LATEST: Police ID Victims in Spotsylvania Shootings

Two people are dead Monday afternoon and one wounded following a shooting in the 8300 block of South McLaws Place in Spotsylvania.
Spotsylvania Sheriff's Captain Mike Harvey says a 43 year old Spotsylvania resident David McVearry Anderson is believed to have shot and killed his 75 year old mother Jean Anderson. His 51 year old sister Laura Reeves was shot in the elbow and abdomen and was taken to surgery Monday afternoon. As of Monday evening, she was reported in critical but stable condition. Reeves husband also lived at the home but he was at work at the time of the shooting.
There was a rifle and handgun found at the shooting scene. Authorities are still searching for a motive in the apparent domestic case.
