Fredericksburg Police Department Incident Reports

TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2013
ROBBERY:
The Pool Company, 2035 Plank Rd, 5/24 1:30 p.m. An employee reported that a young male
entered the store and demanded money. The suspect made threats to shoot the employees
although he did not overtly display a weapon. The employees turned over a quantity of cash and
the suspect ran from the store. A customer chased the suspect for a short time on foot but lost
sight of him near the Lone Star restaurant. The suspect was described as a white male in his late
teens or early 20s wearing jeans and a green and white striped shirt. The investigation is
ongoing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
200 block Harris St, 5/28 3:45 a.m. A 54-year-old driver for Virginia Cab reported that he
responded to Harris Street to pick up a fare. While waiting in front of the house, the driver heard
a knock on his passenger window and saw a male standing outside the vehicle with a gun in his
hand. The unknown male demanded that the driver turn over his money, but instead the driver
pulled the cab quickly away from the curb and called police. The driver also reported that a
second male was standing several feet away from the armed man when the incident occurred.
The victim described the first suspect as a black male in his late teens or early 20s wearing a gray
and white striped hoodie. The victim described the second male as a black teenager wearing a
white hoodie. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects. The call for the
fare was later determined to be bogus. The investigation is ongoing.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
2700 block Caroline St, 5/24 3:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania teenager reported that he was fishing
near the Falmouth Bridge when a younger teen approached him and shot him in the back with a
BB gun. The victim ran from the scene when it appeared the suspect intended to shoot him
again. The victim further reported that he did not know the suspect and did not have any
altercation with him prior to the incident. The suspect was described as a 13-15 year old white
male, heavyset, wearing yellow pants and a black hoodie. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
700 block Lee Ave, 5/25 – 5/26 7:30 a.m. A city resident reported that her husband’s BMW
motorcycle was stolen from the driveway during the overnight hours. On Monday, the bike was
found abandoned between the railroad tracks and the VRE parking lot. The investigation is
ongoing.
1243 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 5/24 12:00 a.m. – 8:25 a.m. A foreman reported that a number of
copper pipes were stolen from the construction site. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Regal Cinema, 3301 Plank Rd, 5/24 3:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A patron reported that an unknown
person broke the passenger side window on her vehicle and stole her purse. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
700 block Sophia St, 5/25 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that an
unknown person stole the front license plate from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
1600 block Airport Ave, 5/25 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that her
daughter’s cell phone was stolen while the daughter was a guest at a friend’s house. No suspects
or witnesses at this time.
Aladin, 2052 Plank Rd, 5/26 12:10 a.m. A customer reported that her cell phone was stolen from
her table. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Thurman Brisben Shelter, 471 Central Rd, 5/26 7:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. A resident reported that
her debit card was stolen from her wallet and later used to make a purchase at a local store. The
investigation is ongoing.
Taco Bell, 543 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 5/26 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. An employee reported that an
unknown person stole money from his wallet at work. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
VANDALISM:
600 block Amelia St, 5/15 – 5/25 4:00 p.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person
damaged the windshield and driver’s side window on his vehicle, apparently by shooting at it
with a BB gun. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1900 block Washington Ave, 5/25 – 5/26 5:00 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person
damaged her lamp post, apparently by shooting at it with a BB gun. No suspects or witnesses at
this time.
Walmart, 1800 Carl D silver Pkwy, 5/27 5:15 p.m. A Stafford resident reported that an unknown
person scratched and damaged his vehicle with a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
DUI ARRESTS:
Stephanie Pardo, 34, of Richmond was arrested for DUI in the 1300 block of Central Park
Boulevard.
George Armstrong, 37, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 2200 block of Lafayette
Boulevard and on a warrant from Essex County charging him with failure to pay child support.
Shannon Hill, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 800 block of William Street.
ARRESTS:
Lidia Vasquez, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for assault and battery.
James Humphreys, 50, of Stafford was arrested for grand larceny, possession of stolen property,
possession of burglary tools, and destruction of property.
Carrol Beverly, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Edward Washington, 46, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.
Torshan Jefferson, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Kohls.
Christopher Fagan, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Wayne Motley, 36, of no fixed address was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania County and
Stafford County charging him with felony shoplifting and failure to register as a sex offender.
Shaun Elder, 28, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Tanner Decatur, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Jonathan Minor, 21, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Johnny Flippo, 49, of no fixed address was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging him
with shoplifting.
Zachary Fichter, 22, of Harrisonburg was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Kelsey Carter, 21, of Richmond was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Mohammad Mirza, 36, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Anthony Fuentes, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
