Local Homeless Shelter Vows to Put Families in Homes

Instead of giving smaller gifts to the Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter this holiday season, they want you to help put a family in a home for the holidays.
They will accept money to try and put 35 families into a permanent house by Christmas. It costs about 35-hundred bucks each to adopt a family, but smaller donations are still welcome. It's part of a state effort to get homes for 740 families in 100 days that kicked off October 17th.
