Germanna Community College unveils its new, high-tech Science & Engineering Building and Information Commons at 1:00 p.m. Friday at its Fredericksburg Campus at Massaponax. A ribbon cutting and tours will be open to the public.
The green building will be used as a teaching tool and features a windmill, a green roof with grass and plants for insulation, a glass exterior that reflects heat and provides natural lighting and other innovative approaches to conserving energy.
