A 3-carat diamond ring donated anonymously to a northern Virginia Goodwill thrift store sold for more than $11,600 in an online auction yesterday.
Employees at Goodwill's Annandale store say it was dropped off in a plastic bag with some other jewelry and 15-hundred dollars in gold sold at another auction. The money will be used to support job training programs.
