This is nothing to LOL about. As of last month, Virginia state troopers have written more than 325 tickets for texting and driving since July 1st.
That's when it became a primary offense, so you can be pulled over just for reading or sending one. The fine for the first offense is 125-bucks. The DMV says the top three distractions last year were drivers taking their eyes off the road, fatigue and cellphone use.
