A Fredericksburg man is arrested after reporting that he was stabbed near the Central Park Townhomes Tuesday morning.
Fredericksburg Police Spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe says emergency crews treated Dante Rojas for his wound and took him to the hospital. Police launch a massive search for the alleged stabbing suspect, but then the investigation brings new information. The 23 year old apparently stabbed himself. They believe he may have done so to avoid going back to jail immediately. Rojas faced an outstanding warrant for domestic assault and battery and a pending probation violation.
Rojas now also faces a charge for filing a false police report and is back in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
