Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports

THURSDAY, JULY 5, 2012
 
 
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
CVS, 591 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 7/5 12:20 am. An employee reported that a male subject
presented a note to the pharmacy clerk demanding prescription narcotics. The suspect implied
that he would harm the employee if she did not comply, but he did not display a weapon.
When the employee refused to give the suspect any drugs, the suspect ran from the store and
fled the parking lot in a boxy shaped older model silver or gray four-door sedan, possibly a
Mazda or Toyota. The suspect was described as a white male in his 30’s or early 40’s, about 6
feet tall and 190 pounds, with a scruffy beard or goatee and a strip of medical tape across his
nose. The suspect was wearing a black and white ball cap, khaki pants, and a light grey T-shirt
that was edged around the collar and cuffs with a darker color. The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
DRUG VIOLATION:
400 block Princess Elizabeth St, 7/2 7:30 pm. Detectives served a search warrant at a
residence and recovered several cultivated marijuana plants and packaged marijuana from the
basement apartment. Robert Nelson, 30, of Fredericksburg was arrested for illegal
manufacture of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. Nelson was
incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
 
 
WEAPONS VIOLATIONS:
900 - 1300 block Princess Anne St, 7/3 8:40 pm. A 55-year-old Stafford resident reported that
the driver of a silver Mazda pointed a handgun at him as they both traveled on Princess Anne
Street toward downtown. The Mazda driver was later identified as Matthew Bocson, 36, of
Stafford. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office took Bocson into custody at his home on July 4
and he was turned over to City police. Bocson was charged with brandishing a firearm and
aggressive driving and he was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1000
bond. A handgun was also recovered at Bocson’s residence.
IHOP, 2831 Plank Rd, 7/4 3:00 am. The security guard for Hospitality House reported that he
heard several gunshots coming from the area of IHOP and he saw a silver four-door sedan
exiting the IHOP parking lot at a high rate of speed. Officers discovered shell casings in the
front parking lot of the restaurant, but there were no direct witnesses or any reported injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY:
900 block Monument Ave, 7/1 – 7/3 7:30 pm. A resident reported that an unknown person
removed the window screen from a rear window. It did not appear that entry was gained to the
apartment. The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
LARCENY:
800 block Cornell St, 7/1 – 7/3 9:00 am. A resident reported that an unknown person
rummaged through the interior of her vehicle and stole a quantity of loose change. No suspects
or witnesses at this time.
Devonshire Dr, 6/27 2:00 pm (reported 7/3) A resident reported that her wallet was stolen
from her purse. A possible suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
Regal Cinemas, 3301 Plank Rd, 7/2 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A King George resident reported that
a bag containing her laptop and checkbook was stolen from the trunk of her vehicle. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
Virginia Outdoor Center, 3219 Fall Hill Ave, 7/3 10:00 am – 10:40 am. A Stafford resident
reported that his cell phone was stolen from his backpack while he was in the river. No
suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
 
VANDALISM:
City Hall, 715 Princess Anne St, 7/2 – 7/3 8:30 am. An employee reported that graffiti was
painted on the rear exterior wall of the building. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Keavy Ct, 7/2 – 7/3 6:30 am. A resident reported that the rear tires on his vehicle
were slashed. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
 
DUI ARRESTS:
Travis Hudson, 37, of Bowling Green was arrested for DUI and eluding in the 3600 block of
Fall Hill Avenue.
Daniel Dowdy, 21, of Falls Church was arrested for DUI in the 1900 block of Plank Road.
 
 
ARRESTS:
Raymond Deitrick, 23, of Ruther Glen was arrested for public intoxication.
Brody Zeigler, 27, of Holden, Louisiana was arrested for animal cruelty.
Michael Noell, 19, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Jose Castro, 33, of Fort Washington, Maryland was arrested for possession of alcohol on the
riverbank.
Melanie Jones, 49, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Jade Bicknell, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.
Roger Felton, 25, of Woodbridge was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Richard Felton, 25, of Woodbridge was arrested for drinking in public.
Tony Plumley, 28, of Ruther Glen was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Brian Livingstone, 25, of Chula Vista, California was arrested for public intoxication and
possession of marijuana.
