Governor Bob McDonnell is pushing job opportunities, paying a visit to Intuit in Fredericksburg Wednesday afternoon.
We ask him what the answer is for the thousands here and along the beltway still out of work or on government forced furloughs. He says the amount of cuts proposed for federal workers and the military is unacceptable. He also expects that if there aren't changes soon, the cuts could hurt area families well into next year.
McDonnell hopes Congress will get on the same page to write a budget and that area taxpayers write letters and make phone calls to hold them accountable.
The local stop is part of the governor's weeklong tour of Virginia.
