputies were in the process of arresting 24-year-old Josh Williams who was wanted on warrants for aggravated malicious wounding.
In addition,Williams is charged possession with intent to distribute cocaine and PCP. The items were found during the arrest.
Williams is held without bond.
The investigation continues.
