A Hanover County man was killed Monday afternoon in a Caroline County crash.
State Police report that 60-year-old Wayne N. Cole of Beaverdam was traveling south on Countyline Church Road when a car traveling on Gatewood Road lost control and entered the intersection, hitting Cole's pick-up truck. The truck ran off the road and up an embankment, ejecting Cole, who was not wearing a safety belt. He died at the scene.
The driver of the car, 57-year-old Mary Erickson of Ruther Glen suffered minor injuries. She is charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain proper control.
