A former military intelligence analyst and defense contractor with a top security clearance is convicted in Louisa County this week.
Louisa County Commonwealth's Attorney Rusty McGuire says more than 400 images of child pornography were found on Joseph L. Bell's computer when a search warrant was served at his Louisa residence.
Bell was working for a defense contractor in northern Virginia when the FBI was about to execute a search warrant on his home last winter. Just before it could be served, Bell moved to Louisa. In addition to finding the images on his computer, Mcguire says there were three young children living in the home. A day after Bell's arrest there, one of the young children admitted that Bell sexually assaulted her.
McGuire says Bell is sentenced to 30 years in prison this week and will pay 18-thousand-dollars in restitution. He calls it a day for justice for Louisa CSI and all residents of the Commonwealth.
