Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports

MONDAY, JULY 16, 2012
 
 
ROBBERY:
1500 block Prince Edward St, 7/13 11:40 pm. A 56-year-old visitor from Maryland reported
that she was walking her dog around downtown and approached a young man to ask him for a
hotel recommendation. The victim walked with the male subject for a short distance, when
suddenly the subject reached into the victim’s back pocket and grabbed her wallet and keys,
tearing the victim’s clothing in the process. The suspect ran from the area and a resident called
911 after hearing the victim yell for help. The suspect was described as a black male in his
20’s, approximately 5’8” with a thin build, and wearing all dark clothing. The investigation is
ongoing.
 
 
UNLAWFUL ENTRY:
400 block Hanover St, 7/15 2:30 am. A 50-year-old resident reported that he was awakened by
a noise coming from the first floor so he picked up his shotgun and proceeded to check the
house. The resident encountered an unknown male subject walking up the stairs inside the
home and he ordered the subject to go back down the steps and get down on the floor in the
entrance hallway. The subject complied and was still on the floor when officers arrived. The
subject was extremely intoxicated. Daniel Veit, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public
intoxication and unlawful entry. Veit was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail
under a $1500 bond. Veit was able to get into the house because the occupants inadvertently
left the front door unsecured.
 
 
LARCENY:
200 block Keavy Ct, 7/14 – 7/15 2:50 pm. A resident reported that her vehicle was stolen from
the parking lot of her apartment complex. The vehicle is a black 2004 Chevrolet Impala with
Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.
1900 block Washington Ave, 7/6 (reported 7/13) A resident reported that her laptop computer
was stolen from her bedroom. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
800 block Charlotte St, 7/13 – 7/15 3:20 pm. A resident reported that an unknown person
entered his locked vehicle and stole a quantity of guns and magazines that are used for training
simulations. The investigation is ongoing.
500 block Lewis St, 7/14 – 7/15 8:00 am. A resident reported that a section of her fence was
disassembled and some of the fence materials were stolen. No suspects or witnesses at this
time.
100 block Hillcrest Dr, 7/10 – 7/15 1:15 pm. A resident reported that some household items
were stolen from her apartment. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is
ongoing.
1000 block Great Oaks Ln, 7/12 – 7/15 12:00 pm. A resident reported that jewelry was stolen
from her bedroom. The investigation is ongoing.
 
 
VANDALISM:
1100 block Hearthstone Dr, 7/13 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. A resident reported that his portable
basketball goal was damaged. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
2000 block Fall Hill Ave, 7/13 8:00 pm. A resident reported that the side mirror on her vehicle
was shattered. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
600 block Pelham St, 7/14 – 7/15 6:35 am. Two residents reported that the tires on their
vehicles were punctured and flattened. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
 
ARRESTS:
Juvenile female, 15, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Juvenile female, 15, was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
Andrew Foster, 46, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication after being
interdicted.
Michael Fernandes, 23, of no fixed address was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Lindsey Clark, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony shoplifting from Walmart and
possession of schedule III narcotics without a valid prescription.
Nicole Mitchell, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony shoplifting from Kohls.
Daniel Haga, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony shoplifting from Kohls and
possession of burglary tools.
Pierre Armstead, 22, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Zachary Hartman, 26, of Partlow was arrested on a warrant from Manassas charging him with
failure to return rental property.
Terral Spencer, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Diane Patterson, 52, of no fixed address was arrested for violation of a protective order.
Gregory Broyles, 48, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
