WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2013
UPDATE TO BRANDISHING:
The suspect in a brandishing incident, reported on December 2, was identified with the assistance of the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office and was interviewed by the investigating officer on December 3. Justin Ruongrat, 28, of Spotsylvania was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor brandishing of a firearm and released by the magistrate on a $2500 bond. During the interview Ruongrat also turned over a firearm, which was secured as potential evidence.
SEARCH WARRANT:
1900 block Howard Ave, 12/4 5:30 a.m. A search warrant was served at a residence in the 1900 block of Howard Avenue. Two occupants of the home, Travon Thomas, 23, and Davante Thomas, 21, were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Both Thomas subjects were incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
1900 block Woodlyn Dr, 11/1 – 12/3 9:45 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole camping equipment from his storage locker. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
FRAUD:
McDonalds, 1701 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 11/25 – 12/3 2:30 p.m. A manager reported that an unknown person used counterfeit currency to pay for meals. The investigation is ongoing.
ARRESTS:
Jeremiah Davis, 24, of no fixed address was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Robert Baker, 62, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing and public intoxication after being interdicted.
Curtis Vaughn, 50, of Colonial Beach was arrested for violation of a protective order.
Ashley Marshall, 23, of Stafford was arrested for malicious wounding
