Law enforcement officers and other first responders gather at the Stafford County Public Safety Building Wednesday morning as Governor ceremoniously signed legislation that will make it easier for them to do their jobs.
McDonnell said a lot people from the area made the legislation possible.
Legislation also includes a measure that authorizes the transfer of money seized from criminals to fund the state's public safety memorial. Stafford Sheriff Charlie Jet made the first contribution to the fund with $20,000 dollars seized in Stafford County.
