Three bank robberies in the Fredericksburg area are under investigation this morning.
Two happened in Stafford County earlier this morning. The first happened at 9:11 a.m. at the Wells Fargo on Garrisonville Road. The teller told the robber she didn't have the denominations he requested and he left the bank.
The second robbery happened at the BB&T on Warrenton Road at 9:41 a.m. where the robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash. 
The third occurred about 10 a.m. in Spotsylvania County when the suspect came into the PNC Bank on Jefferson Davis Highway and demanded money. While he did not have a weapon visible, he did tell the teller he was armed. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A second suspect is believed to have been the driver of the getaway car a maroon Toyota Corolla.

A teacher at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford County faces multiple sex charges after having a sexual relationship with a teenage boy. 
According to the Stafford Sheriff's office 27-year-old Erica Lynne Mesa is charged with three counts of Custodian Indecent Liberties and three counts of Solicitation of a Minor Using a Computer Device. she is jailed without bond.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.

A Virginia man has donated an ambulance to Liberia to help combat the Ebola outbreak.
Ken Nethken of Fishersville says he decided to donate the ambulance after he heard about the outbreak in West Africa. His brother bought the vehicle 12 years agoand he'd been using it to transport supplies for his business. An embassy spokesman says it was impressive to see a regular person who wanted to do something to help protect people.

The new Miss State Fair of Virginia has some big high heels to fill.
Taylor Reynolds of Chesterfield has been crowned as Courtney Garrett's successor. Garrett, of Prince Edward County, went on to win the 2014 Miss Virginia pageant and was first runner-up in the Miss America pageant earlier this month. Newly crowned 19 year old Reynolds is a sophomore biology student and track-and-field star at Queens University in Charlotte.

Virginia State Police say they are now pursuing a link in the case of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham and the death of Morgan Harrington.
In a statement a state police spokeswoman says that last week's arrest of Jesse L. Matthew Jr. provided a significant break in the Harrington case with a new forensic link for state police investigators to pursue.
Harrington disappeared during a rock concert at the John Paul Jones Arena. Her body was discovered months later in a field miles from where she was last seen.

Fredericksburg police need your help to find a man wanted for threatening to kill his girlfriend over the summer, in front of their three young kids.
She called the cops in July to say he threatened her with a knife at their Townsend Square apartment. Michael Eric Costley is charged with attempted malicious wounding and is described as a black, 190 pounds and is 5 feet 11 inches tall.

If you're among the folks that recently had fraud charges on their account after getting gas through the pump at a local station, you'll be glad to hear Visa is cracking down. The card giant is rolling out new software aimed at predicting whetherit's you or a thief trying to fill up at the pump. It uses some 500 pieces of risk data. If the pump is sketchy, you might see a message to pay inside.

There's a chance to see and hear about the plans to improve local roads, bridges, sidewalks and rail this week.
The state's six year plan is coming to Germanna's Center for Workforce in Fredericksburg Thursday. Officials will talk about changes at 5:00 p.m., show the plan displays at 5:30 and you get the chance to ask questions, starting at 6:30 p.m.
