Fredericksburg police are investigating the death of a of man whose body was discovered just after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning off Fall Hill Avenue.
Spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe says their officers and fire officials responded to the 911 call of a body found inside a tent in the camp, deep in the woods. She says there is severe trauma to his body and they are ruling the death a homicide.
Bledsoe says they believe 43 year old Armando Escobar was well known and hope someone will help provide information. Authorities say they are not concerned with the citizenship of anyone providing help, but just want to solve the case.
