Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports

THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2013
LARCENY:
1200 block Seacobeck St, 1/16 -1/17 7:00 a.m. A total of five residents on Seacobeck and
Buckner Streets, and one on College Avenue, reported that an unknown person entered their
unlocked vehicles and rummaged through their belongings. Items of value were stolen from two
of them. The investigation is ongoing.
1000 block Jills Pl, 1/15 – 1/16 9:20 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown person stole an
iPod and some cash from her unlocked vehicle. A neighbor on Preserve Lane also reported that
someone had rummaged through his vehicle, although nothing was stolen in that case. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
Flowers Bakery, 1013 Spotsylvania Ave, 1/5 – 1/16 5:30 p.m. A driver reported that a handheld
scanning device was stolen from the business. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1300 block Kenmore Ave, 1/16 5:30 a.m. – 10:15 p.m. A resident reported that a remote control
helicopter and a quantity of cash were stolen from his apartment. A suspect has been identified
and the investigation is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
Dovetail Cultural Resources, 300 Central Rd, 1/15 – 1/16 9:00 a.m. A manager reported that the
windshield and passenger window were broken out of a company owned vehicle. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
2000 block College Ave, 1/16 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A resident reported that the rear window
was broken out of his pickup truck while the vehicle was parked on the street. No suspects or
witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Grant Hartsfield, 34, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Office Depot, public
intoxication, and inhaling a noxious substance
