A Fredericksburg man was killed this morning in a two car crash along I-95 in Prince William County.
State Police report the crash happened at 11:15 a.m. along the southbound lanes near Exit 152.
A Nissan Versa ran off the left side of the road and struck the Jersey wall's crash attenuator. The impact caused the Versa to become airborne, overturn and land on a Honda Civic.
The driver of that car, 37-year old Matthew Wilkerson, died at the scene.
The male adult driver and adult female passenger in the Versa were flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
All southbound lanes were shut down for about an hour with one lane reopened about an hour after the crash. The remaining lanes are expected to reopen by 4 p.m.
The cause of the crash remain under investigation at this time.
