The Fredericksburg Police Department has made an arrest in the homicide that that occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday. Police say that 35-year-old Tyrone Tomek Johnson was apprehended on Wicklow Drive without incident.
Twelve hours earlier officers responded to the scene at the 300 block of Brock Square in the Central Park Townhomes just after 3:30 a.m. The victim's friend, who lives in the neighborhood, called 911 when he discovered Nathaniel Dywayne Henderson bleeding and apparently deceased, in a nearby townhouse. Authorities say the man suffered an apparent gunshot to the head. Nobody else was inside the townhome when police arrived. However, they have since learned there was a dispute between the victim and Johnson. Johnson is charged with first degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He remains jailed.
