Land Once Bound for Slavery Museum Goes to Auction

by Deirdre Blake posted Oct 11 2013 7:13AM
The 38-acres in Fredericksburg's Celebrate Virginia South once planned for the National Slavery Museum goes to auction at 11 a.m. on Halloween.
The museum organization now owes the city about 445-grand in back real estate taxes and lawyer fees. The auction could get postponed or cancelled if the organization files for bankruptcy, pays the back taxes or sells the land before that date.
