93.3 WFLS, 99.3 The Vibe and Window World of Fredericksburg have teamed up with the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank to collect non-perishable food for area residents who are in need of assistance in the City of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania, Stafford, Caroline and King George Counties.

Starting, Monday, September 21st through Friday, October 2nd, we’re asking area elementary, middle and high schools to collect non-perishable food in a competition to see which school can collect the most food by weight. There will be three levels of competition…Elementary School, Middle School and High School.

We are encouraging the following county school systems to participate…City of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George and Caroline Counties.

The 93.3 WFLS and 99.3 The Vibe Morning Shows will interact with the schools by contacting them throughout the competition getting updates on how the school is doing and what the school is doing to encourage their students to participate. The radio station websites will list the participating schools and will keep track of each schools progress.

On Saturday, October 3rd, we’ll hold an official weigh in at the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank, where the schools bring everything that was collected and have it weighed.

The Elementary School that collects the most food by weight, will win a 93.3 WFLS Turkey Hill Ice Cream Party, hosted by Jessica Cash and Geoff Moore. The Middle School that collects the most food by weight will win a 99.3 The Vibe Dance Party hosted and DJ’ed by 99.3 The Vibe. The High School that collects the most food by weight will win a 99.3 The Vibe Dance Party hosted and DJ’ed by Afternoon Drive Host Tony B.
