LARCENY/POCKET PICKING:
500 block Jefferson Davis Hwy, 5/30 1:25 pm. A 66-year-old City resident reported that he
was walking back to his home from the Fredericksburg Shopping Center where he had just
withdrawn cash from an ATM and made some small purchases. The victim was on foot behind
the Rent-A-Center when a young male approached him from behind and stole the wallet out of
his back pocket. Another young male was in front of the victim on a scooter when the theft
occurred, and the victim remembered that he had seen the two males together inside the store
where he withdrew his money. The victim and other witnesses then saw the two young men
fleeing from the vicinity in opposite directions. Shortly after officers arrived on the scene, one
of the young men was located at the intersection of Normandy Avenue and Fall Hill Avenue;
he was detained and later positively identified by the victim as the subject who was on the
scooter. The images of the two young males were also captured on a store’s video
surveillance, and the second suspect has been identified but has not yet been located. Both
suspects are 17-year-old Fredericksburg residents. The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
ASSAULT:
400 block Bragg Hill Dr, 5/30 4:00 pm. Several juveniles, ranging in age from ten to twelve,
reported that they were shot by what they believed to be a BB gun while they were walking on
Bragg Hill Drive. The seven victims reported that the weapon was in the possession of two
other juvenile males. None of the children were injured significantly. The two offenders, age
ten and eleven, were located and detained by officers who responded to the scene. The
offenders were turned over to the custody of their parents with referrals to juvenile intake
authorities for charges of assault and battery. The weapon, an air pistol, was located and
placed in evidence.
 
 
LARCENY:
Leonard Truck Caps, 1401 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 5/30 9:00 pm. A manager reported that two
sets of truck step bars were stolen from the business by a young white male driving a red
Toyota Tacoma pickup. The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
VANDALISM:
100 block Hickock Cir, 5/30 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. A resident reported that she heard a loud
noise outside at 11 a.m. and later discovered a bullet hole in her vehicle. The investigating
officer recovered a bullet fragment from the driver’s seat of the vehicle and placed it in
evidence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
 
DUI ARRESTS:
Mauricio Lopez Ceron, 51, of Germantown, Maryland was arrested for DUI and refusal to
submit to a blood or breath test in the 2900 block of the Blue Gray Parkway.
 
 
ARRESTS:
Brittany Strader, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Stafford charging her
with destruction of property.
Antoine Tillman, 36, of Ruther Glen was arrested on warrants from Caroline County charging
him with distribution of cocaine.
Scott Butts, 46, of Triangle was arrested for public intoxication.
Mordecai Schneggenburger, 39, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession/consumption of
alcohol on City property.
James Bonsall, 57, of no fixed address was arrested for possession/consumption of alcohol on
City property.
Lashell Johnson, 21, of Washington D.C. was arrested for malicious wounding.
Lavell Johnson, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for disorderly conduct.
William Payne, 23, of Chesapeake was arrested for public intoxication.
