A Spotsylvania man is behind bars after being taken into custody on Wicklow Drive in Fredericksburg just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday night.
A Fredericksburg police officer recoginzed the driver of a white Infiniti on Fall Hill Avenue as the suspect of a shooting at the Grapevine Cafe back in June.
The officer followed the car and got a warrant to search the vehicle, after noticing a strong smell of pot. They found a number of bags of marijuana and a pistol hidden under the hood of the car.  Lance Durante was arrested on outstanding warrants charging him with  reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm in a public place. He is additionally charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, carrying a concealed weapon, and altering the serial number of a firearm.
