Historic Half Gives Region an Economic Boost

According to a report by a University of Mary Washington business professor, the Marine Corps Historic Half held in May was a big boost to the local economy.
In fact, it says the event spurred as much as $8 million or more in local spending. This year's Historic Half saw more than seven thousand people taking part overall in three races. Next year's event kicks off on May 16th and the runs are on the 18th.
