With Halloween tomorrow how do you rank your favorite candies? Will you be passing out candy to trick-or-treaters? Will you be eating any of that candy while you wait? Or will you just sneak some candy from your kids pails when they get in from trick-or-treating? :)

All my favorites would have to contain chocolate. At the top of my list is Milky Way, Three musketeers, M&M's, Reese's Peanut butter cups, and Snickers. :)

Rank the candy here on this buzzfeed list.

If you can get away from work this week, may I suggest you head to the mountains and check out the beautiful fall foliage. We went North on Skyline Drive. My husband and I went this past weekend just for a little day trip.

We had a picnic at Dickey Ridge and just took in all the breathtaking views. Here's my husband, sitting down at our picnic. :)

We had a great time. The leaves are mostly at their peak. If you go, just watch out for the asian lady beetles. They are not rea like the North American ladybugs. These are a brown color and they are EVERYWHERE. One landed on my neck and pinched me. It hurt. LOL

Do you remember slap bracelets? They were all the rage when I was a kid. Not sure what they are?

Wikipedia has the best description:

A slap bracelet (or snap bracelet) is a bracelet consisting of layered, flexible stainless steelbistable spring bands sealed within a fabric or plastic cover. The bracelet can be straightened out, making tension within the springy metal bands. The straightened bracelet is then slapped against the wearer's forearm, causing the bands to spring back into a curve that wraps around the wrist, securing the bracelet to the wearer.

Have you wondered what's inside a slap bracelet? It's a piece of measuring tape. Who knew? You could totally make these yourself. :)

Have you heard the latest song "Shake it off" by Taylor Swift? Well it's def a catchy tune. Our sister station 99.3, The Vibe is playing it since it's more pop than country. I like the song, but then again......I love all of Taylor's songs. I've seen her live in concert and I've even met her. She's just awesome. A friend of mine sent me a new video she saw and it's cute. It's a bunch of Mascots dancing to "Shake it off" and I had to share it with you. :)

Check out the video here.

This past weekend, my BFF and I surprised my little sister in taking a baking class at Sur La Table in Richmond. We learned and baked French Macarons. This is a very delicate cookie.
The class was a lot of fun. We learned a bunch and we did a great job baking the cookies. We baked a Pumpkin Macaron and a Vanilla Spiced Macaron. Yummy!

Taylor Swift, loves cats....she owns two cats, but in this new diet coke commercial she has hundreds. It's cute. She's helping promote diet coke and of course her new album, 1989. At the end of the commercial one of her cats is standing next to her album cover.

Hopefully, it won't rain this weekend. If you're looking for something fun to do, you could go to the Graves Mountain Apple Harvest Festival. I try to go every year. I hope to go on Saturday depending on the weather. You can bring your whole family because there's something for everyone. Take a ride up to the apple orchard on the hay wagon.
Enjoy live music and watch apple butter being made in a huge kettle. There's always a lot of vendors selling arts and crafts too. Buy some Graves Mountain applesauce or jellies and jams. Of course, there's plenty of food for sale including burgers, hot dogs, pork rinds, and funnel cake!! :) Don't forget to bring cash because there's no ATM's.

Maybe I'll see you there?

There's plenty of farms right here in our area that have pumpkin patches, where you can go out and have fun picking out your pumpkins.
