Man Charged with Ramming Police Cars

A 61-year-old Timberville man is charged following a chase that started in Stafford and ended in Spotsylvania with at least two damaged patrol cars.
According to fredericksburg.com the incident started with a traffic stop near U.S. 1 and U.S. 17 in Stafford. 
A chase began on U.S. 17 and onto I-95 South.
At least one Stafford deputy's cruiser was rammed according to Stafford Sheriff's spokesman Bill Kennedy and a State Police cruiser was struck twice. No one was injured in the crashes.
Francis Raymond Calewarts is charged by state police with two counts of hit-and-run and two counts of reckless driving. Charges are pending in Stafford.
