FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS

Falmouth Bridge, 2700 block Caroline St, 5/5 11:00 pm – 5/6 2:00 am. A Spotsylvania
resident reported that after leaving a party in Stafford County, he walked across the Falmouth
Bridge and waited under the bridge for a friend to give him a ride home. While under the
bridge, the victim reported that three male subjects jumped him from behind and assaulted him
with a broken beer bottle. The victim’s wallet was also stolen. The victim received a severe
laceration to his shoulder during the incident and was taken to the hospital by his friend who
arrived to pick him up shortly after the assault. The victim could not provide any descriptions
of the three assailants. The investigation is ongoing.
OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE:
2500 block Plank Rd, 5/5 10:40 pm. An officer patrolling in Central Park observed six
motorcycles operating at a high rate of speed on Central Park Boulevard headed toward Plank
Road. One of the bikes pulled over into the parking lot of Regal Cinemas while the officer
caught up with the remainder of the group at the red light at Central Park Boulevard and Plank
Road. He ordered the five drivers to turn off their ignitions and he began collecting drivers’
licenses and information from the operators. As he was doing so, two of the motorcycle
drivers ignored the officer’s orders and fled from the scene, heading eastbound through traffic
on Plank Road.
While the officer was issuing speeding tickets to the remaining drivers, the 911 Center received
reports that a speeding motorcycle had crashed on the ramp leading to Interstate 95
northbound. Officers responded to that location and found the motorcycle lying well into the
grassy area beside the ramp and the driver on the ground. Witnesses reported that the driver
lost control as he swerved from the travel lane on Plank Rd onto the exit ramp, while the
second fleeing motorcycle continued on without stopping. The driver of the wrecked bike was
checked by rescue squad personnel for minor injuries but he did not require transport to the
hospital. Walter Petrone, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for obstruction of justice, reckless
driving, and driving in violation of a restricted license. Petrone was incarcerated at the
Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
500 block Woodford St, 5/5 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. A resident reported that she and her husband
returned home and found a window screen removed and a window opened that had been closed
when the couple left the house. There was evidence on the sill that an attempt had been made
to gain entry through the window, but the attempt was not successful. The investigation is
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/6 9:30 am. A Maryland resident reported that his credit
card was used to make several purchases at the store, even though the card never left his
possession in Silver Spring. The investigation is ongoing.
Dermatology Center, 2216 Princess Anne St, 5/4 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. An employee reported
that a window on her vehicle was broken while the vehicle was parked in the lot. No suspects
or witnesses at this time.
Paragon Gymnastics, 1410 Central Park Blvd, 5/6 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. An employee reported
that her vehicle was scratched and damaged by a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this
James Chance, 23, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 3100 block of Fall Hill Ave.
Steven Johnson, 38, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 2900 block of Plank Rd.
Charles Ayers, 18, of Stafford was arrested for DUI and underage possession of alcohol in the
900 block of Princess Anne St.
Joshua Morris, 29, of Bridgewater was arrested for DUI in the 500 block of Jefferson Davis
Michelle Vasseur, 27, of Woodbridge was arrested for DUI in the 1900 block of Princess Anne
Frank Harzold, 40, of no fixed address was arrested for making harassing phone calls.
Chloe Nagy, 20, of Richmond was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Chellina Brown, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Stewart Reed, 48, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
Bond Thompson, 53, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and possession of
alcohol after being interdicted.
Gordon Bruce, 46, of Marshall was arrested for public intoxication and domestic assault and
Tammy Williams, 41, of Stafford was arrested on a warrant from Virginia State Police
charging her with conspiracy to distribute schedule I,II narcotics.
Vernon Wilson, 26, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication and possession of
Travis Connelly, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging
him with indecent exposure.
Ashley Spellman, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Bryan Wilkerson, 35, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging
him with larceny.
