300 block Cannon Cir, 5/20 5:45 a.m. Officers responded to the report of a burglary in progress.
The resident reported an intruder in her home and upon arrival officers found a screen door had
been cut to gain access to the home and a window and vase also damaged. A description of the
suspect was given and a short time later the suspect was located and taken into custody without
incident. Lauren Tyler, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for burglary. Tyler is currently being
held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
1700 block William St, 5/19 – 5/21 4:45 p.m. The homeowner reported that an unknown person
entered the residence and sections of pipe from the basement were stolen. Nothing else seemed
to be disturbed. No suspects or witnesses at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/18 – 5/21 11:45 a.m. The loss prevention officer reported a
quick change scam. The two suspects are described as black males driving a white four door
vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, 2336 Plank Rd, 5/21 11:00 a.m. A customer reported that
his I-phone was stolen while shopping in the store. The phone was able to be located through its
tracking device at a residence on Lafayette Blvd. Jorge Esparza Lorea, 35, of Spotsylvania was
arrested for grand larceny. He is currently being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail pending
a bond hearing.
1900 block Woodlyn Dr, 5/21 1:00 p.m. A resident reported her I-Pod missing. No suspects or
witnesses at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
3200 block Fall Hill Ave, 5/21 1:25 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that the driver’s side
window had been shattered on his vehicle. A wallet and a small zip pouch were stolen from a
purse located in the vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VRE Lot G, 300 block Prince Edward St, 5/21 5:50 p.m. An officer responded to the report of
damage to the front fender of vehicle that was reported to have been caused by another vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
900 block Railroad Ave, 5/21 8:30 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person had
shattered the window of her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Frank Smith, 57, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
Abigail Dillow, 26, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
James Michie Jr., 20, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Kierra Parker, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
