Hang onto Your Historic Half Race Bib or Risk Trouble with the USMC

by Deirdre Blake posted Apr 17 2014 10:53AM
If you're in the Historic Half next month or the Marine Corps Marathon in October, you better hang on to your race bib.
Two men are accused of swapping bibs at the 17.75K in Prince William last weekend and the winner lying about who he was. They're both disqualified from the October race and any other Marine races this year. A man and woman from Virginia will now get bumped to first and second for last weekend's event.

Bib error
Dear Officials, My husband and I picked up our bibs together and I mistakenly filled out his. We both ran the 5K this morning. Please correct this so the rightful place winner earn their awards. My name is Donna Boetig and my husband is Allen Boetig. Sorry for this confusion. Your Half Marathon was the best. If you need any clarification, you can reach me at my home at 410-266-5675. Thank you and apologies for my lack of attention. Best, Donna Boetig
