Evidence Could Link Gadhafi's Son to Recruiting Mercenaries

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) - The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court says the Libya has evidence linking a son of deposed ruler Moammar Gadhafi to recruiting mercenaries and executing people.
Luis Moreno-Ocampo told The Associated Press Thursday Libyan prosecutors have evidence backing the court's reports that Seif al-Islam Gadhafi supervised and helped bring in foreign mercenaries, as well as evidence linking him to executions.
He said the Libyan government has until the end of April to present its case to the court to push for its demand to try him.
He was captured last year in Libya after a civil war that toppled the Gadhafi regime. The international court wants to try Gadhafi's son and has asked the Libyan authorities to surrender him.
Libya says it will challenge the court's jurisdiction.
