Fredericksburg Police Incident Reports

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2013
ASSAULT/WEAPON VIOLATION:
1000 block Heritage Park, 2/18 6:30 p.m. A 20-year-old city resident reported that he and a
friend were playing basketball when they were approached by a male and female known to the
two friends through school. Without warning or provocation, the male and then the female shot
the victim multiple times with a BB gun, striking him in the face, arm, and torso. The victim
reported that the subjects left the area on foot, and he called police after returning to his
apartment. Both the victim and his friend were able to identify the suspects by name and other
details. The victim denied the need for a rescue squad.
The male suspect, a 15-year-old student, was taken into custody later that night when an officer
saw him walking on Fall Hill Avenue. A BB gun was recovered from the backpack he was
carrying. The juvenile was placed in the Juvenile Detention Center under charges of malicious
wounding and brandishing a firearm. The juvenile may face additional charges related to drugs
and other items that were also recovered from the backpack.
The female suspect, Whitney Fox, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested this morning at school and
charged with malicious wounding, brandishing a firearm, discharging a firearm within the city
limits, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Fox was incarcerated at the
Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
LARCENY:
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/19 11:00 a.m. A loss prevention employee reported that a
white male with a full beard stole electronic items by concealing them in his clothing. The
suspect left the area in a brown Jeep Wrangler. The investigation is ongoing.
VANDALISM:
William Street Market, 801 William St, 2/19 10:15 a.m. A neighbor reported that she witnessed
a male subject cutting the copper line to the air conditioning unit behind the store. The suspect
was described as a male wearing a gray hoodie and a black backpack. The suspect left the area
on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
VEHICLE TAMPERING:
1400 block Kenmore Ave, 2/19 6:40 p.m. A resident reported that he saw a male subject
rummaging inside his pickup. The resident told the unknown male that he was calling police and
the subject left the scene on foot headed toward Mary Ball Street. The subject was described as
a black male in his 30s wearing a black leather jacket and black stocking cap. No known
suspects at this time.
ARRESTS:
Carlos Bridges, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
Dominique Perez, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for assault and battery
