Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2013
BANK ROBBERY:
Union First Market Bank, 725 Kenmore Ave, 11/9 11:35 a.m. Police responded to a 911 call
reporting a robbery. The caller reported that a male suspect presented a note to a teller and
implied that he had a weapon. The teller turned over a quantity of cash to the suspect and the
suspect fled the scene on a bicycle. The suspect was described as a black male in his late 40s or 50s wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, sunglasses, and dark pants or sweatpants. There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. The investigation is ongoing.

FELONY HIT AND RUN:
200 block Hanover St, 11/9 7:20 p.m. Several witnesses called 911 and reported that a gray
Buick 4-door struck and damaged five unoccupied cars parked on Hanover Street before its
driver fled the scene on foot. The witnesses further reported that bystanders attempted to detain
the passenger of the Buick until police arrived, but the subject was belligerent and made threats
to harm those who called for police. The first officer on the scene located the Buick’s passenger
at the corner of Hanover and Caroline Streets. The subject refused to comply with the officer’s
commands and briefly attempted to flee until the officer deployed a Taser and took the subject
into custody. Lantz Day, 36, of Locust Grove was subsequently arrested for obstruction of
justice and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $3500 bond. A police K-9
ran a track to search for the driver of the Buick, but that subject has not yet been identified or
located. The driver was described as a light-skinned black male wearing a gray hooded
sweatshirt. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
1000 block Heritage Park, 11/6 – 11/8 10:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
stole the license plates from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1500 block Stafford Ave, 11/8 6:00 p.m. – 10:40 p.m. A visitor reported that an unknown person
stole her guitar from her unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Hard Times Café, 314 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 11/10 10:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. A patron reported
that an unknown person stole her iPhone from the bar. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 11/10 – 11/11 1:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown
person stole a quantity of cash from her vehicle after it was towed for a violation. The
investigation is ongoing.
Planet Fitness, 1267 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 11/11 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. A patron reported that an
unknown person stole a quantity of cash and a credit card from his locker. The investigation is
ongoing.
VANDALISM:
Pizza King, 1964 Plank Rd, 11/8 9:40 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person
slashed a tire on his vehicle and broke a tail light. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Fredericksburg War Memorial, 599 George St, 11/9 – 11/10 8:00 a.m. A neighbor reported that
an unknown person spray painted graffiti on one of the columns of the memorial. The
investigation is ongoing.
VRE Lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 11/12 5:50 a.m. An officer discovered three vehicles in the lot
with broken passenger side windows. The investigation is ongoing.
DUI ARRESTS:
James Brownback, 26, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 1700 block of Carl D Silver
Parkway.
Christopher Edwards, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 2200 block of Jefferson
Davis Highway.
Juan Carlos Hernandez, 30, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 3300 block of Fall Hill
Avenue.
ARRESTS:
Michael Talley, 55, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.
Coleen Abella, 39, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing.
Daniel McIntosh, 40, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.
Richard Trest, 52, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Henry Ross, 20, of Arlington was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and violation of
the noise ordinance.
Jason Nemeth, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.
Thomas Moore, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.
Christian Perkins, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.
John Drakeford, 23, of Stafford was arrested on a warrant from Caroline charging him with petit
larceny.
Christina Frezza, 32, of Stafford was arrested for obtaining money by false pretenses, possession
of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a schedule I,II narcotic.
Michael Carpenter, 20, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Blake O’Brien, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Lowes.
Venetia Pierre, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Stan Lapp, 31, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.
Ziteareia Parker, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Anna Rea, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana
