Fed Ex is ahead of the curb with new federal fuel efficiency standards and ahead of their own goal.
Its' Vice President of Environmental Affairs, Mitch Jackson says they were shooting for a 2020 timeframe. The vehicle fleet is over 16% more efficient than it was six years ago.
Jackson says they have done it by putting the most efficient vehicles on the longest routes and replacing traditional gas vehicles with all electric. He thinks their plan can work for multiple commercial companies, down the road.
